Been receiving excuses about why tiscali can't get set up for 7 months now. First it was they sent me a "non operable motem" next it was they didn't have the correct address in their system. Then it was they only have 1 person to set up the account and he is always either "off" or "busy" doing something else. They even once told me it's Telekoms fault because they used to provide service over 5 years ago and they failed to cancel the area they were providing so Tiscali wouldn't work there. Tiscali is pure garbage. Aboud tiscali and don't waste 7 months like I did

this site seems to be problems after problems already talk talk has been hacked this year have got to get a better internet email provider my emails is how i make my living and can not do this breakdown again bad customer service and money lost no good will gesture for money lost because of there fly by your pants internet service when they lose there private and business sector customers and there managers start loosing there jobs and there in there playpens may be then they will realize we should have gave a better customer service bunch of idiots stay well away from them like the Plague

I was a Tiscali BB customer for 7 years. We reported poor or unreliable connection over much of that time and spent countless hours on the phone to non-uk tech support. While they had plenty of scripted chat, they never solved the problem. In frustration, we moved to BT. On the day of transfer, connection speed DOUBLED, before installing the BT hub. What annoys me is that Tiscali insisted our speed could be no faster, whoever the ISP. What a pack of lies. Don't make my mistake, if your speed is poor with Tiscali, just leave!

Ever since Talktalk bought Tiscali service and reliability has gone downhill. Rather than get on top of the situation it seems a process of steady decay with nobody in Talktalk notices or are powerless to rectify

Sine tiscali were taken over by Talk talk the service has been ddreadful. It is slow. The messages sent cannot be found and after accessing an inbox mail one goes back to the inbox and there is a blank page. I have had a simialr problem with contacting technical support. Yes they are polite but their accent is difficult to understand and they talk so quickly. Additioonally I am hard of hearing and ask them to speak up but with little response. I have treid writing to Talk Talk but, as with many organisations these days, they do not even send an acknowledge ment. they only seem interested in our money. I will shortly move to Sky.

I am using a wireless connection, yet when I am in the middle of writing a long email, I find that it has disconnected. It gives you the offer of saving the message to drafts before re-signing on. That, of course must be their idea of a joke! Its may or more usually may not be there. If it is, there is only half of it. You try ringing the Customer Service - India of course, where the people are charming and polite, but obviously have no idea how to solve the problem, so are reading from the manual and no matter how I word my problem, they read out the same answer. Before I was with them, I was with Talk Talk, and now with Tiscali. Fortunately I use Apple which gives a reasonably good speed. With my old Windows, it was so slow, I had time to make a coffee while it downloaded! It has got worse instead of better and the only reason I am still there, is because I negotiated a deal of no line fee and all calls are free, including overseas. If that was to change, I would be gone in a minute.

Was with Tiscali for many years and have noticed no difference in the service other than a sudden increase of 30% in the cost. However have no complaints about the service, spedds are generally in the 3 to 4mb range which is not bad considering my distance from the exchange.

Been with tiscali then talktalk for 3yrs, since talktalk took over rubbish!tried to go wireless on 2 laptops, nightmare. Spoke to people in India they were polite and helpful,but couldnt connect either to wireless i have a new moden one week old, they say it is a faulty modem and talktalk are trying to tell me i have to pay £50 for another one. i would not recommend talktalk to my worst enemy they are useless. They have been sending me a bill for £0.00 for a new number on a new line they insisted i needed to change from tiscali to talktalk, although they are the same company.I later went back to my original line and number!!

I have been with Tiscali for 5 years for calls. Talk Tlak snet me a vague letter date March 2011 preching about an improved billing system. For them maybe. On the reverse is a single entry that says "my package" has been moved to UK Evening and Weekend. It was suppised to start on 15th March but they have backdated the call charges to 1 Feb. The call charges went up by 7-8x from about £15 per month to over £100.
These people are serial incompetents, and operate with some very dubious business practises, many of which are not legal. You cannot backdate increases without prior consent for one.

Had Tiscali Max for many years the service was fine, not one issue until talktalk took over, download speed went form 7M to 0.5M over night, customer service were completely useless, tech support even more so

Had similar experience as other here, called and kept on phone for 1 hour 45 mins and passed to at least 6 departments all in India, with no result at the end. We requested a MAC code and did not recieve it, 2 weeks later the service stopped and they will not even speak to me as we buy through a reseller. 3 and a half weks have now passed and even BT cannot help! so I guess I,ll never be able to have B/band again and will probably have to change phone lines, which will result in further cost and delay. As I work from home in the evenings and rely on an internet connection this has been a very costly episode. I would urge eveyone to stay clear of Tiscali/Talk Talk and report any similar abismal service to Watchdog and Ofcom. I'll also switch my business B/band from them at our office which I can do after setting up a new provider on another phone line. This whole incident should not have happened and it is their incompatence which should lead to them being fined or better still closed down to protect the fair people of this country!

Absolutely ATROCIOUS. Would NOT recommend to ANYONE. Traffic shaping, fair-use policies, the works. The "peak times" are awful aswell. 6pm-11pm? NO. More like 8am to 2am the next day! Switch as fast as possible if you are with them and if not, thank god! Steer well clear of this company!

I have been without broadband since 30 dec 2010 and it's now MARCH 4th!! I only stayed because I need the email address.. talk talk took them over.. they have consistantly lied to me. I will be taking legal action to claim back my "fee" they have charged me for NO service. THEY are in breach of contract big time.. ring up their tech staff "yes sir it will be on tomorrow" .. a bunch of liars.. I am not at the connection all the time, otherwise I'd have dumped them. since talk talk took them over they are rubbish. I will also be contacting BBC watchdog as I've been treated / lied to so badly!

Been with Tiscali for years. Hardly any problems worth a mention.
Since the Talk Talk take over download speed are about 25% of what they were previously.
Customers service and technical support is a joke.
I would never think of using any product associated with these clowns nor recommend them to even my worst enemy.
Cannot get rid of them quick enough.

We have been with Tiscali for several years and have never had cause to complain. Unfortunately we are now leaving after having awful problems with them, I believe this is to do with Talk Talk taking over!Had our internet cut last Thursday and believing we had a problem contacted the technical support who talkem me through fixing it for 1 and a half hours!! The next day the engineer failed to call so called them to be told that the internet had been cut because our card had expired.This had been given to them 3 years previously. After I had given them another card they then told me the phone was now also barred for another 48 hours,the only person I could call was Talk Talk! This was on Friday and still no internet on Monday night! Eventually they decided that I was still being barred for some reason and nobody could understand why,I was passed to about 20 different people in India! I lost my cool when they informed me it was being processed and now 92 hours later they were going to reinstate my internet 48 hours further!
Avoid this company at all costs!!

I have now spent the last three consecutive days trying to get a problem sorted out with my broadband connection. Initially told it was a router problem and that they could replace my router with a free talk talk router. I said that would be fine. Then they stated that to get a free router I would have to sign up for a further 18 months contract with them..... I refused saying that I had been a customer of theirs for over 5 years. I was then told that they would need to do a line check and needed to end the call and that they would call me back the next day. They did so and I was informed that the line had been checked and reinstated and that I would not have any further problems. (After 25mins of conversation). Strangely enough, the same problem occurred the next day. Rang TT and they went through the same checks again. After 20 minutes the call got cut off so matter was not resolved. Called back again and further checks and another 20 minutes later was informed that it was a router problem. They could send me a free router, but that I would have to sign a further 18 month contract... I was of course furious because of that lack of customer support and the fact that I was paying for a service that was not working. I asked for a MAC code to end the contract. Informed that they would put me thorough to their 'Loyalty Dept'.... I then asked them to get the Loyalty Dept to contact me and they said it could not be done. After a further 2 minutes of talking they said that someone from the Loyalty Dept would contact me. I will be looking for an alternative Service Provider.
