Doesn't have colour or polyphonic ringtones, but is just the right size, has a good menu structure and above all has a radio with great reception. X-press covers make it all that bit different and everyone should try the flashing light covers! (read more)

Overall, the 8310 is has similar functions to the 3310. The 8310 has voice recoring, bumper game(pinball) & radio which is the good parts. The rest are like 3310. (read more)

Cannot read 1 message after the other without the phone crashing, once the phone comes back on, and you read your other message the lights go off, then the phone says "how are you" 'keypad locked', its a rubbish phone if you send a lot of messages like me (250 a month)I now own a Sony Ericsson T300, i will keep you informed on my progress. I use the phone as my personal phone instead of having a land line installed in my house. I am already on my second 8310 as after a good amount of usage will lead to problems with the SIM card not staying flush with the phone; therefore making it impossible to receive/make calls. I am constantly removing the battery and reseting the SIM card. For the amount of dependancy I need in a mobile phone, this has next to none. I'm switching to another next generation phone. I've owned my Nokia 8310 for almost a year now, and for the first 3 months, it was a great phone. After this short period, the snake2 game stopped working, and if I attempted to access this game, the phone restarted itself.
After this, the phone turned itself off at random times(the most frequent, and annoying, being when i was writing a text!). This bothered me but it was livable with. More and more features have stopped working since, including voice recorder, and the off button and volume... (read more)

I had an 8310 and swapped it after a year for a 3410. I have got to admit it's the worst mistake i've ever made. The saying goes that you don't know what you've got until you lose it, this most certainly is the case. The 8310 is a nice small, compact and lightweight phone that has many brilliant features. It has a calender and a to do list which were both very helpful. The display is also a bonus. Although it is small it has a brilliant blue/white backlight and the text display etc. is... (read more)

I switched back from SonyEricsson T68i to Nokia 8310. 8310 is the first mobile phone I ever owned. I read every review on every mobile set available before zeroing in to 8310. I was specially attracted by it's look; whole body changeable covers and small pocket size. I am not the kind of guy who would carry mobile covered in a protective thin plastic case. And I don't like to carry scratched gadgets. Hence, changeable cover was the first criteria in my selection. Second criteria was pocket... (read more)

I've had this phone for 1yr and it's the best i've ever had. The battery lasts for days without charging and i've dropped it loads and it's still as good as new. It's very user friendly (like all nokias) and worth it's money. I can even feel my phone vibrating at the bottom of my bag when i'm walking! It's a brilliant little phone (read more)

Problems with this phone:
Can switch off when typing messages.
Deletes messages and phone numbers on its own accord.
This phone is brilliant, although not quite as individual as it once was. Please be prepared to have this phones repaired every couple of months. I definitely recommend that you take out insurance and/or and extended warranty on this phone. This will save distress later on! (read more)

Before I got this Nokia 8310 mobile phone, I went through this site, reading basically every review on the 8310.
Even though many of them noted crashing and software problems, I still decided to try my luck.
I am so glad I did, because this phone is the greatest. Previously I had a 3210, and an 8210. I was considering moving away from Nokia, but now realise that it will take something special for Nokia to be knocked from the top.
First of all, I'll review the games:
Snowboarding - (featured... (read more)
