I booked a trip through Expedia ...NEVER AGAIN. I called the first time and it took 40 minutes to get through to only be disconnected. Tried calling back several times to again sit on hold. As I am sitting on hold currently 1 hour 20 minutes just to find out if I can make a change to a flight !!! “BEWARE OF EXPEDIA - NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!”

We booked our flight to Key West through Expedia Sep 2013 for our son's wedding April 2014. From October through April there were at least 8 flight time changes. The first leg of our return flight was from Key West to Ft Lauderdale. “Book with hotel directly ”

Buyer beware! Make sure you call the hotel first before you book with Expedia . We paid a 30 percent higher rate by booking with Expedia . Expedia is a BIG gimmick. 1. Did not give me a confirmation email 2. Booked hotel on the wrong day in the wrong month 3. The customer service representative had no idea what my husband was saying at all, when she spelled out our email address to her she spelled wrong still and sent me a confirmation email to my correct address saying she had corrected it to be sent to a different address. 4. While booking, the website got stuck and nothing, not even reloading, would do anything. It was impossible to finish the booking, so I had to start again - and suddenly the price was 20 euros more than before!! I told expedia, and after weeks they answered me that they would refund the money. Now, 3 months and 5 reminder mails later, the money still didn't arrive - and their service is just terrible! Not happy at all! Booked a flight and hotel package and ground transportation yesterday. Got the itinerary today and there was no shuttle service at all on it. If you are booking a premium flight online Business etc do not take up the option of booking a hotel at the same time. It will take you through the whole booking process but when you enter your card details the transaction will not go through. Just spoke to JJ at expedia. United has cancelled their flights to Thunder Bay as of April 24th 2014, which meant we could leave, but our flight back no longer exists. It was a smooth fix as JJ re-booked our flight from Chicago. You appear to be the luckiest person on earth. My experience with Expedia "customer support" has caused immense stress, a massive phone bill and possibly ruined my holiday. I have been trying to contact them for weeks to solve a flight issue but get constantly put on hold. I finally managed to get through to a non English speaking Indian call centre and they put me on hold again! 30 minutes later I had to hang up because he clearly could not be bothered to come back and help me. I have found their customer service to be disgusting and would warn people to NEVER EVER risk using the Expedia website.

I have booked and used the ticket but had to cancel one leg of the flight because personal reasons. My ticket is not restricted and the refund request was approved in October 2013 and according to expedia it has already been processed. We booked all inclusive trip and took insurance, was told we would be reimbursed if we cancelled. We cancelled and were only reimbursed hotel price.
