Overall we did not have a good flight with Aer Lingus. We booked to go from Heathrow to Washington via Dublin as this was the deal we got with Lastminute.com. Never again. Started with a ridiculous scenario at Heathrow where we were informed that after flying from Heathrow to Dublin, we could not get, at Heathrow, our boarding passes for our Washington flight. We then had the absolutely ridiculous situation of having to come out through baggage claim and customs to then queue up again to get… Read Full Review

Fly with someone else, I have taken only 2 flights with Aer Lingus both of these where 2 hours late, 100% dissatisfaction. In future I will go Ryanair, they are cheaper and usually on time in my experience… Read Full Review

The ticketing agents at Shannon need to be retrained. I had a reservation for a 7am flight from Shannon to Dublin, which I needed to pay for before checking in. I got on the reservation line at 5:45. A blue-jacketed man, I believe air crew, cut the line about 5 minutes later, right in front of my wife and myself, without any reason nor any remorse/guilt. We were the only people on line, we could have been there for an hour but he decided to walk right up to the desk, although it was not… Read Full Review

As shown before my major disappointment with Aer Lingus is their stubborn refusal to increase the number of destinations from Shannon. It is a long time belief here that when the open skies policy comes in that the airline will not hesitate to pull out of Shannon.
I am all for supporting my own but that has to go both ways. Aer Lingus has to support the whole of the country and not just Dublin and Cork. Dublin especially.
Until this happens I have no hesitation in using alternative airlines… Read Full Review

Aer Lingus management still won't service Canada, so we are forced to travel from Toronto via the UK or Amsterdam. For many Canadians, the Aer Lingus service via the USA is not an option due to US Immigration.
Canadian visitors to Ireland are never documented as such when they fly via the UK. Therefore the real number is much higher than reported.
Travellers from Canada to Ireland are generally not through ticketed and as such are not counted. In fact Canadian visitors actually help to… Read Full Review

I flew from Dublin to New York, JFK on the morning of 16th March 2007. I'm a very nervous flyer so flying with Aer Lingus was great. I cried before I got on the plane and the lady at the desk, just before I got on the plane, was very nice and asked if I wanted to wait until the rest of the people got on the plane. Took off on time, the food came along about 30 minutes or so into the plane journey, it was lovely, just what I needed. I was given two free drinks because one of the Air Hostesses… Read Full Review

I flew Aer Lingus from Heathrow to Dublin and Dublin to Chicago during the busy period of Christmas 05. I arrived very early and was assisted through the electronic check in which was very straight forward. Disappointed not to have this facility at Chicago on my return. All flights were full, but left the gate on time on every leg, and arrived early on both long haul trips. Minor issue with in flight service on the return trip, as the staff served the tea and coffee so soon after the food… Read Full Review

It was ok overall the stewardesses on Aer Lingus weren't very friendly but the food was good and they actually heat up the roll unlike some other airlines. The flight has almost always been on time when I have travelled with this airline and it would be a pleasure to fly with them again… Read Full Review

This was the Glasgow-Dublin-Boston Aer Lingus flight on 5/4/2005. The first leg 8am from Glasgow ran like clock work and arrived in Dublin on time (no food mind you). Strange at Dublin you need to go through arrivals - out and back in through passport control and security again, which I thought was a bit of a bother especially with two kids.
How drab is Dublin airport as well!
After a big Dublin breakfast in one of the cafes on the mezzanine floor (not worth the money) we waited for 3 hours… Read Full Review

The transformation to low fare airline has been handled quite well. But fares will have to fall further to compensate for the loss of the TAB frequent flyer system.
Almost always on time. Usually fly the Dublin -London route, but have also flown to Amsterdam and Frankfurt - Very good and friendly service… Read Full Review

Constantly late with poor customer service especially on flights to Cork. I have flown the Heathrow - Cork route several times with them recently and the flight was delayed each time and cancelled one time. While alternative arrangements were made the staff were rude and unhelpful. When flying from Dublin to Cork I also had my flight cancelled recently and instead had a 4 hour bus journey. What was once a fantastic airline for customer service and reliability is now a national disgrace… Read Full Review
