I hired a car from Enterprise in Colchester England on 5th January and returned between 11:30am and 11:45am on the 16th January. I returned a call from Enterprise between 2:30pm and 3pm on the 16th regarding the payment for a cracked windscreen. This was paid and settled.During this phone call I received acknowledgement that the car was in good condition and it had been accepted back with no other problems. The hire contract ended. “Watch out for this one”

A very similar experience to the one reported a few days ago. Our Mercedes ML350 was damaged in a no fault accident and our insurance company directed us to Enterprise Crawley for a replacement vehicle whilst it was being fixed. Initially they delivered a Zafira although when we pointed out this was hardly like for like they agreed to replace it with a Toyota Landcruiser. “My money in their bank”

Enterprise took 1000 pounds from my bank card to cover a scratch damage on the front wing. Fair enough. But then it took six weeks to get them to acknowledge that they had repaired the car, this only because I called them. The local branch told me that it would take a further 6 to 8 weeks to get an invoice but the damage dept. told me I could have it same day. Never use Enterprise at Faro Airport.It is not Enterprise.It is actually a partner company called Guerin which you will only discover when you arrive at the airport. “bad customer service and charged for worn tyres”

Drove back from enterprise by treforest south Wales and the tire was flat by the time I got home. The tire was clear worn and wasn't something I had drove over. This is par for the course with this company, as I and many others like yourself have and will continue to encounter what is acceptable practice for them, from what I can figure out this is company policy to rip off customers, tell the customer it must be your fault we clean,check and maintain a high standard throughout, no they don't and they have no qualms about calling you a liar, as you say don't be mugged off with croocked practice stay well clear.

Hi I had a really bad experience today with your rental company!!! I was give a curtosy car as some one hit mine I had this car for just over a week filled the petrol back up ash even cleaned inside!!! ..... Wen I got the car first the lady walked around and checked the car! I've never had a rental in my life so all I could think was to check for standing out scratches debts etc! The lady said don't worry about the rims as I se xThere scratched she sed it's fine we don't charge for rims or tyres. I brang the care back today and she said I took a chunk out of the time and the rim scratch is fresh!!! But I thought u don't charge for rims. I couldn't have done the tyre and if I did I would hold fill liability. She then said I don't have to pay excess but I have to pay £80 by tomorrow or!!! It will go to debt collectors I told her I don't get paid untill 2weeks she said I have to find it and made me sign a paper im really unhappy with this pressure and device I want to make a major complaint in behave of brimsdown enterprise!!! And while this is going thru have my payment put on hold.

“Tried to give me a smaller van than promised”

“Poor Customer Service”

For a recent holiday in Turkey, booked an automatic 4 WD and was offered a manual car with no other option available for hours after our scheduled pickup time and date. Given that the booking was made over a month before the pick-up day, it’s hard to understand what the issue was. Also, some offices open shorter hours than more major car hire companies. Bellieve it or not, not long after I wrote that review I checked my credit card statement and the refund had been credited a couple of days earlier. I'm grateful to finally have it settled, but don't take back any of my negative feelings about how entreprise handled this and treated me.

I should not have had to pay the full excess in the first place, and I should not then have had to be so persistent to get the documents I needed for my insurance, and the money Enterprise owed me.

Well, this review certainly got a response and I now have great admiration for the customer care scheme. I have now been told that I will receive a full refund.
Wonderful and I am delighted because up till now I have always had great service from Enterprise and will certainly use again.

“Stockport Branch - Top Notch”

The Stockport branch are excellent. I hire a car from them every week, for the past 4 months. The staff are extremely helpful. Cars are delivered on time and in good clean condition. Certainly the best car rental experience I have ever had. I have been caught by a couple of sharks at Heathrow before (Green Motion was one) and was ready for yet another fight with a crooked car rental company. Rented around Christmas from their Nottingham City centre branch. Pros: 1. Efficient - even though they were quite busy when renting or returning the car, I did not have to wait much 2. Polite - the staff were very polite and friendly. Offered mince pies and chocolates at least 3 times :). 3. Good induction 4.
