BEWARE! I booked a hotel with Expedia two days before my trip. I booked by phone and was told the room was $269 per night. I booked the rooms. The day of the trip I went into Expedia to check out pictures of the hotel and saw that the rooms were offered at $129 per night. I called customer service and was told that room prices change all the time and there was nothing they could do. expedia really doesnt understand customer service... who are these people that answer the phone... wanted to make a small change (not refund but change) to me booking and they said of course and then said that would be $533 EXTRA .. it wasnt a change it was a rebook plus the phone line quality to them is so poor you cant even understand the information they are spewing... i will NEVER book with them again. Hi All,

Just wanted to share my extremely bad experience with that company. Firstly, their website is displaying deals which do not exist. When you book, the price rises up, then when you want to pay, they tell you that the flight is not available... Ok, you think well pity, I'll try somewhere else however, what they don't tell you is that they took your money anyway and this is when the nightmare starts...retrieving your funds. The Expedia representative had told us our resort was all-inclusive, meaning that it would include all meals and alcoholic beverages. Yes, the prices on expedia are very attractive, but when my fiance tried to complete a purchase on expedia, he ran into an error page saying there was some kind of problema and could not complete the booking. Then he found out that he got charged on the credit card with nothing booked on expedia! One star is too many for this company! Yes you can get a deal but at a bigger price if you run into a problem. Dealing with Customer Service (don't expect any) is a lost cause. I'm sorry I did not read the many warning before I booked. I find more confort in dealing with the airline direct which I already know is difficult and I don't have to be disappointed. The nice thing about Expedia is that the prices are good and booking is relatively simple. The bad news is that anything goes wrong, the company is impossible to deal with. Despite spending many thousands with Expedia, I found that trying to resolve two problems that could have been easily resolved was a nightmare - one before them was before the volcanic ash cloud imposed inevitable pressure on travel agents, and one after. This is the second time and also the last time I used Expedia. I tried to book 6 fly tickets. There is no way I could check on their website avaibility of the seats so I had to call to book. I had a trip booked and needed to make a few changes (shorten it by 1 day) and I spend3.5 hours on the phone. I was cut off 3 different times and in the end was unable to make the changes I needed to. It was easier to just not make them. This is pretty crappy since I was trying to get home earlier.
