“Confused!”

What they have done is so strange that I cannot even explain it. Suffice to say, I have ended up paying extra costs for a flight that was booked on Friday 14th February and I cannot understand why!!. “Opodo stole my money”

I booked a return flight to Italy through Opodo, and the final price on the final screen, when entering credit card details was GPB 149.62. They sent me an email confirmation within minutes, saying "Total amount paid today: GBP 149.62". When I checked my bank statement, the amount they actually took was GBP 154.97!! I wrote to them to say they made a mistake, and they replied saying it was because of the Euro exchange rate. I have to say that Euro price and exchange rate were never mentioned… Read Full Review

“Opodo is the plague. Keep away!”

My son is backpacking around Europe. I booked a flight for him to the ice hotel in Kiruna Sweden. He does not have easy access to the internet so I arranged the flight for him. “Never give your money to those thiefs! ”

Just had the worst ever booking experience! I booked my flight with OPODO ( since my best flight option was to use a combination of two airlines) and received email confirmation from them that booking was confirmed. day before flight while doing check in I note that my reservation does not exist.. called OPODO- they said that reservation was cancelled due to my bank that did not approve transaction.. I open up skyscanner.net.. Search for flights.. 4 ticketing companies showing me same price. I have used expedia, lastminute, opodo in past so happy enough to use opodo this time.. I choose the flight, enter the travellers details.. Then comes make payment page. I check different type of cards.. “Uncaring Nasty Company”

Beware when booking, this is one nasty company. Any problems and they will turn nasty quote the term & conditions and charge £50 for any cancellation on top of you losing the cost of the flight. They are absolute rubbish and not to be trusted… Read Full Review

“Shambles”

I booked two tickets but after discovering the £41.00 handling fee, and that going direct with BA would have been a lot cheaper, I cancelled the booking. As I did this within a few hours, Opodo told me this was fine and they would only charge me £35.98 for this. That was fine, although two days later I discover my card had been debited the full amount for the booking PLUS the £35.98. “Steals Credit Card Info”

I booked a flight through opodo in July and received a charge out of no where 6 months later. I have not set foot in UK nor been on their website since 6 months ago and now I receive this ridiculous charge from them. “2 out of 3 a screwed up flight. 3 x a horible experience”

Twice have I had a flight cancelled due to an 'airline security system' 2 days before the actual flight and having booked 15 days before, with a confirming email received. Once the flight was fine. However 3 times I have had to deal with customer support. Summarised: Rude, non responsive, not picking up phone, not replying to emails, on ALL occassions. This was the 3rd and last time.... “faulty systems”

took ages to book a flight for 4 for my family to come over for Christmas both debit and credit cards rejected claiming its from the bank. False according to my bank. then they claimed there was a fraud check on my account. informed me by email that the flights had been cancelled by email.which I did not check for days. “They used to be good 10 years ago....”

but not now. As other reviews say, their customer service is terrible. The telephone number that answers is their booking line. Regarding anything else you can expect spending ages on 0871 number and listening to the music. I guess they got too many customers and don't care about the quality of the service anymore. To amend a flight, I was holding the line for 45 minutes. Then it took them 30 minutes to tell me that I could not amend the flight, because the system was not working. I am experiencing the same problem! I'm trying to amend a flight but can't even get through! I've contacted the airline and they have told me I must go through opodo!! How frustrating. I've been on hold for 30 mins twice and then hung up as I'm in Chile and it's costing a bomb.....

I called again and they changed it finally. They charged me 100 pounds for it. I called the airline directly as well, but they did not change it. To be honest with you, I was hold on the line for around 30 min twice, as well. How comes? Does the system make each customer to wait for 30 minutes automatically, to get more money out of them? The "FUNNY" thing is that even when they pick up, they tell you, "hold the line please, I will check it for", then you can listen to the music for around 4 minutes, after which they tell you again " one moment please, I am bringing it up on the system"... "I am nearly there". After 20 minutes they MAY complete a simple transaction (if they want)

This is very very true .... I have also had to hold on for a long long time.

I have also tried to change my flight details and was referred to the airline.

Having also spoken to a manager, "Rashy". She was still adamant that I needed to contact the airline direct despite my advising her that the airline had advised me to contact Opodo.

Customer care is non existent at Opodo.

No consideration for exceptional circumstances.

I would recommend all to purchase your ticket direct from the airline as the likes of Opodo will always screw you once they have taken your money.

I bought a flight + hotel trip. A few days before the trip I went online to check in and realised the airline had cancelled the flight, but in reality the booking had not been accepted by the airline. I rang Opodo and after holding for 30mns (no joke!), I was told there had been a computer error and it could all be fixed if I agreed to pay an extra £30 because the flight prices had gone up in the meantime. Tried to book 6 tickets with BA. I campared Opodo price and BA and Opodo appeared a few pounds cheaper. I read all the small print to make sure. However It appears they lie on their website so they actually cost me over £100 more. “Avoid Opodo, it means troubles!”

Few weeks after making a reservation for a ticket we found out just by chance that one of our tickets (we are a couple who was supposed to travel together) did not actually exist. The reservation was cancelled by Opodo with no reasons despite the credit card had been debited. He didn't get back the money yet. “approach with caution”

Booked a flight to amsterdam for £102. Came through on my bank statement as £406! Had to call customer services 3 times as I was on hold for over 40 minutes. Although it was fairly straight forward getting the difference refunded (as expected), clearly a lot of inconvenience was caused.
