I booked a flight for this July to Norway on SAS. I was unable to choose my seats through Expedia, so after the flight was confirmed I went to the SAS sight to revise my seats. SAS requires a six-digit reservation PNR number to both revise seats and confirm the flight 72 hours in advance. So I sent a message to Expedia's Customer Service to ask for the number.

Nothing is good with Expedia. I booked twice with Expedia and had a horrible experience. They booked hotels for a different date and I had to go a whole night without sleep. I had to pay out of my pocket for the hotel. Bad customer service representatives and bad supervisors. They are not ready to help. If you have to change a flight expect to spend at least an hour of your time on the phone. This happened twice.
My third miserable experience with them (1 hour 12 min.) went like this. I called Airtran to get seats assigned. They said I had no reservations for the changed flight. When I went to the Airtran website it showed that my trip was completed and past. I do not recommend Expedia for package booking since they did not provide any support for itinerary changes or issues encountered during my travel. I have had better experience with Orbitz. Also note that Expedia did not provide any support for flight or itinerary changes due to flight cancellations, etc. Infact they didn't even call us when flights were cancelled… Read Full Review

No rep at the airport, I had to find my coach amongst 50 others, had to wait till ALL flights for the day had landed(over 2 hours in the carpark) got to the hotel at 1:30am (should have been 10pm), could not even get a glass of water. Hotel smelt of sewage throughout. I was told by Expedia that my hold luggage would cost £18 for the round trip, it was £36. A complete waste of money

We tried to change the flight and according to information, you have to find a flight and call them. When you call it will take at least 20 to 30 minutes for them to answer (If you are lucky, call may get disconnected after waiting for 20 minutes). When they answer the price is no longer valid for them. They increase the price of the same ticket and force you to get that adding change charge and processing fee.

My fiance and I scheduled our honeymoon through expedia.com. honeymoons are supposed to be special right? We have bought and purchased a direct flight to Mexico at 9am. Now, somehow we are leaving the airport at 6am, the day after my wedding (ladies you understand) and we have to take a connecting flight where we only have 40 minutes to get on. I would like to say they gave us a good rate on an all inclusive to Mexico. However, you do not know what you are buying until after they have taken you money, which is when they change your flight schedule to includes a connecting flight that you did not know you were purchasing, and you now spend 13 hours travelling on day one of your trip instead of the expected 4 hours. We had a flight change, due to the airline, but Expedia accepted the flight change without our knowledge. The were unhelpful and clueless about trying to change the flights to ones closer to our original requirements. When flying out of LAX for a wedding, there was some confusion regarding my flight booked through Expedia and no one at the US Airways counter would help me. I bought two tickets for Orlando in January. Expedia immediately charged my card for over $1200. Easter weekend I got an email saying United had "changed my itinerary". The change, as I listened to an automated itinerary, was, we were now booked at 8.30am out of Orlando to fly to Denver; and at the same moment, we were booked to fly 8.30am out of Denver to Vancouver! We arrived for our hotel reservation at 12:30am. The front desk was closed for the night. Eventually we found a security guard that found us a clerk to help us check in. But there was no room for us (even though we had pre-paid). The resort had no record of a booking through Expedia.ca. Last November, I booked and paid for airline tickets on Expedia.ca for my husband and I to travel to Beijing for the Olympics. The tickets were issued and sent to us.
One leg of our flight had us traveling from New Delhi to Beijing on Air China. In December, Expedia sent us an auto e-mail to advise that our flight was confirmed, but that the itinerary had been updated.

I've used Expedia for years both nationally and internationally. I've never had too much of a problem (not seated together was frequent though). Then I had a problem and called them from an airport. My trip was all screwed up and the rep had the nastiest attitude. I had been shuttle all over between airports, missed a day of vacation due to delays and this woman was not nice. I booked 2 overseas flights with Expedia. Everything was supposedly booked until I received an email notification that I needed to contact Expedia immediately to re-book a flight the airline had cancelled.
