“Appalling Service Extortionate Cost”

Fast hosts of a appalling company who charge extortionate fees and deliver very poor service. If you attempt to leave them and move elsewhere they become extremely bullying using very threatening tactics and make any attempt to cancel the contract almost impossible. They will look for every opportunity to obtain further monies from you and pass the matter over to a debt recovery agency if you refuse to pay. “SLOW HOSTS - NEVER THERE HOSTS”

Where do I start? Hopeless company, web sites constantly down - when Fasthosts were told about NO service - they blamed us - said it was our problem. No ftp service - our fault. Fortunately we have some knoweledge - so every time WE TOLD THEM HOW TO FIX IT!! Put up with this for 24 months and now we have moved our 45 domains to another company. I emailed and then telephoned a number of times to sort out a simple configuration problem (or so it turned out to be) with my VPS. They took ages to get back to me and then they did not understand what I needed. “Find an alternative to Ripoffhosts! ”

This is a deceitful company, who will squeeze every last penny from you, whether they are providing a service or not. Their terms and conditions of service are 'unreasonable' and, I suspect, some time soon they will be taken to court by consumer rights groups. Apart from adding hidden costs to your bill, the greatest difficulty is cancelling the contract. “Basil Fawlty Customer Service Academy”

I have had the misfortune to have used Fasthosts for the last two years. They try every trick in the book to make it as hard as possible to cancel your account. Technically the website hosting is easy to navigate but the graphics are naff and dated and you are very limited in the design of the site you build. Get your own back! Search for hosting in Google and click on Fasthost adverts. Having been a PPC manager I know that the keyword hosting will cost about £10 per click.

FASTHOST I always try to be as honest as possible when writing reviews and this is the first bad one I have written. (not a serial bad reviewer) Tried to downgrade a package I had signed up to 2 days after taking it out. When you ring up to contact customer care you are not allowed to be put through to them, you are told they will ring you back. Which they didn't instead it is done by e-mail. “Hosting awful, could not handle the small website, no...”

We decided to try Fasthosts on a non-profit website, a small forum, not many visitors. As soon as we uploaded it to them the site would not work. We contacted support who stated it was a Faasthosts issue and fixed it. Then it went down again, a different issue, fixed again, then it went down again, only the third time all night. “Terrible customer service and non-professional staff”

For a start the service is terrible, I had a domain and used their webmail. The webmail was woeful both in terms of interface and their supposed spam filter which let through 75% of stuff I didn't want and blocked perfectly legitimate e-mails from friends for no apparent reason. Their mobile service was extremely poor also having to resort to the phone browser to check e-mails. “Terrible experience”

I was lead to believe I would be able to simply set up a site for my new business - I have had issue after issue and still do not have a site up and running. It looks really unprofessional as images either appear as a red cross or only half down load so that only half an image shows. “Fasthosts ripped me off for £1137.60 ”

A year ago Fasthost has misled me when sold a dedicated server which they claim to be able to migrate hosting accounts from server with another provider. As we discovered very quickly It was not able to migrate anything because “for security reasons” they block number of ports which needed for software on the server to work properly. Ive used this company for many years and had various dedicated and vps servers with them. The service was great and my account manager sorted all of my issues and queries quickly and efficiently. Didn't deliver what they sold. Tech support worse than useless wasting time suggesting things that they later admitted couldn't be done. Starting from November 2011 until May 2012 we had 4 outages with Fasthosts that lasted between 2 to 3 days each. They have cost us thousands of pounds and refuse to compensate apart from giving the odd free month that no way makes up for the damage they have done. “Simply the worst ”

We signed up with Fasthost in Feb 2010 to host our website and emailed them to close the account in April 2010. In March 2011 they charged our account again for the years hosting fees. When we contacted them their customer services gave us a run around and eventually admitted they had charged wrongly and they would refund. We have not received any refund to date.
