Bottom line is that they maximise their profits on the set menu and thats why they refused to serve us our choice of food individually.
We contested and told them that we have not received all the food on the set menu and therefore it is not fair that we pay the full price. Then they got aggresive and abusive so that we have to pay them in order not to spoil our night out.
On the overall if you are looking for a restaurant to spend a hassle free night don't go to la Tasca. (read more)

Staff at La Tasca in the West End were slow to serve, and the food was slow to arrive. The portions were baby sized, and they have lots of rice/potato.
If you want to feel full on little sized portions and feel hungry again soon after then go here. (read more)

I love Tapas, and would love an independent Spanish/Tapas restaurant to be located nearby. In the absence of one, I go to La Tasca. In the Solihull branch, it is convenient for the cinema, but go with lots of time to spare if you need to go to the pics. The service is friendly, but forgetful and really really slow. (read more)

Wouldn't recommend La Tasca's. It seemed expensive for the standard of food.
We ordered Paella which took 45 minutes to get to us. By the time it arrived it seemed overcooked. It was also tasted very salty to me.
We also ordered some garlic bread but the waiter completely forgot about it and it didn't taste of garlic! (read more)

I went for a drink with a friend last night, and when we arrived we asked if we could only have drinks, which we were told was fine. We were seated and had a drink. A large party of women arrived and were very loud, and my friend is German and could not understand what I was saying because of the noise, so we moved tables. A waiter came up to us and asked if we were going to eat. We said "no", so he asked us to move. The only place left was the table we had been on before, so I explained it... (read more)

The staff in La Tasca seat you quickly and don't mind you choosing where abouts you sit. Even when the staff are under pressure, their smiles remain!
The food is simply chain food-average. What the food lacks however, the atmoshphere makes up for. For something unlike all other more sedate places in Bury, head for La Tasca. New Years Eve in particular was fantastic! (read more)

Everyone talking about the La Tasca in Bury St. Edmunds.
In we go, put on a table by the bar, every time the group moved next to us we knew about it.
Gets busy so they cram them in by the bar.
People pushing past you every two seconds not to mention the juggling waiters.
Restaurant or Circus?....Olives taste better at the local supermarket. (read more)
