I recently flew with Thomas Cook to Corfu and the service from the flight attendants was appalling. First off they didn't have any lf the drinks we asked for. Then they were extremely rude when we joked about a discount on another drink they had Available. “VIP transport and lounge at Holguin airport Cuba”

We booked the VIP lounge and seats together with the Thomas Cook rep on site. He told us we would have VIP check in, sit in an air conditioned lounge where we could enjoy complimentary food and drink. He also assured us that we would all be in the same row if we paid for seats together. The total cost for the VIP lounge for the 7 of us was 256 US dollars which I paid by credit card. Myself and my family flew with Thomas Cook on 22nd August 2015 from Newcastle to Palma. Flight and service at Newcastle was very good. Arrived in resort after a very early start - baggage came off very quickly. For once and surprise that I have to praise the officer who dealt with my request for a APD refund. I did not expect the helpful response and expected to be told to go to the travel company that I had booked my holiday with, instead after confirming that I had a paid for a child's ticket, I was given a refund for the duty paid for a child's ticket. Holiday 2nd August. Good hotel. Food mostly good, something for everyone. Entertainment cheesy but fun for kids. Some bickering between entertainers evident. Kids club excellent. “flight okay, lots of waiting”

Small print made us confused on which terminal we were leaving from so went to the wrong one at Gatwick. At prime time with lots of Thomas cook flights there was only one member of staff to check us in so we had to wait for 1 hour 15 minutes this then pushed us from time and couldn't have lunch. “Ficos Hotel Lanzarote spain”

Having just spent 7 days at this hotel, which was very nice, clean and good food! I would like to make sure two members of staff get recognised... Stuart and Katy (2 reps from Thomas Cook!) These two worked from morning until night time and didn't stop. I know some people don't want to play water polo bingo or even play darts but Stuart and Katy kept everyone entertained. “Duty of Care? Thomas Cook Just Don't Care!”

On Saturday night (25th July), at approx. 10.05pm local time, I was collected by car (with my partner) from Club Letoonia in Turkey. Our rep had said a mini bus would collect us, take us to a Hotel in Fethiye where we would meet the coach transporting us to Dalaman airport ready for our flight back to the UK The car sent to collect us was unmarked, had nothing to say it was booked by Thomas Cook, and the driver could speak no English. Hiya.
It's easier to book your own hotel/flight/transfer/car parking etc. and you could save up to £500. Try it next time. If things go wrong on this basis you only have yourself to blame.

Thanks for the update I would never use ThomasCook Again after the way they handled the deaths of those poor children, and this just goes to show they have not changed.

Thomas Cook were brilliant, they did over and above what they needed to. Me and my partner booked a holiday to Tunisia and obviously due to the circumstances we wanted to change our destination. The women spent an hour and a half trying to find us another holiday, she gave us advice on the places to go and even spoke to us about places to visit in certain areas, she found us a lovely holiday and we are so happy we were able to change and with ease. I was offered a work experience placement on thomas cooks. You'd expect a very well reputed company to have some knowledge on how to deal with temporary members of staff even if it is just for 2 weeks! I was briefly shown around by the manager after first walking in and then never seen the managers face again! She sat me behind a desk with no work whatsoever so from 10am to 5.50pm o was sat behind a desk looking into blank space! No staff spoke to me or acknowledged me! “Thomas Cook Won't Accept Their Own Travellers Cheques”

We came across some travellers cheques we had bought from Thomas Cook (admittedly quite some time ago). They were TCs own brand cheques in US Dollars ($870 worth). Since we now both OAPs it's unlikely that we'll visit the USA again because the travel insurance is prohibitive. No problem you'd have thought, just take them back to TC and change them back to pounds especially since on the back of the folder there's a statement saying that TC will buy back any unused cheques commission free! “Exchange rate scam”

However, is not clear that you have to reserve online in order to get this rate because if you don't and you go straight to the store you will get the worst exchange rate ever. Most of the time the food provided was horrible, specifically in Paris. Even the hospitality was at it's lowest in Paris restaurants. We were promised 4* hotels but many of them were not. Worst tour manager,poorest food outlets included in the itinerary. Poor lodging. This is the worst travel group. No one should take it. Usually arrange our own holidays via the net. Had a fixed budget, fixed dates and very little time to book 2 short breaks due to pressure at work. Someone recommended Thomas Cook's bespoke package. Called in at a branch one Saturday. What a mistake! First problem.
