BE CAREFUL!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!! They tell you they need your credit card just to hold the reservation, and will ONLY charge your card after you confirm your trip....BUT, once they get your credit card information, they keep billing the card for the FULL AMOUNT of the trip even after you tell them you decided not to book with them!!! I would never recommend this agency to anyone. I have had several nightmare bookings with Expedia which were never resolved. I lost my money and loads of time and I have learnt my lesson now. Never use them again.
The first involved a hotel room booking at a Hotel that did not exist !! The Ramada was taken over by a no name brand and I found out when I arrived that I was going to stay in a filthy smokers room (I thought I was getting a 4 star nonsmoking room at the Ramada Inn). I will never EVER use Expedia again. I booked tickets for Disney Resort Paris for September 2010 and only after making a payment you will receive a link to print off a voucher on which you are told that this voucher is only valid for 6 months!!! This information the customer should get before purchasing anything!! Now it is not even possible to cancel anything!!!

I will never use Expedia again. I usually book through Orbitz and, for the most part, I have a pretty smooth experience, but I decided to use Expedia because a) I thought it was pretty much the same, albeit with a poorly designed user interface, b) because I wanted to get ThankYou points (through Citibank) for the purchase.

This website pprice promise is not living up to its promise. I found another price thats way lower than their advertised price on booking.com. So, i called them up. The condition said "if price is displayed in nz dollars" So i booking.com showed the nz dollar amt. Then the customer rep said because i will ultimately not be charged in nz dollar, i can't claim it. I checked out of my motel a day early. It has taken a week and nearly 3.5 hours on hold to get a refund. I was hung up on twice. There is no excuse for this. I will never use expedia again. They contacted the motel and confirmed that I had checked out early. But since the motel manager was unavailable they refused to process a refund. I booked a flight for my daughter and friend with Expedia. Long story short. I booked them to come home on Wed. the day before she was to come home I called airline to confirm, they should her coming home on Friday. My itenerary and confirmation showed Wed. Expedia! I needed to change 2 letters on the name of a flight I booked due to a slight spelling mistake. This cost be £30, plus a 2/3 hour phone call on a premium number. The airline told me they had no problems with the name change and that it was donw to expedia as I booked through them. Expedia made a huge thing out of it. I booked a flight for my sister-in-law. The day she flew to my house was correct. I didn't know her return flight day was wrong until after a week. She had come as my husband had just passed away. Although we don't use them exclusively, we have booked flights and hotels through Expedia numerous times now and have always been satisfied with the results. An Expedia service rep in Canada was particularly helpful on the occasion when, having missed a flight, the airline was going to cancel our entire ticket of a multi-destination trip. I booked through Expedia a hotel and transfer to the airport in Barcelona from Nov. 8 - Nov. 11.
