    Could I suggest that people who are unhappy with the poor customer service and feel they are not being provided with the service they signed up just CANCEL THEIR DIRECT DEBITS. Then, when Tiscali try to chase up the money to fulfil the 12mth contract, you might get somebody British. Then you can tel ...

    I've been on tiscali broadband for a year now and really have had no problems. I am surprised at the number of people here who have. Setup was simple and quick, it runs very quick (especially since the free upgrade to 10x, i consistently hit 120kB/s download speed) and disconnections are very rare. ...

    Do not touch Tiscali (www.tiscali.co.uk) with a bargepole.

    1. They do not call you back when they say they will;
    2. Downtime on broadband is high (8 days for me and still not resolved!);
    3. They refuse to disconnect the service - even if they are providing a useless service;

    Tiscali (www.tiscali.co.uk) are recognised throughout the industry as the UK's worst ISP. All packages are now capped with the most generous cap level set at 1 gig per day. This is supposed to be a fault but no-one there knows how to fix it!

    All I will say to prospective Tiscali Broadband customers out there is don't touch Tiscali with a 50 foot barge pole! They offer the earth but deliver nothing. Constant dropped connection, forever limiting your bandwith down to dial up speeds and terrible customer service!

    When you compare Tiscali broadband packages, at face value, to other ISPs' it appears to offer a much faster and cheaper service for the amount of bandwidth you are getting than the others.

    Although Tisacli Broadband do not offer technical support for mac users they still claim their set up is mac friendly. NOT true.     Been with Tiscali Broadband for nearly two years through dial up and now X10 broadband. Only ever had one problem and did end up talking to India, which was difficult but within a few hours I was called from the UK and the problem was resolved, in a minute, to my total satisfaction.
