If you want to use INTERNET. I mean actually if you want to use it. Don't even think about using Vodafone 3G.

I was living in england and had a 3g dongle by 3, I always got a 3g connection and sometimes HSPA. I could always stream videos and play playstation 3 games onlines. It might have lagged a little, but it worked and for what it was it was good. I have now moved to Jersey, and I can only get a vodafone dongle. This is by far the worst internet connection I have ever seen in my life, my dial up connection 15 years ago was faster then this. It takes on average 10 minutes to load a web page, and most of the time it wont load at all. I cant even gain entry to my email without it timing out or disconnecting. I have never been able to connect to a 3g signal on it, and can only use the crappy vodafone GPRS. Whoever buys this is a mug, mines pay as you go so luckily I can throw it in the bin where it belongs. After this experience I now hate vodafone, for false advertising and selling something that does not work. I will make sure I tell everyone I can just how terrible it is, PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK. Even if you desperately need internet, this will not give you it!

I have taken vodaphone 3g. Rs 750 plan. This is the worst internet service I have ever seen. On some OS it will not work at all.It is not even useful for checing ur mails.when u go to vodafone center he will open the Google page and shows. But other that that u cannot do anything. evey 2 min it gets disconnected. No one on the earth can be happy after taking this connection. They are cheating customers by giving free dongle if we are taking 750 pan for 2 months. Never ever go for Vodaphone 3g data card.

According to me (in Gurgaon)vodafone data card is ok as of now because 3G services are not available with vodafone and we are getting normal speed for single user.
and i hope vodafone will provide a good speed once 3G services will be available but if 3G services will not be with them than its really BAD becuase vodafone is selling their data card saying that its 3G compatible and G services will start soon.
Data Card price is less than others
Speed is normal (Download speed is 30-40KBPS)

I have to say that in general the card is fine.
If static in g3 area you get enough bandwidth to watch Skyplayer without too many issues, use skype on video mode, etc...this even in peak hours.
It is not good jumping transmitters if on the move in car or train which can be frustrating.
I use daily for outlook connection whilst on the move and have found it to be as good as other datacards

Both the Product and the service are very bad, don't get it. It's a scam...you will pay for a non-existing connection and like me also warranty, just to be told that you are paying 25 pounds a month for no reason whatsoever.

this vodafone 3g stick is mostly for very light users . with £15 topup inculd in the box which is not bad i brought mine from vodafone at xmas 2008 at £49.99 now you get it for £19.99 from argos . and i only get one bar on the signal on 3g which is ok . best part is if you dont use the modem for a week to a month you dont lose any credit . the sms software dont work at all so why there give you the software is strange . to sum it up its ok bit faster then my 3 network dongle . so £15 topup for 1 gig is a bit pricie but for that you prob get a good speed and no time limit on top ups .

I'm using Vodafone Mobile Internet now for about 2 months. They claim speeds of up to 7.2 mbps. In reality most of the times between 20 and 100 kbps (even off peak hours, like 3am at night). Would not recommend it to anyone. It is simply a waste of money and time.

I think this is a total waste of time this sort of Teachnology should of waited for a couple of years, but yet their selling like Hotcakes in shops and people don't realise their wasteing their money on this rubbish. it's only good for standard messages and you can't play online games because the download limit and yet you're paying top money for the monthly contract for horrible service it's very easy to go over the useage policy they only give you a couple of gigabytes a months for which is uesless to anyone my advice stick with the landline internet very very less painful

Wait until the technology and the coverage improves. Its so so slow. Basically i can only get gprs at 4.8k, so like a normal dial-up modem. It never connects to G3 network.

Well this sort of wireless technology should of been some kind of beta test for customers first.. but seems all these modems are in the retail stores selling with data packages but yet very poor signal cover in a lot of areas and very expensive packages to not worth the hassle half the time and with useless software might has well stick with the home internet and use the mobile phones for emails ! these days most phones can do emails anyway and msn and explore the net i'd give it 10/10 if the single was better and more advanced type of connection and software

Software is bulky and not the most useful - I ran the card without it most of the time. 3G coverage in UK is simply not good enough - it ran on GPRS most of time - not what I paid lots of money for.

Got the Vodafone Mobile Connect card as a free item when I purchased my laptop, came with £20 worth of credit, so far so good. But when I tried to use it in Portugal, found that roaming was blocked. Complained to Vodafone, assured that roaming would be enabled (but I wasn't convinced). Once again in Portugal trying to use the Vodafone P network, not allowed. Complained again to Vodafone, who again assured me that problem would be resolved. Apparently the excuse was that I was on a tariff that didn't exist! As I'm very infrequent in use, there was no point in taking out a contract as that would be a complete waste of money (which is what Vodafone wanted me to do). Persevering, I tried once more to use the Vodafone Connect card outside the UK and again roaming was blocked.
Frankly Vodafone are absolute rubbish.

There is no doubt that at £35 + VAT for 1GB unlimited, it is definitely the best value, as O2 and orange both charge £45 + VAT per month for the same tariff.
Vodafone and Orange Cards were free, O2 charges £120 for the card.
The performance of the Vodafone card was very poor though, more black spots throughout the UK than my garden after the dog has finished with it, and very very slow at most times.
I cant fault the setup and the ordering and delivery process, but, as I own 4 for my business (different companies), I end up giving the Vodafone card to the less priority user.
Whilst it is the best value, Vodafone really need to hurry along with their coverage of the UK.

I was unsure about these cards on reading earlier reviews but signed up for the service anyway.
Have found the card invaluable for Internet access - fast and stable connection. Using logmein.com allows control of the office server even whilst sailing! A must for any small business.

Overall, by standards in terms of most 3G cards the Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS data card will beat most. Personally, I would not recommend this product in terms of mobile internet access until it improves in speed and availability.

When I ordered the Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS card, Vodafone seemed very keen not to disclose their tariffs. They weren't mentioned in their terms and conditions or instruction booklet, and I had to phone them to ask. I was told it was £2 per Mb (about 50 emails). I was not convinced by this, so I decided only to use it a bit for the first month. I used the card for a total of 3hrs 46minutes and received a bill for £176, with a bill for a further £29 on the way. Aside from this extortionate pricing, the connection speed is slow. I can't help feeling I've been had, and I am to understand from the unhelpful support staff, there's nothing I can do about it.

I have looked long and hard for a Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G data card, and I can say that Vodafone are out on their own. If you go to www.airtimemanager.co.uk you will get a free card and 250Mb for £20 a month plus VAT, and that is the best value. My card has worked with no hitches what-so-ever. I have no problem recommending this to anyone, and I have done so.

I bought my Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS 3G data card secondhand on Ebay.
I knew it was Sim unlocked, so as I've only got an Orange Sim at the moment that's data enabled for my phone, that's what I've used. I searched around the Web for the settings needed, which took all of 5 minutes, and hey presto, I was connected through GPRS at 56K. I'm waiting for a new 3G Sim to come through the post, and I will try it to see the difference in speed.

The above thought is smart and doesn't require any further addition. It's perfect thought from my side.
