I would not use Expedia.com ever again. Some staff I spoke to in the customer service department I thought were rude and their cancellation policy is absurd. When asked about getting credit for a lower fare on the same itinerary, the representative stated there was nothing they could do. I booked a holiday with expedia to the USA from Australia had no problems with the staff on phone or e mail.
I received good service and very good price compared with other travel agencies.
I would suggest that you have a look at expedia when booking your next holiday.
It also seems that people have trouble with expedia when they have to change their travel plans - but from our experience they were fine in every way… Read Full Review

Expedia is very useful for worldwide travelers like holiday makers or backpackers because this site covers not only UK, but also some other nations such as US and Japan. Quite satisfied for the payment method. Credit cards are available. They have no tour packages in some regions. In Japan, they just deal with hotels only!

NEVER USE EXPEDIA! I have been entirely shocked not only at their incompetence, but, quite frankly, at what we believe to be outright untruthfulness on their part.

I booked tickets for travel this year at Christmas time and was very pleased by the fare. However, the tickets failed to arrive, I made several phone calls and was always told that the tickets had been sent. I booked a seat for my son and needed to change the date but it was impossible. My son called a number of times and each time he was transferred to different extensions. Many times the calls were disconnected and several times he was on hold for an hour and finally had to hang up. After trying for a week still no success. I recently Booked a flight to America via Expedia.co.uk, I found it for £350, but I made a mistake by booking it only over 1 day I'm allowed to stay there.
I emailed them 4 times explaining and all I get is an Automated message, then on the 5th time I got a personal reply saying they could not pull it back a day, so i have to pay more money or either Cancel.

Completely unhelpful and disinterested staff, they should spend some of their huge marketing budget on staff training. They should also review their cancellation policy, we were penalised, even though my partner was sent on active service to Iraq and we only wanted to move dates by a week and we informed them of this change less than 12 hours after booking!

It's easy to book online, however we decided to upgrade our tickets to business class but it was not easy. I have never had such difficulty spending more money! Hold times consistently 30 minutes or more when I called and several times the ticket agent would seem to get "cut off". Each time I spoke with an agent they either didn't know how to help me or they said they would call me back. Booked hotel reservations for my son's military graduation in June 2007 --reservations were for mid September 2007. The 10 page version with names, dates and times will be sent to Expedia management in various forms but I'm not expecting it to make a difference.
