“Incompetent rip off merchants”

I originally booked a wheel alignment, was naturally told it can't be done unless I bought two new tyres. I was then quoted an outrageous price for the tyres so I decided not to go ahead. Was then offered the manager's discount, a whopping £110 off. In other words they tried to screw me before offering me the fair market price. “Rip-off merchants.”

Asked for two new tyres, & got invoiced extra for nitrogen inflation & a 'master service', neither of which I requested or wanted. In short, they'll try to screw as much money out of you as they can whilst hoping you don't notice. If you don't know about cars, avoid at all costs. “Wrong disc's”

I've been done over!!!! My local branch of ATS quoted me for a fan belt and new discs £267.00. No excuses but I am a woman and the car belongs to my son so I just assumed that ATS were quoting me the fairest price. Well they weren't. Anyway I said to carry on (not knowing anything different) so the job was done. “bad practice in stockport”

i went in to ats stockport who id used many times before for a puncture at begining of December I spoke to manager who said i would have to wait about 30-45 minuites to be seen to i said id call back in half an hour i was told it was a first come first serve basis so if i came back i would be back to end of queue so i said I would wait and went outside for a cigarette while there i watched manager who only appeared to sit playing on his mobile phone for 15mins so I decided to leave and went to… Read Full Review

i had the similar experience with this manager so i know how u feel so i took my car some were else were i have 4 tyers and a service done and i will NOT be going back there to have any work done on any of my cars

Stay well clear of this place, had a service done by them and was told it would be ready for 4.30pm. I arrived at 4.45pm to find them towing my car up and down the road. “puncture repair ripoff”

Simple job to fix a puncture but they tried to sell me two new tires despite the excellent condition of them. Told them just wanted a repair but they wernt interested. Changed the tyre ok, but found them to be rude. Had a call from a chap who was obviously new and was getting instructions from his boss, as he told me the ALLOY was not repairable. WHAT, i thought, how could I have damaged the alloy. " I meant the punture" ... he said. Had MOT done for my Peugeot 107 knowing I only neede one tyre replacing to pass test, they called me and said we recommend you replace all tyres, I asked how much they said we can only get branded tyre at ££87 each. I said you recommend but how many needs changing to pass test? Answer ONE. “Wheel bearing redone twice in less than a month....”

I wish I read all these reviews before ever driving into the cambridge branch. First bmw cambridge diagnosed my car with both rear wheel bearing which needed replacement and it was a fault I could notice as well while driving. Took it to ATS and I was told only driver side rear wheel bearing needed changing. Agreed to that even though I was pretty sure both needed replacement. “How long does it take to fit a battery?”

I took my car into ATS Cambridge at 10.30 this morning with a flat battery. This had been identified at a service the day before but was left so I could get the repair under guarantee. After 2 hours of dealing with useless Hyundai dealerships I took my car to ATS as I had used them many times before always with good results and thought this would be the easiest way to get my car running quickly and at a reasonable price. “Deceptive practice?”

Deceptive practice, unnecessary part replacement diagnosed. Exhaust simply required a clamp and not a new cat convertor and lambda sensor as suggested. In fact repair was so minor it was effected free of charge and in under five minutes by another garage- ATS wanted £235 for a cat and £118 for sensor! Incompetence?- this kind of false description of goods and services is a criminal offence; I will be contacting Trading Standards with a view to them inspecting this matter on my behalf… Read Full Review

I have to say I've read the comments on here and am very surprised! Unfortunately, I believe EVERY negative comment. I honestly believe that it depends on where you live and which ATS you are using in that area. I can't fault ATS in Cheylesmore, Coventry. I have visited a number of times and after being quoted over £100 for blocked windscreen wiper tubes by BMW, I went along to ATS and they got some sort of pressure machine on it and presto, unclogged pipes free of charge. Also when you get the nitro air once and pay the first visit, it's free every other visit...well it is at the ATS I use. I would also like to add that I have nothing whatsoever to do with ATS and am just a customer and a satisfied one at that.

“Stay away from here!”

We recently had a front tyre which kept losing pressure so called at the ATS centre at Westhoughton, Bolton. The fitter came out promptly and removed the wheel from the car and found a nail in the tread, this was in the end 'block' of tread pattern and he immediately said the tyre was unrepairable as it was too close to the sidewall, he went into the office and came back with a price of £159.95 for replacement - this tyre had covered less than 3k miles, he had removed the nail so the tyre was… Read Full Review

“Hornchurch Branch: Astonishingly Incompetent and Negligent”

I joined this forum to warn others of what was surely the worst customer service experience of my life. It happened at the Hornchurch branch of ATS Euromaster. Last Wednesday I decided to pop my Ford Galaxy in for an Air conditioning re-gas (£45). Two hours later, I received a phone call to say they could not re-fill the system, it was producing some smoke though they were not sure certain why.
