I booked a holiday costing 869 and paid a deposit of 300 ,I had to cancel due to ill health and gave four and a half months notice,so they can easily resell the holiday.I was prepared to lose the deposit of 300,but imagine my horror when I was told the deposit had been 300 for the first payment and another 300 "deposit" I also had to pay,so it was going to cost 600 pound to not go on the holiday!This is making me Ill.It had taken me 3 years to save for the holiday and they have been a money… Read Full Review

“Worst Travel services ever! very inadequate &...”

I would have given no stars if I could. Very inadequate customer service department. I have had to chase them myself for a response regarding a complaint I had made in June2014 regarding a flight they had delayed by 9hrs. When I did receive a response the person clearly didn't read my emails properly. Each time I asked to speak to a manager/ supervisor 'no one is available'. “The worst customer service EVER ”

I would never ever ever book a holiday through this company ever ever ever again. I was totally miss sold a holiday, the flight was like a sardine tin, the hotel staff abroad where all rude and I was even told to F off by one of them! Never in my life have I recieved service like it and the rep was never to be seen! I complained when I got home with a whole list of things that had gone wrong to be insulted with a £99 voucher! “I like Thomas Cook”

If I'm going on holiday Thomas Cook tends to be the first travel agent I look at. However our trip to Cuba in December 2014 highlighted areas where they need to improve. Five hour delay flying out 2 hour delay flying back, all due to technical faults on airplane. Very bad flying out as aircraft in Manchester had technical problems and substitute airplane in Gatwick also had technical problems. Sort out your aircraft! “Thomas Cook Flexible trips, neglected area”

I booked about a month in advance and the money was taken off me immediately for hotel + Eurostar. They were to send the tickets few days before. Once you have paid up, you continue life making the money needed to pay up. Luckily, a day before I had some time and I checked travel documents. No tickets ! Loads of documents had been emailed covering their backs but no tickets. No one answers the phones or websites are not for flexible trips. “Flexible Trips - AVOID!”

Check the Flexible Trip holidays carefully before you book - including Trip Advisor. We paid extra for an "Express Shuttle" so that we could make the most of our short holiday. In fact, we had to wait an hour for the shuttle, by which time the other passengers from the plane had already caught the coach and arrived at their hotels. Our journey was a 15 hour nightmare Getting up at 3 am we were told our flight was delayed but only told on checking in we were flying to Bari instead of Naples and not told why. We had several problems from booking our holiday, to food at hotel, to the delayed flight home! Extremely disappointed considering this was my first holiday abroad. Despite going all inclusive we went out of the complex 3 days out of the 7 just to get some decent food! I sent in a claim form on the 18th September regarding the 4 hour delay on the return flight and have still heard nothing despite sending it again in October! Still awaiting a response to a query regarding a charge to our credit card on our return form our recent holiday...we have been charged for our hotel rooms again despite paying for our holiday in full before we went and booked it last november. Felt completely and utterly let down by our Thomas cook rep, this was our honeymoon and decided to take a couple of romantic trips with the tour guide, unfortunately she gave us the wrong details to meet the coach so we missed the trip all together and although the money was taken out of account on the day it was booked it took nearly 30 days to get the money refunded with no compensation for the loss of the trip we were looking forward to. Have just returned from turkey flights with thomas cook horrendous 3 hours delay on outbound flight 4 hours delay on return hardly any help from thomas cook just excuses . Booked holiday on direct holidays website last night to go to sharm el sheik in November advertised as transfers included. As I went through booking process holiday extras come up with transfers as 44 quid for 2 of us. Checked the site again holiday for the date advertised as transfers included. An appalling company!!! I am absolutely appalled and shocked at the customer care that this company has or should I say does not have. I booked my honeymoon through Thomas Cook. First the hotel was changed, but instead of calling they just sent an email with no details about the hotel or the type of room/ They then called with just over four weeks to go to say the flight had been cancelled - no reason given - and that we could book something else with them or get a refund.
