Flight got cancelled and still no money back from this "airline" (4 weeks waiting time without even a short answert). That's not by accident, that the "Customer Care-Center" hasn't got a telephone number or E-Mail given on their website. You better pray that your flight experiences no problems... Strictly a NOT RECOMMENDED AIRLINE!

I wouldn't know what it is like to fly with AerLingus because our flight was cancelled and changed which was not suitable for a connection.
Have been promised a refund but after 8wks of waiting NO replies to emails or phone calls and NO REFUND. You tell me is this a rip off or what. This was not the ony AerLingus flights cancelled by them during our trip… Read Full Review

Terrible airline! I was really unhappy because they gave us options of a refund or a later flight when my flight was cancelled, however, i was meant to attend a very important function, and so asked if i could fly with an alternative airline, however, they said this was not an option.
I later found out that on their website, they are meant to give you an option of this (Outlined in Article 9.2, Cancellation, rerouting, delays etc.) and i was outraged!… Read Full Review

Very disappointed in their customer service. It was a total shambles boarding and I had a jacket dropped on the plane and found by the flight crew. They made a cursory effort to locate the owner before deciding to take it off the plane in Dublin. I didn't discover it was lost until arriving in London. After talking to the air crew in London I was told the jacket was in dublin and they would send over on the next flight. Since then no jacket and no-one knows a thing. After calling Customer… Read Full Review

Ive traveled with Aer Lingus for many years and always found the attendants to be friendly and helpful.I think if you got an attitude with these people its because you likely brought one with you. I remember in 2005 I was taken ill on the plane and kept quiet about it .Upon landing I could barely navigate on my own much less attend my luggage. These lovely ladies took over and helped me from the plane and attended to every detail.I got the same concern at customs and a friendly cup of tea and a… Read Full Review

Despite paying over $8,000 for 3 Business Class tickets from Glasgow to Boston the flight was the most stressful experience I have ever had travelling. It is now the end of my 2nd day in Boston and I still have no luggage and Aer Lingus Customer Services have still not returned my call. I have spent the evening in my hotel room alone waiting for a bag to be delivered while my husband and daughter have gone to the basketball without me. I know the bag is not coming. I was in Boston 3 weeks ago… Read Full Review

BHX-Dublin-Orlando-Dublin-BHX. Very impressed with quick check-in at BHX, short flight to Dublin left on time and arrived early. Pleasant airport to hang around in while waiting for connection. Again, very impressed with flight to Orlando, food quality and quantity was very good as was the seat-back inflight entertainment - our 2 children were kept very happy! Arrived 40 minutes early even after re-route to avoid a storm. Return journey the same, food not quite as good, but still very… Read Full Review

I wrote a review last night 2nd September 2010 and it seems to have disappeared. It was unfavourable.
I have been unable to book the latest offers - prices come in much higher
e.g. am being charged taxes and charges when your add say that they are included. Does this come in under false/misleading advertising? Ad not transparent if there is only a few available at advertised price. Aerlingus Please explain. Since I didnt get on this flight - my ratings shown above are based on other recent… Read Full Review

One of the worst airlines ever and very rude customer service. To get to the customer service it will take 45 minutes. If you are traveling in economy you are screwed, you have no options to get your returns. If you plan to change your ticket you will be charged 95 GBP / ticket.
Also another stupidity is, you have to pay for changings your seats in the place you like, I'm not sure why do they charge for the tickets then.
After all this for this airline, if you look at the flight service it… Read Full Review

Had to fly economy as this was only option available on what was considered a short haul flight, even though we were traveling from the United States in/out of Dublin. Had to pay excess luggage fees that cost more than our tickets as well as more than four nights at a five star hotel! I thought only EasyJet and Ryannair played this sort of scam. Note to U.S. Based travelers flying to Europe: Do Not Fly Aer Lingus! Where I able to, I would give ZERO stars… Read Full Review

The flight was very uncomfortable due to the extreme low temperature-It was FREEZING.

Not Bad. While the seats were a bit small, I'm a tall guy so I understand - being stuck between two big guys didn't help. However, service was wonderful as all the FA's were pleasant and good-humored. The in-flight entertainment was good and there were a large number of options, though the pilot seemed to love interrupting with inane babble. The food was passable, but decent by airline standards. While the flight wasn't great, the service was truly outstanding and these days that counts… Read Full Review

We sat on AE Flight 105, Sunday, June 20th for over FIVE (5) hours at the Dublin airport. We were offered, during that entire time, ONE (1) glass of water. That was it. There were babies, young children and elderly on this flight. Madee no difference. We were then towed to another gate and told to get off and wait. As we were deplaning, they gave us a voucher for 5 euros. This was all they gave us. We were led into a very small wing of the airport and were not able to leave. The only… Read Full Review

Last April I went to San Francisco with them for 333 Euro each way including taxes and charges!! The flight was bang on time, airport was good as usual and the aircraft was a lovely A330. It was good Friday and it was full but everyone calm and enjoying the flight. Nice takeoff, funny safety video and their new TV's in front of you are great. Halfway through, everyone pulled down their windows to have a rest, comfortable seats and balnkets, and after a 10 hour flight, you would almost not want… Read Full Review

I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism of crew members on board a flight from Heathrow to Cork. They discussed their personal lives with one another whilst wheeling the trolleys up & down the isle. When interacting with the passengers there was a definite tone of superiority, snootieness even, that was embarrassing to hear. Sitting opposite me was a man dressed in a business suit and it was remarkable the difference in their tone when addressing him.
On arrival in Cork, the… Read Full Review

500 euro charge for 2nd piece of checked luggage. That's what we were told at check in. Since we were leaving from Romania the second piece of luggage would cost 500 euro. Is this not crazy? We watched a family next to us have to leave five pieces of luggage. We were on a transatlantic flight and on our next flight were allowed two pieces of checked baggage free. But to get that privilege we would have to first be robbed by Aer Lingus of a charge for an extra bag and then 12 euro per… Read Full Review

Aer Lingus is a terrible airline. It was the worst flying experience I have ever had. The flight was delayed and we were given no information what so ever apart from "it's delayed". I usually fly Ryanair (by far my favourite airline) and they do actually fly from Birmingham to Dublin but I flew Aer Lingus becuase My Aunt told me she really likes them. Well I think the complete oppisite. It was terrible. The customer service is horrific and the cabin crew were'nt very helpful, the condition of… Read Full Review

Following trip to Ireland to visit ill parent, flew Dublin to London with onward flight to Perth, Australia. Aer Lingus refused to book luggage through to Australia although I have never had problems previously with either Aer Lingus or other carriers. As my onward flight from London was business class, I had baggage weight of 26kg so, naturally, Aer Lingus charged me 6kg excess PLUS charged 18Euro for my bag. As Aer Lingus staff get a percentage of excess baggage collected, I was not very… Read Full Review
