    Though the price is cheap, this is dependent on having a service delivered. My router stopped working (no lights will come on, won't power up, etc.) and I informed Tiscali. 2 weeks later and they still don't seem to understand the problem and every phone call is a rehash of the dead parrott sketch ...

    The worst thing I did was change from BT to Tiscali Broadband. My broadband speed dropped from 1,700kbs to a measly 256kbs!!     Contrary to popular internet opinion, I found Tiscali a good company to work with. Customer service was always helpful. The only problem for me was speed consistency.     Tiscali Broadband is usually fine, at the moment; really bad. No xboxlive, normal pages take ten minutes to load, youtube pages take stupid amounts of time to load, torrenting is a joke, etc.

    Technically speaking (until I came to use my land line for calls that is) the broadband connection was fine. It was only when I came to get the fault on my line rectified which was narrowed down to a fault with the Tiscali equipment in the local exchange.

    Would work better if the customer service was in the UK or at least the people on the end of the emails could understand English.

    I have been with Tiscali Broadband for around 5 years. Had a period of around 3 months very poor connection speeds but that was when i upgraded to 8mb from 2 mb. Went back to 2mb and now get consistent 2.5Mb connection.
