I checked out of my motel a day early. It has taken a week and nearly 3.5 hours on hold to get a refund. I was hung up on twice. There is no excuse for this. I will never use expedia again. They contacted the motel and confirmed that I had checked out early. But since the motel manager was unavailable they refused to process a refund. I booked a flight for my daughter and friend with Expedia. Long story short. I booked them to come home on Wed. the day before she was to come home I called airline to confirm, they should her coming home on Friday. My itenerary and confirmation showed Wed. Bottom line it cost me another $1100.00+ to get flight changed to correct date I had booked and Expedia blames it on airline which is not true they had nothing to do with the booking. because of weather (blizzard conditions-airline canceled our flight) we were not able to stay at a hotel in philadelphia, pa on feb 6, 2010.
Called the hotel to let them know of our situation. Called expedia to let them know of our situation. Still having to pay for the room we are UNABLE to use. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE EVER EVER AGAIN. or travelaucity. tired of being run around and told that we must pay for things out of our control. Expedia! I needed to change 2 letters on the name of a flight I booked due to a slight spelling mistake. This cost be £30, plus a 2/3 hour phone call on a premium number. The airline told me they had no problems with the name change and that it was donw to expedia as I booked through them. Expedia made a huge thing out of it. I ended up spending 2/3 hours on a premium phone numer. There customer service and processes are terrible and would keep me on hold for 15-30mins at a time for them… Read Full Review

I booked a flight for my sister-in-law. The day she flew to my house was correct. I didn't know her return flight day was wrong until after a week. She had come as my husband had just passed away. An Expedia service rep in Canada was particularly helpful on the occasion when, having missed a flight, the airline was going to cancel our entire ticket of a multi-destination trip. i wil never book any tickets thru expedia since i had a really bad experience.... i had booked the ticket for hawaii on 2nd of dec from SFO to hawaii.... n i just wanted a change in timing of flight. cost of the flight is 50 $ 1way (1 island to another in hawaii) v had booked it for evening n we wanted it to b changed to morning. now they r asking us a fine of 150 $ per ticket.... i prefer buying a ticket of 50$ than 150$.

Had to cancel a ticket booked through Expedia, due to illness. The ticket itself was use-it-or-loose-it, which was fine. I called the airline (Brussels Airlines) who told me that yep, I wouldn't get any money back for the ticket, but they were required by law to refund the airport tax at least. Nice. However, they couldn't handle the cancellation directly, since it was booked through Expedia, so I called Expedia who refused to pas on the airport tax refund to me, thus converting it to income… Read Full Review

Cutomer Service while nice, wasn't helpfull at solving the problem.

Problem.

*I searched for a ticket, selected it, and was in the proess of booking it.
*After I entered all the information, even my creditcard, I submited to buy the ticket
*A page comes up saying the price went up from the time I entered my address to the time i pressed submit, and that my credit card wasn't charged but the price is now 330 instead of 260

I contacted expedia in july regarding changing the date of travel of our flight tickets and check that our booking was ok. The first 5 or so times that I asked for this I was told that it was not possible (even though the airline continued to tell me that it was and ask again!)

I wouldn't use Expedia for travel anymore. I booked tours in Rome with Appian Tours and ended up on a tour where you couldn't hear anything that that guide said due to faulty equipment. I had another tour with the same company scheduled in 2 days and asked Expedia to switch me to another tour company. They sent me a copy of their policy which says that they do not do changes or refunds unless requested 2 days in advance of when you leave for the trip. Never book through expedia. I booked a flight to California and received my confirmation. I even went into my itinerary on expedia a day before I was supposed to leave. When I arrived at the airport I found out that expedia had booked me on a nonexistent flight. When I called them, they were rude; never apologized for the inconvenience and never reimbursed me.
