“Grand Plaza serviced apartments”

We we're informed on arrival that our room had been upgraded to a larger apartment which proved to be in the basement and opposite the plant room. It was quite noisy at night with street noise. “Ruined holiday due to Late Rooms incompetence.”

I booked a weekend away with Late Rooms a full 12 months in advance in order to visit the Midland Game Fair near Telford on Friday, September 14 and Saturday September 15. The booking was amended over the 12 months period and 'e mails' sent back and forth. When our party arrived at the hotel no bookings had been made by Late Rooms for any of the 4 rooms required and no hotels available anywhere around for 50 miles. It's such a shame that your trip was ruined so spectacularly. Unfortunately Laterooms are a brooker and don't manage hotels or their rooms. I know this from working at a 4* hotel in the Lake district that was run by an incompetent owner who was constantly double booked and blamed laterooms as a scapegoat for said incompetence. We also now use them for our guest house for out of season bookings. Your best port of call is with the hotel, they should be reinbursing you for their mistake. They receive full booking details at the point that you made the booking by both email and fax. At this stage they should update their own booking systems, if not....

Trip advisor is something that you should mention in your dealings with the hotel. Always check with hotels (by email if poss) that your room is confirmed - even if you already have a booking reference number. So many businesses are using booking sites/brokers that they lose track of what's been booked. Once you get an email back from them they can't use an external agency as an excuse for their own inadequacies. Hope that helps!

“Error message during booking”

I tried to book a hotel room through Laterooms. When I tried to complete and finalize my reservation I received an error message. I entered my information again and tried to book and received another error message. I believed there was a problem with the Laterooms website and gave up and booked at another site. I now have a charge card bill for two rooms booked through Laterooms. I never received any confirmation on this booking only the error message. I had no idea that I had booked two… Read Full Review

On 07/09/12 I booked 2 nights at the Raddison Blu through Laterooms.com, it was a late booking and our arrival was that evening. Completed the screen on Laterooms Name, address credit card details etc, and was presented with another screen explaining 'Your Booking Was Successful'. my family and i have just spent three nights at Wildercombe House in illfracombe . I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. i cannot praise this place enough. “4 star hotel turns out to be a B&B needing TLC - Claremont”

So we booked for a holiday in Bournemouth. After extensive search my wife found a 4 star hotel named Claremont Hotel in Bournemout for 85 GBP a night for 2 adults and a toddler. When our satnav stopped our car in fron of this "hotel" it turned out to be a just a 2 floor building and a bit dated back in time. We were hoping for the best, the owner greeted us at the reception. Shocking Customer Service and be VERY VERY WARY of which deal you choose with this Company. If you make a mistake they do not listen and neither do the hotel Managers who will take your Money. I pressed confirm without double checking my details and have been charged £85 for an unrefundable room which they will not refund and I cannot attend. Booked a hotel for a 2 night stay in London through laterooms. Just before we were about to set off got a call saying the hotel we had booked (through them) was full and had declined the reservation (laterooms had already CONFIRMED everything). We booked a hotel via late rooms, even though their policy is book now pay later was charged by the hotel on our credit card at the time of booking. I did not book with laterooms because of this but it was the only site that had rooms available in this location. Most of our other bookings are with agoda who are fantastic. An excellent self catering haven just minutes from main town centre and with spotlessly clean modern facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful which is where it ends. We stayed 20th to 23rd April 'out of season'. Hotel rating was 3 star should be 2 star. a throw back from the sixties. The accommodation was easy to find. “FLEXISTAY IN TOOTING”

I try to be fair in my reviews and give the good and bad points equal time. However I need to make an exception and focus first on one of the worst things about this hotel -- they have a BAD problem with mice. We made a reservation, received confirmation, email, etc. I was lucky to call the hotel to confirm check-in time. They said there is absolutely no availability for tomorrow, even after I gave them my reservation number. I am so mad, I will go to all the sites that gather laterooms.com reviews.
