“Very dated”

Written on: 25/08/2012

We were all super excited about going to legoland, especially my daughter who is mad on Lego but we were all very disappointed with it. It all looks really shabby and dirty. There were hardly any rides compared to other parks we've been too that cost loads less. what rides there were you had to wait nearly an hour for most of them. It was very expensive to get in and the food was too. We wouldn't go back :(… Read Full Review

“Organisation disgusting”

Written on: 20/08/2012

Having spent 3 nights in the Legoland Hotel in mid August 2012 with 2 grandchildren we found that the rooms were excellent and the night entertainmant for the kids was great. However the organisation at Legoland was a shamlbles. Young members of staff had been taught to do "HIGH FIVES" How to say "HIGH GUYS" and "HAVE A NICE DAY" When it came to organisation things went badly wrong. The passes issued to enter and leave the park were sheets of paper which contained a bar code and which became… Read Full Review

“Planning & Preparation = Great time!!!”

Written on: 07/08/2012 by Adina31 (1 review written)

We were there yesterday and for my 5 year old son this was a much longed for visit. We only went for the day but I tell you, after reading 100+ reviews (85% negative) and planning the day with military precision it went off almost perfectly! Cleanliness I have to agree with the majority about how dated and tired the Lego displays throughout the park looked. They definitely need updating as colours are fading etc...but even a good jetwash could bring most of them them up sparkling. There are… Read Full Review

“Rip Off”

Written on: 01/08/2012 by rich5224 (1 review written)

Very expensive for what is a small theme park with lengthy queues. Paultons is cheaper, better rides, very small queues. It is also somewhere dads will enjoy going. Legoland isn't for young children, and is boring for older kids. £2 for parking after £45 entry is disgusting too… Read Full Review

“Most expensive queue you will ever stand in”

Written on: 25/07/2012

Tired, dated and poor value for money. The rides are old and dated. Queues are usually 45-60 minutes long on a school holiday and you will probably do 5 or 6 rides in a day. Queue jumping allowed at £70 per go. Park food is poor quality and very expensive. Probably the worst theme park I have ever visited… Read Full Review

“Amazing for children”

Written on: 18/07/2012 by gussvand (10 reviews written)

I've been to Pepper Pig World (new forest), Thomas the Tank land (drayton) etc, but Legoland is by far and away the best theme park for children in the UK. There are lots rides for all ages of children and the quality and first of every thing is first class. We tend to go before the school holidays (the week before) and therefore rarely have any problems with queues. The food inside is pricy, but that is always the case with captive audiences. Overall it is a great day out for anyone with young… Read Full Review

“great place to go”

Written on: 02/07/2012 by madcat (36 reviews written)

We booked this for our sons birthday, we had a lovely time. The staff are amaizing, they just set a high standard for customer service. I dont understand all the moaning about Lego land being pricey. They are currently doing buy one day get one free! you can buy a reusable drink cup for £6 and refill throughout the park all day, we shared the one between 3 of us. Above the Star Wars miniland is a discounted lego store, and having a son who is lego mad we are quite savvy on the prices and there… Read Full Review

“Over priced hype”

Written on: 10/06/2012

My family and I visited Lego land today, personally I found it disappointing & seriously over-priced even though we used our Tesco vouchers on entry. The outdoor Lego Models need sprucing up, all very tired and dull looking. The newer pieces looked much more eye catching. Many of them had broken, toppled over. It appears attention to detail is being missed without a doubt. Even on entry everything including the sign looked tired/dirty and neglected. Designing and spending money on canopy's… Read Full Review

“Good trip, but less successful when wet!”

Written on: 08/06/2012 by Lulu100 (1 review written)

Great for young children, even if it is a bit tiring pushing the pram around the park. Not good in the wet though. Unforunately yesterday it was extremely wet. Not only is there a lack of indoor rides - ok, not much they can do about this - but actually there is a lack of "covered" areas for those of us braving the elements and wanting our picnic lunch or simply a hot cup of tea without having to be soaked in the process. Also, restaurants need to be left open longer. Rides shut at 6pm but… Read Full Review

“RIP OFF”

Written on: 05/06/2012

The cost was high at £42.50/adult and on top of that we were made to pay for car parking. Refreshments in the park were very expensive aso. It was raining on one of the 2 days we attended and on the first day when it was not raining rain macs were £2 and on the day it was raining they went up to £3.50! Lots of steep hills to walk up so no good for those that dont likehilly walks, young children tire quickly also. We had a new baby who needed a breast feed and we were turned away from the… Read Full Review

“Legoland really sucks”

Written on: 25/05/2012 by Kinslayer (1 review written)

Legoland Windsor was a once in a lifetime day out, because I would not want to visit this plastic hell twice. Rip off food prices, lame rides, smokers treated like lepers, staff that all seem to have fallen out of the simple tree. Bring back the safari park we had before this pile of plastic rubbish took over. We had free tickets which saved me from screaming for a refund… Read Full Review

Garethrednell's Response to Kinslayer's Review

Written on: 09/08/2012

Er - smokers treated like lepers???!

You're allowed to smoke in Legoland - you just can't inflict your drug addiction on those of us that don't want to breathe in poison. That's why there is a designated area, where you smokers can all go to inhale the 4000 carcinogenic chemicals contained in a cigarette.

There are over 4,000 chemicals in cigarettes. 51 of them are known to be carcinogenic. A carcinogen is something that causes cancer. Cancer is a disease that often kills those who have it. There are many types of cancer: breast, lung, larynx, stomach, prostrate, kidney, leukemia (cancer of the blood), etc. In all kinds of cancer, the cells keep dividing and forming new, abnormal cells. These cells are not normal or healthy.

Our bodies are made up of thousands of cells. In a healthy person, new cells are made only when the body needs them. In a person with cancer, the abnormal cells destroy the normal cells, invading them like an army. If cells divide when new cells are not needed, a growth or hard mass forms. It could be small like a pea or large like a grapefruit. A cancerous growth is called a malignant tumor.

Cancer usually kills a person when it spreads to other parts of the body. Sometimes cancer cells break away from a malignant tumor and find their way into the bloodstream. They travel to another part of the body or organ like a kidney or lung. There they start multiplying and dividing and form new cancerous tumors. For example, if a woman who has a malignant tumor in her breast does not have it removed while it is small, part of the tumor might break away and go into her bloodstream. From there it may travel to her brain and give her brain cancer.

Chemicals in cigarettes and cigarette smoke are known to cause not only cancer but also other serious health problems. Many of the chemicals are poisonous. If a person ate one pack of cigarettes, he/she would die.

Legoland is a theme park, for CHILDREN - they shouldn't have to risk their health because a drug addict, hooked on nicotine cannot resist lighting up.

“Pay more to jump the queues if you are that selfish.”

Written on: 23/05/2012

I found the whole thing horribly commercial. The fact that you can pay more money and jump the queues is entirely offensive. There are three different payment levels for pushing in, from 15 quid to 70 quid. I went on a quiet day and it didn't really make much difference but I can imagine you would end up hating people who just strolled up and got on a ride that you had been waiting for 30 minutes for. Twisted !… Read Full Review

“Start queuing now, you might get on a ride by July.”

Written on: 11/04/2012 by Rach79 (1 review written)

Legoland Windsor - This park has the potential to be a great day out, especially for younger kiddies as the rides aren't too extreme and the lego models are ace. Unfortunately, as with a lot of theme parks in our country, you pay an absolute fortune to get in only to queue for an hour for each ride, which do not last more than about 3 minutes. In order to maximise their profit, they drastically overfill the park so it is impossible to have any real fun. Such a shame as the rides there are… Read Full Review

“Poor value for money and kids bored”

“Enjoyable ”

Written on: 28/10/2011 by Catfan1999 (1 review written)

We really enjoyed Legoland but lots of the rides are water based and you can get very wet. If you do go on a ride and get wet DON`T use the `Family dryers` that cost £2 because they don't help at all! The best rides are:: *The Dragons Lair (Roller Coaster) *Pirate Falls (Log Flume) (Water) *Driving School *Atlantis (Submarine) Overall we think it is a very good value for money but we had a Q-Bot which really helps! Thanks to the Q-Bot we managed about 15-20 Rides! … Read Full Review
