Enterprise Car Rental is better than the rest! Ask for the upgrade, sometimes free if reserved vehicle is unavailable. For an extra $2/day I got a Cadillac, instead of my Cavalier! Beware, some locations are much better that others! DC, NY etc. are high volume and try, but fail, to achieve great customer service… Read Full Review

I rented a car from Enterprise at LGA in New York for the new year. Service on the spot was friendly but after you drive away, you are on your own. Needed roadside assistance once and all I had was a please call back during business hours message. Returning the car is also a pain, they offer after business hours return at a hotel nearby but it's only for your convenience and they won't stop charging until they pick up the car, they never mentioned this when telling me to return the car there… Read Full Review

No mention of massive insurance costs to avoid a 500 pound excess, until I went to collect the car, when of course it was too late for me to make other arrangements. The service at the depot was very slow. Also, no help offered when I got a flat tyre, I had to drive 80 miles at 50mph on the space saver tyre, as they do not have any sort of road side assistance. My advice is pay more and use a proper company… Read Full Review

When I returned the car I was told it had been "curbed", there was a trivial scratch on the alloy wheel. They helped themselves to the £400 excess from my credit card and pointed out this could have been avoided if I had taken out the optional insurance (which I had not been offered). They found the damaged wheel far too quickly for my liking, almost as if they knew it was there before the car was returned. I was invited to sit in the office while they inspected the car. The repair cost £65… Read Full Review

Enterprise Car rental have ABSOLUTELY no customer support. Here is my story: I rented a car from them for a weekend. The car got a flat tyre just coming out of a friends home and there was NO SPARE TYRE in the trunk. I was fortunate enough to park at a friends place. I called their roadside assistance. Since it was Sunday, most of their offices are closed, so they can't send another vehicle. There was no service center open. I asked them to tow the vehicle, and they sent somebody. I needed to… Read Full Review

I reserved a van with Enterprise car rental 3 weeks before an event. I called to verify the pick-up time a few days before the event, and they told me that they no longer had a van for me. Now it is going to be impossible to find a large rental van before the date I need it. If I wouldn't have called them to verify the pick-up time, I would not have found out until the day I went to pick it up. They apparently weren't planning on calling me.
I will never ever do business with Enterprise… Read Full Review

Both the times I have rented a car from Enterprise I was provided with "nearly new" cars. The first had run 3000 miles, and the second had clocked just 2000 miles.
The thing that really matters - the cars - are excellent. Also, the quote is very good!
Overall, excellent value for money… Read Full Review

I had rented a vehicle from Enterprise Car Rental 3 times; car from Edinburgh, Van from Manchester and car from Manchester.
I must say that all 3 experiences are very good. I was picked up for the Edinburgh rental with no problem, even though I was pretty far from the rental location. However, when I first hired a Van from the Manchester location, they "forgot" to pick me up because I was not within the pick up radius. When I called them, they did offer to pick me up straight away, but I… Read Full Review

Enterprise neglected to explain the way the deposit worked so my bank account over drafted over $100. I got the branch manager to admit that it was his staff's fault for not explaining the deposit policy then proceeded to tell me that as much as he would like to refund my overdraft charges, he couldn't because my rental was only $40. I was told on two different occassions that I would be receiving a phone call from the general manager who I still have not heard from a week and a 1/2 later. I… Read Full Review

I have rented a car with Enterprise car rental several times in the UK and North America. I have always got a good car, often with GPS navigation included at no charge, which significantly improves touring in a strange city or country. Prices were competitive, but they are more expensive at major airports than some other companies. Staff seem better trained and happier than some of their competitors… Read Full Review

I recently docked in Dundee, and within 2 hours of calling the local Enterprise car rental office I was collected from the dock in the car I hired. I reserved the class A car over the internet for the sum of £15.99 per day, and the local office handled things from there. I was driven to the Dundee office where the paperwork was completed, and I was quickly on my way. The next day I returned the car to the office and I was dropped off by Enterprise at the vessel I was set to sail on. All in… Read Full Review

After a recent accident, ** insurance company arranged Enterprise to provide my replacement vehicle while my vehicle was under repair. The vehicle I received from Enterprise was the only available from the lot and only the visible interior was vacuumed before given to me.
The first day with the car, I called about the cleanliness of the vehicle, I was only offered an wash ticket to for me to take to a car wash. After two days with the vehicle and enduring an increasing strong oder from the… Read Full Review

I have usually had good experiences with Enterprise Car Rental in the past, all over the US in general, and at this location on Mt Moriah, Memphis TN, in particular. However my current experience was very bad. I booked on the phone for a full-size rental, and was given a conf. number. As I went in to get my car at the specified date/time, and spoke to a young woman on the counter, credit card and driver's license in my hand, I was told that I didn't have a reservation. When I gave them my… Read Full Review

BACKGROUND OF SITUATION
My Aunt and I were in England on Holiday. We rented a Sedan from Enterprise Car Rental for a week to drive around the Cornish countryside. The lanes are very narrow and being from America it is a little intimidating to drive on the left-side of the road. Saying that, I have permission in the UK to drive as I have a UK license. I lived in London for 4 years and owned a vehicle so their remarks to me about being American and that being the problem weren't fair.
MAJOR… Read Full Review
