Went out and really fancied Tapas but was SO disappointed with the food, service and ambience of La Tasca. Wish I had read all these reviews fist and saved myself the money! We had my son with me but they never told us they had a kids menu. We had Tapas to start which was all soggy, and tasted the same, then we had Paella which was again soggy and over cooked. No clean plates were brought so we had to eat them off our dirty ones. The table was never cleared and we were never given any... (read more)

Went out for a celebration as love Tapas, wish I had read review first.Food was plain, boring and luke warm. Ordered Paella for three, it was burnt, and tasteless and only realised later when a couple ordered the same dish, even though you pay for three you get a portion for two. The table was dirty and sticky, and after our meal was delivered no further attention from our waitress. Overall very disappointing and begrudged paying the bill. Not value for money. (read more)

Pretty shocking food - all tasted tired and reheated (including inedible Calamares), green salad included rock hard, inedible Avocado.
A very limp effort at fresh simple food. Will not return. Don't be fooled by the nice location and surroundings - you'll feel cheated. (read more)

Very very poor. Food reheated tasteless rubbish. Very mean portions even though we paid extra on a few dishes to get a bit more. Calamari soggy, 6 measly prawns in stale oil, Sangria-absolutely terrible, spare ribs disgusting, value for money appalling, service terrible. What a complete rip-off. Never, ever, ever again. No response from the feedback given as yet. How they have the audacity to market it as a 'taste of Spain' I do not know.It couldn't be further from the truth. They should be... (read more)

I have been to other La Tasca restaurants before and they were ok, but this one, just off the Strand in London was horrible.
First, we were given an awful table, even though the restaurant was half empty. Upon changing tables, we had to wait around 10 minutes for somebody to take our order. The food (starters were olives and bread) didn't come for another 15 minutes or so! The waiting times were absolutely ridiculous, even though it was half empty and it's a tapas restaurant, where the... (read more)

After living and working in Spain for more than 35 years i think i know what the proper tapas are like. What I had the other day in Cambridge was absolutely disgusting, tasteless, reheated from lunch time...expensive.
I send them an e-mail which they never replaid back to me.
It's a shame. Never again! (read more)

As a couple we have been lots of times and loved the food drink atmosphere.
So invite a dozen friends as a treat, only to be served in a freezing cold venue. £12 a jug for lemonade with a bit of fruit and splash of wine they called Sangria. Starving guests as a result of switching the menu to a sub-standard one at a £1.00 a head more. Rubbish !!! Deserves to close Apologies to my freinds so making them suffer. Mugged of Just under £300 Never again ... (read more)

Absolutely terrible food even with 50% off it wasn't worth the money. We had 4 dishes between two of us and did not finish any of them except the prawns. Even the wine was very poor. (read more)

I'd like to be able to write a review but we couldn't get in to an almost empty restaurant at 5.10pm on a Sunday. All the tables had been booked we were told. An hour and a half later we returned to our car having eaten elsewhere and it was barely busier. Apparently, the tables had been reserved for diners who were turning up about 7! So tables have to be kept clear for nearly 2 hours in a 'casual dining' restaurant? We'd even said we weren't staying long as we had our children with us... (read more)
