When it first came out the Nokia 8310 was my dream mobile phone and i was really pleased when i got one for my birthday this time last year. AT first i love it, im not knocking the fact it is a good phone but its not up to nokias usual standards:
The build quality is poor and the standard cover is like the phones u get of a market stall!
It turns off alot when sending texts; when i go to press send it turns off and the text i have just typed is deleted as a result of this i have to save all my… Read Full Review

I was writing a review on this small but powerful device some months ago, praising its many virtues, and I'm doing it again.NO software problems at all.I bought it on 31-03-2003 and it turned off only twice while listening to the radio, inmediately restarting by itself.Maybe I'm lucky or maybe version 5.80 is the best for this phone, god knows. Can anybody tell me if the nokia 6510 is worth trying after this one? I prefer its looks, and I don't like the new colour models except 6100,which sadly lacks… Read Full Review

I was first attracted to this Nokia 8310 mobile phone as it is small compared to my previous phone that looked like a brick! the phone seems very slow, the games are not very exciting either. The good feature is the fm radio, the quality of sound is excellent… Read Full Review

The Nokia 8310 mobile phone is alright but I just noticed some problems with the screen when browsing the menu. The display is not consistent, shadows of last menu or display can still be noticed when you're already on the other side of what you've just punched. Overshots the border and I find this one ugly. I have had several Nokia phones before but the screens are good and rich with clarity and contrast even the animated menus, 3310 particularly, but unlike this one. Do you think that ladies… Read Full Review

My Nokia 8310 went to nokia care at least 4 times to solve the problem of hanging, turning on and off on its own when in a call, old messages are sent many times like they get stuck in the network, therefore, drains battery cos i keep opening and deleting the same message, sometimes there's a feedback before it hangs completely and i have to turn it off and on again. phonebook is too small. in the end after the 4 times it went in for repair at nokiacare, the problems still linger… Read Full Review

The Nokia 8310 mobile phone is very easy to use, like all nokia phone it is user-friendly and menus are easy to follow.
if u like a small and un-bulky phone, then this phone will work for you. small and cute it also has a vibra alert for those discret moments u don't want people hearing your phone ringing.
one good thing about this phone is that if u have an Irda port in your PC u can change the phone's operator logo, and also u can upload ringtones… Read Full Review

when the Nokia 8310 is on it works fine. its small and light. however, the mobile phone has a mind of its own and likes to switch itself off. this has happened with both mine and my boyfriend's 8310s. coincidence? i dont think so. supposedly you can get this chip to upgrade the phone but these are brand new 8310s! explain that!… Read Full Review

Hi, i have had this phone for about 2 years (or somewhere close). The early versions of this phone had major problems! Like all nokias they boast class, but unfortunatley having payed to have it sim free, i did feel left high and dry. The shop that i bought the phone from (time2talk in swansea) didnt want to know when i returned the phone. The phone had managed to turn itself off within 21 days of purchasing it. I was the left without a phone for over a month, while it was apparently being… Read Full Review

I have had three Nokia 8310 phones, the first two had a software fault, which when I received linked (over 159 character) messages, the old ones would keep coming back.

The Nokia 8310 mobile phone's tech support probably doesn't exist when their phones are designed by so-called "fashion designers"? They never bother to respond to customers' complain even so when the phone is still under warranty. While the 8310 is monochrome LCD, their color display counterparts (at the time of writing this) are of low resolution but highly priced as well.
Talktime battery life for 8310 is marginally poor as compared to the old 6150. Other irritating things in the 8310… Read Full Review

I've had three Nokia 8310 so far, the first one I got kept crashing, as did the second one, the third one had an updated ROM, so far so good.
The silver detail on the casing will come off after a while unless yo put the phone in a case.
Also quite durable when they hit the road although best avoided of course.
The battery lasts ages. the games are so so, Snowboard is lame, pairs....lame, pinball is good although there are only two tables to chose from and snake2....been there, done that.
