Never never never ever book with expedia.
The one thing that made me so mad with the company is how they handle the price match policy. If they are so reluctant to do the price match, they should just drop the advertisement to avoid misleading the customers

I changed my flight to day before Wednesday and was told there would be only a 150.00 change fee, since my flight was at the same time. I got charged 80.00 more and just spent 45 mins on hold to be told sorry we told you. They could care less how they treat you after the sale. They figure they got your money why care about you after. I booked a motel in Cape Cod for one night through Expedia and payed $150 on the phone. When I reached the Motel, there was nobody at the front desk. Then I found out that the Motel does not have a lisence to run and the room rent if $50 NOT $150! I reached at 6 pm on Saturday evening thinking I will head out for a nice dinner by the beach but my night got ruined becasue I spent 3 hrs looking for a place to stay after that!

We booked 4 hotels through expedia for our 2 week Italy holiday. Most of the hotels were set up for our family of 5 and all was well. We arrived after 7 hours of driving at our 3rd hotel of our trip...the one where we stayed the longest...and discovered that Expedia failed to notify the hotel of our 3 children. We booked this particular hotel based on best price for area and number of persons...

Booked a flight and car hire to the USA with Expedia and things went smoothly. Was promised 3,000 nectar points.. this was mid April and to date have still not received them after approx 12 emails. I spent over £3,000 on this trip. I recently asked them to add extra drivers to the insurance but they are unable to do this. We have to go direct. Expedia sells uncomplete tickets you are obliged to spend more money on your travel for surprise otherwise you will not get home anymore. Never again - first and last time. I booked 2 rooms with 2 double beds. It was very unfortunate inspite of booking 2 rooms, Expedia booked only 1 room. after Reaching hotel i was surprised. i had to move around to look for another hotel with by disabled parents.
After calling expedia.. customer service. Was on call for almost 1 hr... people were so rude.. as it was my fault.. i guess they were right.. it was my mistake i booked it with expedia.. i will make sure i wont book any hotel or flight from expedia.

The only appropriate "star rating" for Expedia would be not a star, but a black hole.
Expedia has the worst customer service imaginable -- in fact, I would never have imagined that customer service could be so bad before dealing with Expedia.
In short, dealing with Expedia is a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!!

Expedia rated Hotel Zurich in Istanbul as a 5 star. We just got back from our trip there and witnessed the Hotel Zurich. No, it was more like an American Super 8 Motel with a pool. The front desk folks hardly knew English and not very helpful. They could not even direct us properly to the metro that was only 2 blocks away. When everything goes smoothly Expedia is fine. However if you ever need a refund, you need to be prepared for a very long battle.
I tried to book a hotel room which then came up as no rooms available. No probelm, I booked another hotel, only to find I had also been charged for the unavailable room as well. IM OUT $870 DUE TO EXPEDIA!!! I recently booked a trip to mexico through Expedia in which one of the flights was later canceled. They offered to rebook the return or refund my account for the entire trip. I choose to take the refund because i was not able to return on the earlier date. Overall Expedia had great service when it came down to booking a hotel and activities but, the tickets were a problem when flying out from your destination. When I made a few changes to my itenerary, the airlines weren't aware of the changes and it took a few hours to contact the airline directly to send out the updates. If all goes well, and you have a simple ticket, Expedia probably works well. However, if something goes wrong, you are in for a nightmare.
If you have a problem and call their help line, which is the ONLY way to solve schedule changes in your tickets, you may easily spend a dozen hours with a variety of agents trying to sort it out. They ONLY work with you while you are actually on the line with an agent. If you get cut off (which happens regularly), they abandon your caseand you have to start… Read Full Review

Travelling to USA-booked ticket for 29th june 2009 to travel from ATL to SAN.

I booked a flight by Expedia and what a mess. I got to the airport early 4:30 am, thank god! Continential cancelled the flight 11:30 the night before and called Expedia.
