I am using Virgin broadband since last September which and started to have problems with connection soon after couple of weeks. At the time of purchase, the sales people did a good job in making me believe it is to be the most fast and efficient broadband in UK. What an illusion!!! I signed up with a full package with Virgin media in September, I told them there is a good chance I would have to move house, and do they think I should wait til then as it could cause problems, to which the lady who was obv desperate for her commission said to me that it was fine, if I move the package will move with me, for just £10.00 only, no problem. Now I am moving they have said they cannot provide me with a service at the new house, at all, and I have to pay them £200.00 to get out… Read Full Review

“Decent service”

Exchanged over to virgin from O2 broadband about 1.5 years ago now. Have rarely had any dropping connections, and when there have been its my end, or routine maintenance on virgins part (cant complain about a company performing maintenance and upgrades!). Have paid for 30mb broadband and usually reach 30mb. Times that I don't are the busy periods where I get maybe 20mb. Even then, it's not that common, and 20mb is still plenty fast enough. “Take money by card and dd without agreement”

Ok so our direct debit didn't clear in the first place, but phone to make a payment of the outstanding money by card and THEY TOOK THE NEXT MONTHS PAYMENT AS WELL, WHICH WAS NOT AGREED! Phoned I complain and they refunded immediately. “Buy virgin media at your own risk”

By far the worst company of any kind. I work from home so it important for me to have a reliable internet connection. I was a customer for about 7 years. I called them to ask for my MAC as I was thinking about trying another broadband supplier. They said they were going to email me the MAC the same day. Two hours after the phone call, I had no internet connection. I spent hours on the phone talking to them trying to solve the problem. After reading mixed reviews of both Virgin broadband and other providers I thought I should add my experience. Had them for over a year now and also moved home with them. Good points: Good consistent speed on broadband (never been below 56MB as on upto 60MB) Good technical support as my superhub has wifi issues ( confirmed by 6 different devices ) was sent a Dlink cable router to use instead and works a treat. “DONT CHOOSE VIRGINMEDIA THE WORST ISP IN UK”

60Mb/s Service a Joke. Lucky to get 5Mb/s on a good day at 6.00am. At other times less than 1Mb/s not uncommon. My phone is faster. Serious under investment in infrastructure means they cannot handle the volume of data it will be years before they catch up. Xbox unusable high ping means keep getting kicked off. Cant stream movies or youtube unwatchable. Skype jitters unusable. Email takes forever to send attachments. Get the 60mbs upgrade they said,the best service money can buy they said.....they lied. “Miserable and bad”

I have been with Virgin Media for the last Year and I must say it has been terrible at every step. Here's a list of things that went wrong: 1. “Virgin 30mb broadband”

i moved from bt to virgin a few months ago, started very well, over the last few months though it's been cutting out, and can not buffer a very sort video in 720p and sometimes struggles in 480p, (mainly YouTube, nothing to do with website, as my friend next door has O2 (16mb) and it plays much better. the signal strength is poor, the modem is completly trash, I had a bt hub 3 when I was with them, and signal was always full on my iPad, and pc in my bed room, virgin gives me 1-2 out of 3 bars… Read Full Review
