I had a trip booked and needed to make a few changes (shorten it by 1 day) and I spend3.5 hours on the phone. I was cut off 3 different times and in the end was unable to make the changes I needed to. It was easier to just not make them. This is pretty crappy since I was trying to get home earlier. Worst booking ever. I successfully booked a hotel room only to have them send me an email the day before check in that the reservations was screwed up.

You send me an email notification for a change in my flight today,05/05/10 @ 15.00 whilst traveling tomorrow @ 1735.The email was saying:

We bought flights online for two adults and our 3months son through expedia for london to new york. confirmed email. "no need to contact". turned up at the airport and the airline said that expedia hadnt issued our sons ticket. then spent 1.5 hours on or mobile phones to them before being cut off with no answer. the only way of getting them to pick up the phone was to press the option to buy a new ticket. I booked a hotel in a town 1 hour away - it was a get-a-way weekend for myself and my husband. The day of our trip, tornados ripped through our state and immense flooding came. There was so much rain and flooding that the interstates were shut down and we could not get there. This company is amongst the worst I have dealt with. I booked a holiday with them, only to find the confirmation email had the incorrect flight deatials. I booked through Expedia b/c I thought it was a good deal. In the end is was slightly less but not sure it was worth the hassle. The itinerary that they sent us had incorrect information and I wasted time trying to get the information fixed. Expedia has terrible customer services and I've tried to use their services for business travel for an all in one solution and it has cost me close to $1000 in services that were never used. Such as hotel stays and airfare. The customer services reps explain that it's the clients fault and there will be no refunds. I have used Expedia to book flights many times (probably 10ish return flights) over the past few years and every time I have been happy with it. It is a good tool to search for the cheapest light and it often has discounts you can't find from the airlines' websites. I booked a ticket on LOT Polish Airlines, which I had to cancel the day before departure. It was then I learned that I had to pay 50% penalty. I expected a penalty, but this was pretty outrageous. The worst part was that this information was not available when I bought the ticket. Complete and utter rip-off merchants. I booked a holiday to Hong Kong at a cost of £1,742. Just 24hrs later, I decided I wanted to change the flights for this package holiday, as they would be connecting in Bangkok and Dubai, destinations with terrorist warnings in place and extremely harsh and corrupt airport immigration policies. Booked through Expedia for our February 2010 vacation. Had no problem, even when the airline merged, Expedia kept us up to date on all the flight number changes.
They responded immediately to any queries I made & found them to be very helpful.

Tried to book vacation package to Cancun and after going thru the entire process of choosing flights and hotels, at the end, it said that the flights are not available. I chose different flights and it's the same thing.
