At the beginning of the month I went to Expedia.com to book a flight to Chicago for a funeral. I found a number of very good nonstop ROUNDTRIP airfares. “Not a bargain!”

We stayed overnight at the Pacific Inn in Redwood City and we were very disappointed. It was no secret that the accommodations were adequate at best, but we booked rooms there anyway because the rates were so low. However, the rates are now much higher - 200.00 with tax (used to be 86.00 or so without including tax), apparently because they are trying to cover the cost of the recent "room renovations". I booked two nights at the Fairmont Hot Springs for July 30-August 1. My confirmation from Expedia had these dates as well. When we were checking into to hotel, they had my dates as July 31-August 2. “Expedia misleading costumers onto bying travel...”

On July 5 booked a trip with my wife through EXPEDIA.COM., itinerary # 1110107155184. On its website we were made to believe that if we buy travel protection package plan through them, we will have the right to cancel our trip for any reasons without any penalty or fees at any time prior to 48 hours before scheduled of the trip. We used Expedia.com recently (06/2015) to book accommodations for a 10 day driving vacation. We wish now that we had used a different company. Three of the rooms we booked were NOT what we had requested or paid for. The management in two of those three facilities worked with us to provide acceptable accommodations for us. I booked a hotel room through Expedia at The Red Lion Hotel in Spokane for Hoop Fest three months in advance since 250,000 people attend the event. I did not receive a email to confirm reservations. Booked a return flight to Spain with expedia. Expedia only confirmed the outgoing flight, and refused to confirm the incoming flight, even though they collected the money from my card. When I asked how I was expected to get back, they told me I would have to go and source by myself another return one way flight back to the UK. I had to cancel my trip to the Philippines because there was a typhoon in Hong Kong and a mix-up with connections. After 4 hours on the phone with several employees who couldn't speak English very well, I received flight credit but no credit for the hotel. I'll never use this company again. “Ripped Off Because Our Father Died”

I purchased two airline tickets through Expedia for my sister and I to travel to NY to visit our father & family. Our father had been progressively doing worse in hospital, and we new he probably only had days left to live.
