Account managers at Capital One fraud department cannot empathize with customer problems and are bound by "policy" so they cannot even hear what you are saying.

I have had my account with them for over 5 years. During the entire time, I was only 30 days late once (about 3 years ago) due to an oversight. Recently my APR was increased to about 20%. I spoke with 3 supervisors, and I was told it was increased for all customers due to "economic conditions". ...

Initially they told me that I had 0% APR for one year, but they charged me for finance charges.

Double check everything if you decide to have a Capital One Platinum credit card.

I purchased an item by phone, and had it sent to my husband's business address. Cap One reps twice refused to verify the shipping address, even though it was on file. I called Capital One three times, and three times I was given different theories on their policy:

I am a Capital One customer, and I have a credit card. Before giving me the card, I had been told that the APR was 5%. Now, with my monthly bill, they have charged 20% APR. They don't have any customer care number so that I can talk directly to an agent.

I am really pleased with the Capital One Platinum credit card. I did get my level down and used it again - now reached it's limit.

I have never had a problem with Capital One!
