They autornew a domain at high cost 30 days before expiry when it can be done on the last day. They claim that send a reminder, yet it may not arrive. 1&1, Godaddy, internet.bs etc all renew on the last day. What is the logic to autorenew a domain 30 days befor expiry? It is not necessary. I feel this an underhanded way of operating. NEVER USE FASTHOSTS. Cheaper, better registrars are available.

I'm having for 6 weeks trouble with the email and i cant reach them because i don't have all the log ins. There is no email address to send them an email. We have called several times and still i have no proper working email. im kicked out news serves because of bouncing back emails. When they would have a email address that you can reach without all the inlog codes i could have tried to solve the problem.

Just don't go near. God help you if have a problem because the support staff are completely clueless and totally unhelpful. I genuinely believe that their support team are just some homeless people they have dragged off the street, given a cup of tea and told to answer the phone. In fact that's probably a dis-service to homeless people (sorry). AVOID AVOID AVOID

Auto renew took £95 from bank just before rent day with no prior notice. I had cancelled auto renew and they took it anyway, I will be contacting every available resource including the police to get advice and would tell everyone DO NOT USE THEM. 100s of people on here have had the same problems and the service is barely usable at the best of times. Disgusted.

Had not heard of the company until I found debits from them on my bank statement. Had to cancel my debit card and my bank is taking the matter uo with the Police.

I had the service for a year and didnt use it (my choice). I asked to have it cancelled one day after they automatically renewed it. No willingness to cancel the renewal. Their right of course - but therefore not the sensitive company they projected at time of initial purchase and not a supportive customer support

Shocking customer support, only answer is (it's company policy!) Closes down important email and websites with no notice then whacks on a huge admin charge.... stay well clear.

Expensive domain costs and rubbish support. Also they like to suspend domains if the contact details aren't kept up to date. AVOID.

Absolutly rubbish, brought a hosting package from them but I never used it as I took out a multi site hosting with another company. They debited another full year renewal from my debit card without me knowing , when I challanged them abot it they stated the contract was auto-renewed and I should have cancelled my service when I recieved the renwal email, but I never recieved the one and only renewal email, after trying to explain that the service had never been used as they could see from their statistics nor would it every be used I requested a full refund to which was totally dismissed, after a few telephone conversations and many emails of which some where not replied to and asking this to be esculated to higher managers the answer still was a absolute no. Customer service is appauling, I don't know if their silver business hosting service is any good as I never used it but ended up paying for it for two years, I would not use this company again even if it meant the death of the internet.

Bought a dedicated server with them for 2 months. No one told me during the process that their contract is for 12 months minimum WITHOUT ANY OPTION TO CANCEL IT EARLIER, while I described the situation - I need it for 2 months not longer. Now they are chasing me to pay a full year and provide no option to cancel earlier.

Do not choose fasthosts for your hosting. Prices are way to high compared to other alternatives out there. Had the problem what many others suffer on fasthosts with them taking money even though didn't want to renew with them and them refusing to give any money back. Money taken 30 days before renewal was even due so they can get money before you are aware. BEWARE - do not use!!!!

been trying to complain about mysterious use of my debit card and fasthosts cannot explain to me which domain it was for. Had a rude man on the phone today telling me that they had responded to my query in October but this query had nothing to do with the "automatic renewal" he was talking about neither did I ever get a satisfactory response to my complaint hence why I stopped all payments to fasthosts. they hide the fact that renewal is automatic. I understand about renewals if if you dont renew your account should be terminated but this people terminate your account and still run you down for the money and threaten you with debt collectors. Well knock yourself out because in not paying and if you persist I will be taking he matter up with trading standards and the advertising standards agency on these grounds Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999, Schedule 2, paragraph 1, states that terms may be unfair if they have the object or effect of: requiring any consumer who fails to fulfill his obligation to pay a disproportionately high sum in compensation. The terms & conditions relating to suspending accounts is also illegal. Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999, Schedule 2, paragraph 1, states that terms may be unfair if they have the object or effect of: (c) making an agreement binding on the consumer whereas provision of services by the seller or supplier is subject to a condition whose realisation depends on his own will alone. (f) authorising the seller or supplier to dissolve the contract on a discretionary basis where the same facility is not granted to the consumer...

To provide as fair a review as possible I would like to make it clear that this review is directed towards fast hosts shared business hosting and load balanced services. Although it is a fact of life that you get what you pay for and shared hosting is a cheaper alternative, you should be able to expect a reasonable amount of trouble free hosting and you should always expect good customer service and support when things go wrong. Over the last 3 months I have had neither from Fasthosts and I am in the process of transferring all domains to another provider. Where Fasthosts let themselves down is their attitude to customer service, often the only way to get through is by raising a support ticket. Whilst I can confirm their response time is good, the problem lies with their reply's. For example, today they had a major outage across all their services, after following their support page updates throughout the day, they confirmed all services were back and up and running. When I raised a ticket to let them know I still had issues, giving them specific information and asking specific questions, all they could manage was to copy and past their latest support page update and thank me for my contact. Demonstrating that they either did not bother to read my ticket or they couldn't be bothered to help me resolve my issues/ leaving me frustrated and no further forward. If your considering using fasthosts I would search all reviews and decide very carefully on if you want to risk it.

I have been using Fasthosts for 2 years now. They have been ok so far. Very few price increases. And good customer support. However on the 4th Jan 2014 they were down for the whole morning! Their own website was down! And all my websites were down. Except for this glitch they have been serving me well.
written by newheart2005 on 04/01/2014
Today Fasthosts is down. Completely. Their DNS servers are also down. Which means my eCommerce web sites are down and I am losing income. This is not the first time there have been problems with their DNS servers, and these are crucial to the health of any web site. They might be cheap but they are too unreliable. I would host elsewhere.

Not impressed. Told them to cancel at the end of contract. They auto renewed anyway and threatened debt collector if not paid !!!! Be wary of this company
written by on 15/11/2013
Beware, these people will invoice you for domains and hosting even if you've asked them not to renew and turned off all auto-renew options, very unhelpful staff, avoid at all costs.

what can I say your other reviewers on this company say it all

They never sent me a renewal notice and took the payment without my permission then would not refund it! The worst customer service i have ever experienced, the brain dead on the end of the phone just repeats the same script over and over
