I hired a van online at short notice, submitting the request at 6pm, to collect the van at 4pm the next day from Milton Keynes. On arrival at the branch I was advised the vehicle was on it's way as it had had to be collected from Spalding, and it may be delayed for 10 minutes or so. “Enterprise Car Rentals - Park Royal London - Terrible...”

“Absolute theives”

I rented a car off them for 2 days and I as go to pick up the car. Everything went smoothly but as I was getting walked around the car. It was dirty and not washed outside. So no visible dents or scratches under the bottom sills could be seen nether or less hoovered inside even. “Expensive and untrustworthy”

It's so much more expensive than they make out on the website. Ended up paying well over the odds to bring the excess down to £100 from £1000. We took the car back early because of this but left something in the car. This was at closing time. Went back as soon as they opened again the next day only but of course it wasn't there and the staff denied all knowledge. I've just rented a car from them as I've had an accident with my own
The sales guy tried so hard to push me to buy insurance, terrified me and I actually had nightmares of car getting into all sorts of situation.
I would NEVER EVER HIRE a car again, too much stress. He said for any tiniest scratch, from someone opening the door on my hired car to even a slightest scratch on tire I will be charged the full £1000 for it. My name is Shelly fajuyigbe and I'll be keeping a record of everything that happens everyday, its going to be a very stressful 7 days and only because I need the car for work and have no choice. I'm going to be living in fear of everything. Really wish there was an alternative like borrow a friends car and pay them :(

“Excessive excess hard sell”

Price seemed good on their website so I booked a car for a week. Being wary of excess fees I arranged cover through Questor and today went to pick the car up. A £200 deposit seemed a little high but not terrible and then I was shown the car. Once inside the hard sell starts. on Tuesday i phoned to ask for a refund since i didn't get a car from enterprise, and i was told that the refund was processed, i should get it in 48h, that was after a long wait while he searched for my details.

today i phoned again since i haven't seen the money in my account.... suprise !!!! they will processing it now since it was not done, last week....but the guy did apologise, hope he means it ????

“Fine, efficient”

I've used Enterprise a few times. They seem efficient. They are twice the price of Budget but then Budget cancelled on the day of the hire. The cars are in good condition and they provided a car at short notice when Budget let me down, and they provided a bigger/better car than I had booked. Cars are high spec, not base models. “Check cars with a fine tooth comb!!”

Had a Vauxhall Insignia, Direct Line arranged this while my car was being repaired. I mistakenly trusted that Enterprise checked the cars thoroughly, but I now know that you need to look over their cars with a fine tooth comb. The bottom trim between the two wheels on the passenger door was covered in mud when car dropped off, but strangely enough when they picked the car up that same area had a crack in it. “van hire”

“Hidden charges Beware. Avoid Avoid”

I had to have a hire car because someone drove in the side of our car, the insurance company supplied us with a car from Enterprise. When the car was dropped off I was asked how much my insurance excess was because if I signed the damage waiver this is what I would pay so I signed my excess being £200 ok. I returned a call from Enterprise between 2:30pm and 3pm on the 16th regarding the payment for a cracked windscreen. “Watch out for this one”

A very similar experience to the one reported a few days ago. Our Mercedes ML350 was damaged in a no fault accident and our insurance company directed us to Enterprise Crawley for a replacement vehicle whilst it was being fixed. Initially they delivered a Zafira although when we pointed out this was hardly like for like they agreed to replace it with a Toyota Landcruiser. Enterprise took 1000 pounds from my bank card to cover a scratch damage on the front wing. Fair enough. But then it took six weeks to get them to acknowledge that they had repaired the car, this only because I called them. The local branch told me that it would take a further 6 to 8 weeks to get an invoice but the damage dept. told me I could have it same day. I had exact same experience at brimsdown enterprise and now there forcing me to find £100 by tomorrow or threatening me wit debt collectors I'm taking it to legal matter now
