“the worst travel website ever”

i booked a ticket on the opodo website for €66 i thought that everything was great they then asked me to provide a copy of my passport for secuirty reasons which i thought was very strange. 4 days after sending my passport i had a reply telling me that the booking had been canceled due to a rise in fare. I was rather annoyed as i had already confirmed the booking and didnt understand how they could just cancel it. “£130+ to amend flight date error!”

Poor customer service. Telephone rates are premium and customers kept waiting unnecessarily long on the phone. £130+ charge to amend ticket within 24hrs due to incorrect date entered, booking direct would have been free to amend. “Be very very careful if you use Opodo for booking a flight”

I booked a return ticket from Paris to Cairo through Opodo and I had the confirmation for my flights. Getting to the airport at Egypt air counter I was told that there was no seat reservation for me, I called Opodo and they said that they cancelled my reservation because they couldn't get the payment with my Amex; after few minutes on the phone I realized that they made a mistake and wanted to blame on a payment problem that was not true because they said they will credit my account straight… Read Full Review

“Book flights direct- don't use Opodo”

Zero stars really. Needed to cancel or change flights due to a bereavement. Call centre doesn't pick up and charges 0845 rates. I've spent pounds trying to sort the mess at a very difficult time. They wanted to CHARGE me even more money to cancel flights- and an additional admin fee despite it being a bereavement- and wouldn't cancel without an additional payment meaning they have us in their vice-like grip as it is necessary to have cancellation paperwork for the holiday insurance to pay… Read Full Review

“Tried to Cancel airline tickets”

I booked airline tickets using this site, subsequently realised the dates were wrong and immediately tried change them. 1) OPODO call centre only operates between 0900 to 1800 monday to Friday. 2) No all airlines allow you to change you tickets if you book through Opodo. 3) To cancel the tickets they wanted to change me £25, so they could refund me £41. “No Customer service”

I bought a ticket, and there was a problem with it, but it is impossible to get any customer service from these people. They charge for the phonecalls, and make you wait incredibly long times, so those are VERY expensive calls. I almost would prefer higher prices for phone calls, instead of waiting that long. “Inhuman treatment of a cancer sufferer”

My gf just diagnosed with blood cancer and told to go home to seek urgent medical treatment. We booked a ticket on Opodo for her and received a confirmation email which said it was the e-ticket. It said there would be no further tickets and she just had to take it to the check in desk with ID to fly. “Save yourself some stress ”

We booked flights with Opodo.de. We got the email confirmation saying that everything went through and that IF there was a problem we would get contacted within 24 hours. The day before we were going to leave we wanted to check in online. Once we typed in the booking number, they said they could not find our booking! “FRAUDSTERS!”

Take your money and give you a mickey mouse fake booking reference making you think all is well. Go to airline website with said booking reference "There was an error while processing your request". “If that is the case, Opodo, you need a new IT system”

I am practised at online booking/purchasing. The norm is a final confirmation screen where you can review the details of your purchase before committing. When I saw the total from Opodo seemed to have acquired hefty (but unspecified) charges, I cancelled the transaction and started again - arriving at a more acceptable (if still inflated) fare. “Avoid Opodo”

I booked 2 tickets on Opodo from France to Peru and was supposed to receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. After 3 days, I emailed them to ask whether there had been no confirmation but they didn't reply. After one week, I called them and was told that the booking had been canceled but they were not able to explain why or to justify why they had not emailed me to inform me. “Refund challenge - 3 months and counting”

“They stole money from my bank account !”

I booked a flight via Opodo because it appeared to be the best price. However, when checking my bank statement, I realised they had taken much more money than the price stated at the time of payment (and stated again in the confirmation email). I feel fooled and I feel they stole money from me. When I called them (10p/min with long waiting time) to get a refund of the difference, they refused and offered no compensation. My husband is lying in a hopsital bed with memory loss. We bought a premium Air France ticket and will not be able to take the plane on the dtae of the flight. Oh my god!
That is the most disgusting customer service ever!
OPODO are by far the worst i have ever experienced!

I wish i had read the reviews before i had booked my holiday with them, they are appalling. I am writing a long complaint letter to their main office in leicester so collating other awful reviews of them.

I hope your husband gets better and i hope you get you money back!

As I also got a text saying the same thing I stupidly assumed this was their confirmation email. I booked 4 flights to Thailand with Opodo via Cheapflights.co.uk They took the money quick enough but trying to get them to email Etickets has been a joke. I've phoned them 4 times at quite some expense (10p per minute). They just keep waffling about backlogs, blah blah blah... Now 1 week later the Etickets still haven't arrived.
