“It doesn't get any worse than this!”

I have been with Virgin since the days of Blueyonder when the service was excellent! However over the last 12 months during the day I get speeds as low as 0.01 (on a 60mb connection) and havn't seen over 1mb during peak hours for a long time. Simple things like streaming a video on youtube is impossible! Checking e-mails can be an absolute nightmare and forget trying to download anything or play any serious online games on the PC! “Must be the worst there is”

I have to work from home a few days a month. I connect to my office by VPN so got the 30mb package. Since day one it is rubbish. If the broadband is even on it's slow and unusable. On an evening it's hit and miss during the day it is almost non existent. I have just run a checker and my download is 183kb - on a 30mb package. I can't even retrieve my mail. “100Mbps lol don't make me laugh”

Been on cable for 11 years, originally with NTL which had its problems but was great 90% of the time. The service has got worse over time, and now its Virgin media, it is at an all time low. I was on a 50Mbps service, which was reasonably stable, but since the double speed upgrade to 100Mbps, it has become terrible. I have made mistakes in my life, but the biggest mistake i will ever regret always is getting into a contract with Virginmedia. This company is so rubbish it is so unbelieveable. The worst home phone and broadband provider in this 21st Century. I have had all problems too mentioned in all previous comments on here. When you complain the customer service agents don't care. They would rather argue back and make you look like your a liar. The hidden charges, the none contact about changes or charges the list goes on. How this company is getting away with such theft, customer abuse, illegal practices, lies etc.

“Solving the problem - it's the 'Super Hub' router!”

I have had a torrid time recently with Virgin Media. Customer Service has been largely unhelpful and I have had the same problem as many have had with non-existent service for large parts of the day and when the connection does become active, getting frustratingly slow speeds (slower than dial-up in fact). “Unreliable connection at best”

Been a customer since Telewest. Which was fantastic, service has degraded unbelievably over the last few years. From May 2011 to Mar 2012 had constant issues. Support gave constant fix dates, and these were all passed with no resolution. I would be told it would be fixed by Friday, the next week it would be a fix a week later, and then months later. “The worst Broadband service there's ever been.”

Constant outages, long periods when it alternates between being slower than dialup and not loading pages at all, many hours of hanging on the phone waiting for their appalling customer services in India, only to be lied to when I get through (if I get through) and that is only part of it. OK so I don't regularly test the actual speed using bespoke websites - I can tell just by browsing that the service is abysmal. I am supposed to be getting 30Mb but pages hang and take forever to open - it is so frustrating that I often use my mobile now instead of my PC or LT. Just did a speed test 0.76Mb - that is truly pathetic! “SK95NG area worst VIRGIN MEDIA EXPERIENCE EVER”

I like most was sucked into the fastest possible connection speed adverts, once i purchased the deal, had great performance, well for about a week. “Daily Drop Outs for 10mins - 6hrs. Miserable Support”

Consistent 1mb or below d/l speeds via broadband speed checker. Months of being incapable to even stream a youtube video without it stopping. A number of calls into customer service advising all the usual turn on turn off, change the channel you are on etc. The last bloke was friendly enough but gave up by the end of the conversation saying 'it should be fine'. “How not to retain a customer”

Having refused a so called free broadband order which was going to cost me £5?? my broadband is constantly dropping out to to point of non existence. I call regularly to advise and have received a number of engineer visits. I have had 3 TV boxes in just over a year. It's a shame that they only bend over backwards to help you when you are ready to leave. A £40 reduction on my package was offered but even if it was free - it rarely works.
