“Dreadful money grabbers”

They've repeatedly tried to take payment for services I don't even have with them, and sent all manner of threatening emails and demands for "payment". “Absolute Joke”

I bought a years domain package with them, never had any problems with domain issues however customer service is terrible and they seem to follow answer sheets. A month before my contract end i set my account to expire at the end of the contract. “TOTAL WASTE OF TIME”

I have tried to cancel my contract in December 2010 when I closed my business. I sent a letter into the head office to request that i wanted my account to close and expained that my business was no longer trading. I heard nothing I moved out from the premises and thought nothing of it. They have continued to eat up the small amount of money I had in my back account to take their charges out. “Fasthosts - Money Grabbing Scum”

I bought a mis-spelt domain name due to a copy and paste job from an email (my bad - i know) and notified them within an hour asking for a refund as it was a mistake. No refund. Anything to do with Fasthosts is always bad - I did also used to have hosting with them too but they took money out my account without my permission as my card was expired and then they put a charge on top. kind of your own fault for mis-spelling the domain name.

They would have submitted it to the appropriate registry when you purcahsed it, so they would of incurred costs for doing this.

Its actually your fault not theres, clearly states in their terms of service!

“Common problem”

Having read some of these posts, I'm in the same position. they are demanding money in advance for a service I no longer need with the threat of legal action. Has anyone called their bluff and refused to pay or do the debt collectors get the money? Perhaps somebody with legal knowledge could advise these 100's of customers where we stand in relation to their "terms and conditions" I intend to research their Directors and perhaps make a personal call!!!… Read Full Review

“FastHosts uses Debt Collectors illegally for dead services”

A year ago (dec 2010) Fasthosts billed me for a service which I cancelled months before.They issued warnings, applied late fees and sent the account to Debt Collectors. They would not admit their mistake till three months later after escalation considerable correspondence and much wasted time on my part. “Be aware Do not use”

Be aware Do not use. They are horrible people!I have a Linux dedicated server running Fedora with FastHosts web hosting. I have been with them for 3 months. The last month has been dreadful. Updates controlled through FastHosts wiping out PHP class files, and down times that break their service level agreements. The update lost me 2 and 1/2 days, as they have no engineer support at the weekend - losses into thousands. No apology, no communication and no one who knows what they are doing… Read Full Review

“Just avoid to use!”

Just do not use them if you respect yourself and you own time. They do not provide a customer support for dedicated servers, but they do advertize it. When i have mentioned this fact, they just told me that I have commitment for 12 month contract, and cannot stop the contract as i ordered it for business. And of course they refused to refund it. By the way I was not notified about 12 month commitment when ordered it by the phone. They are such a sharks. I do strongly recommend not to use them… Read Full Review

“Dire customer service - dire everything ”

We run a number of websites at Fasthosts so when the service goes down we need action quickly to get us back up and running asap. Some of our customers run critical applications and their web site is everything to them. So when the service goes down and nobody bothers to let us know what is happening and then when we chase we get fobbed off with "it will be up at 5.00pm" and then guess what- it doesn't happen and nothing has happened 24 hours later - (down now 48 hours) - and then to be told it… Read Full Review

“Terrible in every way”

Where do I start? SLOW is an understatement, unreliable, I never know if my mail is going to open. We keep losing business because of them - new customers are not impressed when we do not reply to their requests promptly or ask them to resend their documents to our private mail. “terrible service do not touch”

Spend £200 a month a virtual server that has had days and days of down time, no one helps and when you finally get through to the customer service they do very little to help. They don't even make you aware that your site is down so Ive been spending £600 a day on Google ad words unaware that im sending them to a few lines of read only mode. That is so true. They left me without e-mails for my clients for 3 days when they did a plesk update. They promised they would fix it on same day but after 3rd day I was pulling my hair out and lost about 20 clients due to their incompetence of not being able to fix simple E-mail outage caused by them.

Their excuse was they are not responsible for 3rd party software but yet they charge you for it as a service!! dis-graceful for this type of company and 3 DAYS to fix an e-mail outage!! Do not use them as they are bad and losing clients daily!

“Appalling availability”

I've had nothing but trouble since moving all of my domains to Fasthosts' VPS infrastructure a few months ago. I continually experience outages of several hours and, on one occasion, for the best part of three days! I am fed up of spending a ridiculous amount of time handling complaints from (quite rightly) annoyed clients who's websites and email functionality are continually offline. They are probably the WORST hosting company it has been my displeasure to encounter. Do not sign up with them under any circumstances. If I can dissuade at least one person to never ever ever etc use fasthosts then i've done a decent job. Maybe i'm thick but I got persuaded by the tele sales to take a months hosting, when I went to cancel the account I was told I was locked in to a years contract. How does that work??? FastHosts where do i start?
