60Mb/s Service a Joke. Lucky to get 5Mb/s on a good day at 6.00am. At other times less than 1Mb/s not uncommon. My phone is faster. Serious under investment in infrastructure means they cannot handle the volume of data it will be years before they catch up. Xbox unusable high ping means keep getting kicked off. Cant stream movies or youtube unwatchable. Skype jitters unusable. Email takes forever to send attachments. “Not good at all”

Get the 60mbs upgrade they said,the best service money can buy they said.....they lied. They forgot to add that evenings would bottle neck the broadband to 2-5mbs due to putting too many people onto a system that couldn't handle it...but oh yes they would take your money, get you to sign on the dotted line with full knowledge of the limitations they would be providing. Virgin Media is useless with installation I have had two terrible experience with virgin and till today I do not have virgin. “Miserable and bad”

They made me feel trapped, like anybody else before, they made my life miserable. Just got 60 mb, but it is 20 mb only, can't get advice, can't get the money back, can't resign from lie 60 mb, but have to pay for it. This is like to buy a car without an engine. “'Bad at Every Step'”

I have been with Virgin Media for the last Year and I must say it has been terrible at every step. Here's a list of things that went wrong: 1. Setting up the contract was quick and easy, that said, they conveniently forgot to warn about the connection charge,which was almost double the monthly subscription itself. 2. Based upon the quality of your review; I suggest that you should consider taking English lessons. There are presumably plenty of decent learning centres within your local area that would be able to assist.

“Virgin 30mb broadband”

i moved from bt to virgin a few months ago, started very well, over the last few months though it's been cutting out, and can not buffer a very sort video in 720p and sometimes struggles in 480p, (mainly YouTube, nothing to do with website, as my friend next door has O2 (16mb) and it plays much better. the signal strength is poor, the modem is completly trash, I had a bt hub 3 when I was with them, and signal was always full on my iPad, and pc in my bed room, virgin gives me 1-2 out of 3 bars… Read Full Review

“Lies and gross competence ”

So after being charged 4x the BT rate for ~1mb connection i've been trying to leave Virgin for the last month. After calling to leave and get my MAC code - I came home to find the Broadband disconnected immediately. After 3 hours on the phone virgin tell me nothing they can do as BT have taken over the line, refusal to reconnect the broadband and have now us without broadband for 4 weeks. I Have Four mobile phone lines from Virgin and also subscribe to their fibre optic broadband service. All work well, however they never get their billing correct and despite numerous assurances and promises of credits, they never materialise. I am sick to death of complaining and give up. Generally very poor. Having recently moved house and taken up Virgin combined broadband phone and telly we were told that there was a problem receiving incoming calls which would be resolved shortly. 2 weeks later we can neither receive or make calls and our almost daily calls to Virgin are met with a variety of excuses and failed callbacks. Time wasters!!! I have ordered 100MB broadband & XL TV on 25.06.13, and received confirmation that order will be completed on 08.07.13. Nearly two weeks to wait! Well, I started to wait. 10 days after confirmation and 4 days before service due to be provided I received call from customer service call centre. Virgin media are absolutely terrible for gaming, high ping, high jitter and when trying to get hold of support you get put through to someone in Malaysia or India that goes through their "script" each time you call, effectively getting you nowhere and wasting your money on the call. “Works for me”

I have had Virgin broadband now for 18 months and I have to say it has worked flawlessly for me, running at 60mb, with wireless router it supports three of us in the house continuously throughout the day and evening. I have never experienced an outage in that time or felt the effects of slowing. Almost embarrassed to say given others experiences but I would strongly recommend, much better than the old BT copper and the fibre cabinet that never materialised in our area.
