Please take my advice and take your vehicle to another garage, I was fooled into thinking that the ATS centre in Wash Road in Hutton would offer a reliable, honest, friendly service, but was very much mistaken. I took my vehicle in for the tracking to be checked and was handed back the keys and told my vehicle had been left by the side of the road, a small distance from the centre, after the mechanic had burnt out the strater motor and turned off the ignition. “TRIED TO RIP ME OFF AVOID!!!!!!”

My wife took our car to Clacton ATS to have brakes checked was told need front disc's and pads quoted £116 when she went to pay they would not give her bill just told her it was £200 she told them this was wrong but they would not listen. “ATS battery check, liars and cheats.”

As my transit van was having trouble starting on a morning I took it to ATS Euromaster in Cleckheaton for a free battery check, They showed me the print out which said 75% start up capacity and battery unserviceable and told me this meant the battery was no good and they could sell me another for over £100, I then told them the battery had been bought from them less than two years ago and had a three year warranty, this seemed to throw them and they then told me they did not have the correct… Read Full Review

I think I'll take you up on that, since I took my car in for an oil and filter change yesterday and was then quoted £75 for replacement of a battery that doesn't need replacing and £233 to replace a spring that they claim is faulty (I'll be getting my regular mechanic's opinion on that one), when I can get the original equipment one for £70.

I didn't ask for a battery check, as it's only a year old, is well within the warranty period and I have never once had any trouble with it. I didn't ask for any checks on the suspension either.

Are these guys on commission for drumming up any extra work they can get from the customer?

Unfortunately they do and they back the staff that breach H&S and don't put monies through the till. I am taking them to court tomorrow for negligence and nearly costing my life! Wish me luck

I have complained to ATS head office and they just ignored my complaint. Not even a reply (to my complaint or the 2 chasers I sent). Just how many "wrong depots" are there?

After writing a letter and sending it to their head office by recorded delivery, I did finally get a response (by email). They didn't provide a satisfactory answer to the points I'd raised but did offer to make a reasonable refund for some of the work done, which I accepted. I also took the matter up with my credit card company and raised the matter with Citizens Advice, who in turn said that they would refer the matter to Trading Standards. So... persistence does pay, sometimes!

I have a fleet car and I am obliged to source tyres from this company. First visit to their branch in East Grinstead and I walked out because of the appalling attitude of the fellow that was "serving" me. Onto Crawley who had a better attitude but fitted the wrong size tyres. When this was discovered by Kwik Fit at the time they fitted new brakes, ATS denied all knowledge! having a new Cat fitted the fitter told me the job would take at least two hours and expected me to leve him to it however I came back and found my car on the ramp and him doing asolutely nothing...for at least half an hour when he became aware I was present. I had the same thing with 'happysometimes' this year at ATS. They charge extra 4 Pounds for N2 inflation which I first consider tips. The comprehensive service with MOT charge 189 Pounds. However, they only change oil filter, air filter and engine oil in such expensive comprehensive service and did not do other check. The worst thing is that after spending another 250 Pounds with them to replace alternator today, the car can not be started. They told me it a flat battery. Even the original battery is not broken. they ask me to change a new battery. After finding another more reasonable garage to charge my battery, I decide to move the car away. However, after they jumpstarted my car, and I drove away i found my battery warning light is still on and even worse, there is horrible thick gas coming from the tail pipe, which never happens to my Ford Focus. I did not know what they did to my car!!!! I begin with a drivable Ford, and after spending over 400 pounds at ATS and got a broken car! Most horrible experience in my life at Cambridge ATS!

I used this garage on recomendation from a friend, and I wasn't disappointed, from the moment I stepped in the garage I was welcomed with a friendly smile from the manager, and been a women I felt at ease (which you dont feel at most garages). Arrived without an appointment, was greeted by the Manager who was very curteous. Vehicle was checked immediately and the mechanic reported that a nail had gone through the side wall of the tyre and needed replacing. “Rude manager, disgusting customer service”

I had the misfortune of trying to get assistance from ATS in Poole. The manager Brian Fooks is a miserable, unhelpful man in the wrong position as apparent 'manager' at this store. Apparently, the store closes at 5.30pm but God forbid you should arrive at 5.05pm as this does not leave Brian and his team any time to assist you before he gets himself to the pub. Recently visited clacton branch for a air con regas at £44.99 when I went to pay was told £48.97 was told vat as to be added so ok when I got home checked the paper work noticed that the vat was included in the £44.99 but had been charged for nitrogen inflation at £3.98 which I never asked for but also when checking the booklet I was given it says nitrogen inflation(this is put in your tyres) 50p per tyre so was overcharged there so please people always check your bill before leaving also… Read Full Review

“Vehicle Vibration after new tired fitted 3 months ago!”

“Not an expert checked" I have been to my ATS at Wembley, London on Preston Road on last Thursday just three days ago! As my front and left start vibrating and become worse gradually. “Deliberate damage to tyre to sell new tyre”

Hmmm, well I noticed i had got a puncture when parking at london zoo so I inflated the tyre noted the pressure and spent 5 hours at the zoo with the family. When I came out I checked the pressure the tyre had lost 5 psi in 5 hours. I put another 5 psi in and drive home to Hampton, checked the pressure when I returned and found I had lost no pressure with the tyres still warm. In other words a very slow puncture. That time of the year again... the dreaded MOT, so I went back to Redditch once more having been impressed last year when I told them I needed new tyres and then they told me I did not! Well, guess what? MOT passed - great news for me. I spent £250:00 on my BMW 320D for the complete reaer brake disc, drum, pads and shoes. it is worse now than before I had them done! The Manager in DORCHESTER DORSTE ATS EUROMASTER lied to me on many occasions. This company is an absolute shambles. Don't be fooled by the relatively courteous call centre and customer services staff who appear to give false reassurances on promises that NEVER materialise.
