Expedia is probably one of the most unprofessional and misleading companies I have ever worked with. Despite the fact that I paid for travel protection, I paid more in total fees for less expensive flights than my original reservation, even when factoring in the additional cost of travel protection. When I did call to make a change to my travel day (because you cannot do that online), I was told that I had a $200 penalty for each ticketed flight. Because we had multiple travelers that we were trying to coordinate on one flight and at one hotel, we needed help with our booking. The online booking process didn't allow us to configure everything the way we needed to do it. The gentleman who helped us make the reservations was nice but every single portion: flight, hotel and car each came out to be higher priced that the posted amount online. “Beware added fees on Bundled Deals! Not as good as...”

Do not book a bundled deal with British Airways on Expedia. We booked a bundled holiday, only to discover that we needed to 'confirm' seat arrangements with the airline. To reserve a seat prior to 24 hours before departure, British Airways required a 'fee' of $121 per person each way. Traveling with my daughter, I had no choice but to do this. DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA. ANYTHING. EVER. I needed to shift a night's stay up one night--still staying the same # of nights, etc. The actual hotel was fine with the change. Expedia customer rep was rude from the outset. She was banging on her keyboard before I ever even stated my request. She started her discussion with "You are breaking your contract...." “Dobule booked me and won't give me my money back”

I booked a flight from SFO to Toronto return through Expedia. They double booked me for the same flight on same day! When i received my Visa bill and saw the double charge i called and was told (after 45 minutes) that I would have to deal with the situation directly with the airline as Expedia is "just a travel agency"! My wife and I used Expedia in September 2015 for a single night hotel stay. Afterward we noticed the dates had changed to a 12 day stay a week or so after we left. Expedia took 1700.00 out of our discover card account. We cancelled the reservation and fought with Expedia for 6 months to get a refund. The time any service provider shows it's true colours is when things go wrong. When things went wrong with a hotel booking I made through Expedia they did the opposite to what might be expected of a service provider,they made it worse.
