“Avoid Opodo, it means troubles!”

Few weeks after making a reservation for a ticket we found out just by chance that one of our tickets (we are a couple who was supposed to travel together) did not actually exist. The reservation was cancelled by Opodo with no reasons despite the credit card had been debited. He didn't get back the money yet. “approach with caution”

Booked a flight to amsterdam for £102. Came through on my bank statement as £406! Had to call customer services 3 times as I was on hold for over 40 minutes. Although it was fairly straight forward getting the difference refunded (as expected), clearly a lot of inconvenience was caused. “wrong price advertised for non-existent tickets!”

Booked cheap flights through opodo as found their link via skyscanner. After few hours I received an e-mail that they cannot issue me tickets for the return flight and hence they will refund me money only for that flight. I asked them to return me the full amount as I need to book the whole journey again; everybody knows single tickets are more expensive than returns. “They lie about flight availability”

It is the second time I go through hell with Opodo. I booked with them again, as they seem to have the lowest prices on the internet. I even purchased Opodo Extra this time thinking that it would make a difference and that I would receive the same travel agent service I received from others. Yes, I am going to report it to Trading Standards and I think that other people should do the same. The way to do this is via the Citizen's Advice Bureau. There is an on-line form to fill out. I think they need to be shut down.

“Worst airline booking service ever - DONT USE OPODO”

I booked with them then received a confirmation. A couple of days latter I got an e-mail requesting that I fax a credit card statement to them so they could perform a security check. Ridiculous. I have never been asked to do anything like that. My credit record is perfect. This company is impossible to contact. I have tried by e-mail (really hard to find a e-mail address!) and by phone - call did not go through. “the worst travel website ever”

i booked a ticket on the opodo website for €66 i thought that everything was great they then asked me to provide a copy of my passport for secuirty reasons which i thought was very strange. 4 days after sending my passport i had a reply telling me that the booking had been canceled due to a rise in fare. “£130+ to amend flight date error!”

Poor customer service. Telephone rates are premium and customers kept waiting unnecessarily long on the phone. £130+ charge to amend ticket within 24hrs due to incorrect date entered, booking direct would have been free to amend. “Be very very careful if you use Opodo for booking a flight”

I booked a return ticket from Paris to Cairo through Opodo and I had the confirmation for my flights. “Book flights direct- don't use Opodo”

Zero stars really. Needed to cancel or change flights due to a bereavement. Call centre doesn't pick up and charges 0845 rates. I've spent pounds trying to sort the mess at a very difficult time. They wanted to CHARGE me even more money to cancel flights- and an additional admin fee despite it being a bereavement- and wouldn't cancel without an additional payment meaning they have us in their vice-like grip as it is necessary to have cancellation paperwork for the holiday insurance to pay… Read Full Review

I booked airline tickets using this site, subsequently realised the dates were wrong and immediately tried change them. 1) OPODO call centre only operates between 0900 to 1800 monday to Friday. 2) No all airlines allow you to change you tickets if you book through Opodo. 3) To cancel the tickets they wanted to change me £25, so they could refund me £41. “No Customer service”

I bought a ticket, and there was a problem with it, but it is impossible to get any customer service from these people. They charge for the phonecalls, and make you wait incredibly long times, so those are VERY expensive calls. I almost would prefer higher prices for phone calls, instead of waiting that long. “Inhuman treatment of a cancer sufferer”

“Save yourself some stress ”

“FRAUDSTERS!”

Take your money and give you a mickey mouse fake booking reference making you think all is well. Go to airline website with said booking reference "There was an error while processing your request". “If that is the case, Opodo, you need a new IT system”

I am practised at online booking/purchasing. The norm is a final confirmation screen where you can review the details of your purchase before committing. I booked 2 tickets on Opodo from France to Peru and was supposed to receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. After 3 days, I emailed them to ask whether there had been no confirmation but they didn't reply.
