This is the worst and most unreliable email hosting we have ever used in over 15 years of hosting corporate email! fasthosts.co.uk is down once a month. No pattern. We run 50 email boxes – 11 go down one month for 3 days. Then the next month 5 go down for 48 hours. Yet their website says no servers are down!… Read Full Review

We have had our website down today 29/05/2011 since 0711. As of 29/05/2011 1439 our website is STILL down. After 4 calls to the support centre, they failed to; notify us of a problem, give us an idea of time to resolve and offer any sympathy. Unfortunately we are in a que thats it tough! For £72 PCM! DO NOT USE FASTHOSTS - they do not send reminders of upcoming renewals, invoice is sent at the same time that they debit your card, chance of a refund is a flat-out NO. This was their email to me, note i was charged 30 DAYS prior to expiration, so even if I knew it was coming up for renewal I have to act over a month prior to my services even expiring, not many people are that well organised!

Web hosting is below par, for an above average price. Customer support have little technical knowledge and just follow a script.
Billing policy is the main problem - they auto-renew EVERYTHING without even telling you. No advance warning, they invoice you on the day they charge you. Their claim is that you can view upcoming invoices in your account area, but this only show the next month. The VPS hosting that I had with Fasthosts was set to 'AutoRenewal' by default.
I no longer needed this hosting and at the renewal date, £420 was charged to my credit card for a further 12 months of hosting.
I immediately contacted Fasthosts to cancel my account but since I hadn't given the requisite 7 days notice, they refused to offer me any refund on the additional months that had been charged.

I tried for several weeks to get a domain name that a reseller had released for me. Needless to say it did not go smoothly, even after the domain name was being shown as 'available' Fasthost still thought that the reseller had not released the domain. I ended up going to another registration site and within 5 minutes I had registered the domain name. The knowledge and customer service from Fastnet was abysmal. I paid the last month of the 12-month contract and now I get no response from them. I think they are gonna delay it so that they will get my money and then say "oh so sorry, now you auto-renewed your contract".

Going with someone else after 1 year with Fasthosts. FTP was insanely slow (40kb/s max), poor customer service including robots trying to take your account number, much downtime including a random database outage where they didn't seem to know what was happening.

there is no way to cancel you hosting with fast hosts apart from to cancel the credit card you originally billed them with
They have very poor customer service. please if you are thinking of using fast host please please dont use them
They are one of the worst companies i have ever had to deal with. They treat you like a liar and will take to to a debt collection agency over £8.99 even though you have been trying to cancel your service with them for over 12 months.

Having had to purchase extra bandwidth monthly is a issue which is making me condsider cancelling/moving my "Blog" account, as I am out of the country several times in any given year. Fasthosts were not bad when they started, but they are getting worse and worse! Customer support is terrible. New User Account web interface is not working properly. Bad support and lack of account web admin functionality causes annoying unauthorized auto billing to credit card! Dedicated servers hardware is not branded therefore not tested properly for drivers compatibility, servers are rebooting randomly due to BSOD. I first signed up to fasthosts in 2004 and at that time they were a professional and helpful company with a fair pricing policy. I was so impressed with them as a company I referred quite a few of people their way.
Over the years though they have started to charge more money and offer less service which to me seems to have dwindled significantly.

I've been with Fasthosts for 7 years. But now I have finally had it with them keep taking money out of my bank account against my wishes. I had to change my debit card to stop them. Now of course they won't release a domain name I need until they have an up-to-date card number. F*@#king crooks as far as I am concerned.
