I was unlucky enough to have to hire two cars via Enterprise when my Chrysler had to go for repairs,under warranty, twice in 2010. The first was a C-class saloon 1.8 petrol, the second a C class saloon diesel. They were both delivered to my home address and dropped off at the dealers in Manchester. Nothing wrong with the first delivery, on time, but they had made a poor job of cleaning the car. After washing it throughly and vacuuming it, it became acceptable. Thank you for your reply I will be in touch and try to get as many details as I can but this hiring was in 2010 and I may have discarded the rental agreement by now. I am glad you are happy to help, but in view of all the adverse reviews you have been receiving I think you will agree that Enterprise need to address their shortcomings and do something about turning matters around. The second vehicle I returned to Manchester, as with all the vehicles I hire, could have been hired straight out , but this is the main point why was the vehicle not received in the same condition.

“CHECK THE WINDSCREEN!”

My new Mini develpoed a fault and had to go in for repair. No problem as mini assist sorted out a replacement car through Enterprise. When picking the car up the chap asked me to check the bodywork for scratches and dents etc. The car was a bmw 3 series and a 12 plate and in perfect condition. At no time did he mention checking windscreen! “Slammed me 750 pounds for a little scratch on side of van”

I rented a Renault van for work for rental, and in the process had a little scratch/rub on the paint work. The scratch did not cut in to the paint, but little paint was rubbed off. I took the car for assessment before return and garages around the area gave me a cost estimate of 310 pounds. Enterprise collected 750 pounds from my Card (this amount inclusive of 200 pounds deposit, and at the end sent me a bill of 875 pounds for repairs. so that means they ran off with my 750 excess. “Poor, Poor, Poor!”

No key elements to like. We were given a courtesy car following ours being stolen. The car itself was not a good substitute, just space for a car seat, but no boot. We were unable to fit a pram in the boot. It was a crappy small car which rocked from side to side at traffic lights in the wind or when another car went passed. “SCAM ARTISTS AND THIEVES”

All I can say is do not touch Enterprise with a barge pole!!! I rented a car back in Novemeber 2012 for what was 4-5 hours driving ( Kilmarnock to Warrington). We had bikes to take back and rented a people carrier. The sales assistant picked us up late and removed the parcel shelf and put the seats back so we could get bikes in. “A Nightmare Car Hire Story From ENTERPRISE - LONDON”

“Overcharged - Enterprise - A rip off !!!”

We have hired a car from Enterprise Car Hire in Munich. Upon pick up we were told that the amount to be paid was 564.53 Euros which included the rental, the zero access insurance and a deposit of 250 Euros which would be refunded upon return of the car. The car was returned on the date and time agreed with not accidents or problems what so ever. This was confirmed by the receiving officer who also confirmed that tank was full with fuel. “Absolute Cowboys - Don't Trust”

I was involved in an accident through no fault of my own. The 3rd party insurers put me in touch with Enterprise, and assured me they would supply me with a similar car to my own, hassle free. Without going into every small detail. “FALSE NOTES & LIES ABOUT THE CAR!”

I rented from Enterprise constantly for business for a Southern Atl location. My work required me to to work two hours from my rental location so, I always called over the phone and made my extensions or paid at another location closer to work. “Not very good customer service”

We hire cars all over Europe and UK on a weekly basis, have to say never a problem on the Continent but we have just had our worst service at the Dorchester branch. They were not very friendly and would not take my husbands card as I was named driver. Never had this problem with Enterprise before. “Don't trust them”

I left a 50 pound deposit when I hired a car but when I checked my statement they had not refunded it 6 weeks later. After checking they said this was a clerical error and the amount would be refunded shortly. It's very concerning when companies focus on getting payment off you but don't care to make sure they pay back your deposit. In April I had to take my family to a wedding in Birmingham, decided to rent a vehicle from enterprise who gave me cracking deal, I booked well in advance to ensure availabilty and recieved confirmation that all would be ok.. “Very disappointed will not return”

I was very disappointed with the service I recieved at Hartlepool enterprise car hire, first there was no car there for me when I arrived at the allocated time, the car that was meant to be for me was not even due to return that day so the girl on reception had to ring another staff member who was out driving the one and only car available for rental. I hired a Polo in Cork from 16.10.12 to 23.10.12. On return it was noticed that the rear bumper was cracked, as we decided not to take additional DW,(BIG MISTAKE - but we were on a tight budget) we paid the additional excess to a total of 1200 EURO. “Enterprise Car Renal = Biggest rip off”

Biggest rip-off, they charged me extra 2 days (that’s £54) because the local office was closed over the weekend and couldn't return the car even though I had finished with the car.
