I would not buy this make - you will regret it if something goes wrong with the device! Dealing with TomTom is a complete nightmare. My TomTom freezes on start up and now needs a new memory. Trying to deal with TomTom via there website "email" system just does not work.

Having recently had self inflicted problems with my Tomtom (my son plugged in the wrong charger and blew it up!) Everything seems to have gone wrong with my Tom Tom Go 510, mine is plugged in to mains on car and will shut down at random and tell you the battery is flat - so why is it not charging? It will take you through a city centre rather than down motorways, the blue tooth is the most frustrating thing I ...

Will look around before I buy another TomTom. Sometimes takes you down wrong roads. Map out of date almost from the day I bought it. (25000m a year) When taken out of car and put away, the SD card kept coming out, and had to reset it regularly. It's at a point now where it has been reset so many tim ...

The mapping is a good as ever. Its very rare to come across any road junctions that aren't on the sat nav. The sucker that attaches to the windscreen simply pushes onto the screen. Old versions actually had a lever which would increase the suction - which made the sat nav much less likely to fall of ...

I would not be buying another TomTom 510 as it is so unreliable and in the middle of a journey the signal can be lost suddenly.

I will definetly not be buying a Tom Tom Go 510 again because I don't feel I can trust the build quality.

I must have the only TomTom GO 510 that works fine and is easy to attach & detach from windscreen. And it never falls off!
