    I've used Hertz several times in different countires and they supply one of the most inconsistent services of any rental company.     I recently hired a car from Hertz Edinburgh Airport in June 2009 On returning the vehicle at 7.15am the Hertz kiosk was open but unmanned so I had no option but to leave the keys in the key drop. As far as I was concerned no damage had occurred to the car.

    I booked a car in advance declining the additional insurance from Hertz. When arrived at the airport late at night and after 15 minutes wait in the queu we were told asked to sign an agreement and given the key.
