I learnt the hard way that opodo's internet site does not support two internet bookings at the same time!! I was booking a Bucharest - Paris flight for me and my mum when, surprise, surprise!! I ended up being the passenger on both of the flights... “TERRIBLE SERVICE & WITHHOLDING VALID REFUND”

UTTERLY DISGUSTED. I STRONGLY recommend you steer clear of Opodo. Their system double booked a Ryanair flight, taking two charges off my credit card. I called their exorbitantly expensive phone number and was told to call Ryanair to send Opodo the discount before Opodo would refund me! I did that, and Ryanair sent me immediate confirmation that the refund had been made. Nearly two months later, I am still waiting for the money back from Opodo. “Opodo not serious! How to make money without selling...”

They offer trips for prices that are infact not available anymore with the airlines. You may book them and experiece unexpected additional fees during the booking process. You are tried to buy travel insurances repetively. You complete booking and think you have a ticket. Your creditcard is charges by the company right away. I booked a car c/o Opodo with Budget for pickup and return at nice (France)terminal 1. My mother is 83 and I made certain that we did not have to travel with the unconfortable bus to terminal 2. Guess what ... The car was not available, I finally had to pay the upgrade of the car from terminal 1,got to accept to return the car to terminal 2 and when leaving the car turned out to be out of oil! “Not to be trusted!!!”

We booked 4 flights to New York through Opodo using a Visa Debit card that had more than enough funds in the account. The day later I recieved an email staing that 'due to failing our random security checks your booking has been cancelled'. I phoned them and initially they refused to tell me why we had failed the checks. “Worst and very poor ”

It was worst experience while booking tickets through opodo. I booked flight of total amount 349 pounds. But this site did calculation in such a worsat way that taxes are converted separately into euros and flight charges converted separately and many other useless taxes. Even it did not display charges but just deducted from the card. Cancellation and modification of flight dates was also not possible. Really worst. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid booking through Opodo, and book directly with the airline instead. I had a very bad experience with Opodo. Seems to be similar story to the other complaints - I booked a flight from Lisbon to London, got the confirmation email, Opodo actually TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT and then when I get to the airport check in desk I discover that Opodo didn't actually book me a ticket. “Double- AND unauthorized charges!”

My booking apparently failed because the address of credit card holder was required to be that of the LEAD traveller. After switching Lead Traveller, I found the money had been taken from my credit card anyway. A few days later, we were told our inbound flight booking "for some unknown reason" had failed. I booked a return flight from London to Paris last week for a weekend trip after seeing they were the cheapest company. However when updating my passport details before travel I realised my last name had been misspelt. A typo that made my last name *****q instead of just *****. “RUBBISH FOR REFUNDS”

After cancelling flights valued at £1700 I had to cancel and get a refund. I knew I had some admin and cancellation charges. Opodo then took £100 of these charges in addition rather than deducting from my refund. They said 10-15 days for refund. 6 weeks later and nothing paid back to me. I booked two flights for myself and my partner through the ODOPO website. The day after I booked the flight I went to the airline website to check my flight plan to which I found that my bookings had been cancelled. Two days before departure, I checked the airline website and found that my flights had been cancelled. Update: Although I received an email from Opodo stating that I would not be charged, they did charge me. When I called them (another £3.50) I was told they needed to investigate. I'm not sure what they are investigating as they cancelled the original reservations (and then seemingly reinstated them) and I have their email. After questioning, I was told that it could take 15 days to investigate. So a very stressful time has cost me double the air fare, a £13 *bank fee*, and £8+ in calls.

I have just had the same experience as others writing on this site. Opodo took an illegal and unauthorised payment of an additional £68 from my account. Basically, the quote given after I added all the details for 3 flights to Malta was £412. Only after I committed to pay this sum did a receipt and confirmation email come back for £480. We got the great fare along with a booking number for the airline. We thought we were on to a good thing. Had a lovely few days away, checked back in at the airport to return home only to find the flight did not exist for that day. It cost us €1250 to reserve an alternative flight back home from Paris. “Opodo stole my money”

I booked a return flight to Italy through Opodo, and the final price on the final screen, when entering credit card details was GPB 149.62. They sent me an email confirmation within minutes, saying "Total amount paid today: GBP 149.62". When I checked my bank statement, the amount they actually took was GBP 154.97!!
