The DigiFusion FVRT100 is a good cheap recorder with two freeview tuners.

Unfortunately the box freezes on a regular basis and needs to be disconnected form the power supply to reset it.

This week the box died - I contacted customer support who were very helpful, they advised me that it needs ...

I could have got a reconditioned one for £50 and sent mine back but I figured the 3 month warranty was not really worth it. After reading all the reviews on this page I decided to shop around for another make and have bought a Daewoo DSD 9503 for £135 it has 80 hours recording time, can ...

I sent an email to tech support about whether any of these problems could be better managed and I got a quick reply. (No, there is no upgraded software for better menus nor alternative source for the EPG.)

This was a cheap machine and is still working after 18 months of regular use. Other than the outage caused by the power supply I haven't had any problems. This appears unusual looking at other reviewers comments though.
I have stuck with the machine mainly because I have seen other manufacturers u ...

I had a DigiFusion FRVT100 hard drive recorder for over a year, and it regularly crashed, until eventually it gave up completely after a download one evening. I then bought a FRVT147 as it had extra memory, but this crashed within the first 6 months, and no amount of cold starts would make it work. ...

I found the DigiFusion FVRT100 awkward to use but could put up with that.
Like most people that have reviewed this product, I have had several replaced during the warranty period. however as soon as the warranty expired after a year, the next (inevitable) failure left me high and dry.
    It's nice to ...

Has anyone managed to get a refund for the DigiFusion FVRT100 hard drive recorder after the end of the warranty period on the basis that it should be expected to last longer than that?

I had problems with my DigiFusion FVRT100 hard drive recorder for 14 months, and now I have to buy another one. I wouldn't recommend it, and DigiFusion never gave me any support whatsoever. To me it was £200 down the drain.

I bought my DigiFusion FVRT100 hard drive recorder in January 2005. In early March I came home from work to find it had frozen. After doing the usual unplugging etc., I contacted the helpdesk who advised me the power had failed.

    That's when the frustration started.

I posted my receipt to them ...

After 4 months, my DigiFusion FVRT100 hard drive recorder kept freezing, and so I had to delete hours of unwatched programmes. One month later, the same thing happened again, but it was unrepairable. Currys no longer stock them, so I have a refund but no HD recorder!!
