Thomas Cooke rep was a lovely girl and did her job very professionally. She has a lovely attitude with the guests and goes out of her way to help people.
Booked early and had it in writing I would be in Oura Praia in Albulfeira Portugal, but on arrival was put into the CPO building.
Manager of CPO informed me I couldn't be moved until four days and could sit in reception the four days if I wished to. Very arrogant. Only for my rep getting me moved to the Oura Praia I would have had to sit in… Read Full Review

Before taking our holiday we called their customer service number well in advance to ask if we had the hotel room all day on the day of departure since we did not leave the resort till 1.30am the following day.
We were told of course no problem etc by Thomas cook advisor!
However Come 2pm Monday the 30th we return from the beach after our last day of what had been a brilliant holiday only to be told we had to pay 50 extra Euros for the room we were staying in!

Thomas Cook must be the worst tour operator in the world. Their (lack of) Customer Service department leaves a lot to be desired. I booked a holiday to Cuba on-line with them in Jan 08 for travel in Oct 08 flying premium class. A couple of months ago I received a letter saying that the advertised 4" legroom difference was no longer applicable as they had reconfigured the seat pitch in the standard cabin to 33". We wasted our time telephoning Thomas Cook Customer Services, the time we waited for a reply would probably cost us almost as much as a holiday. I listened to "What a difference a day makes" 23 times one day and then got cut off! I wrote a letter of complaint to TC on 14th February and didn't get a reply until 17th April and it seemed clear to me from their reply they hadn't bothered to read my original letter properly. I have just visited my local Thomascook agent to complain about having my holiday to the Maldives cut short by a day. They also didn't seem to care that they would lose my booking & that I wouldn't be booking any more holidays with them. (previously spent around £15k over 5 years)

Hotel staff friendly and mostly happy. Having travelled with Thomas cook on numerous occasions the brochure details for this accommodation regarding everything has let both them and us down, resulting in a very expensive, long awaited disappointing holiday for us. Well I was sceptical to begin with as we've heard nothing good about Thomas cook, however they did find me a good deal, so I was willing to take the plunge, and now I kind of wish we hadn't.
When I entered the Thomas Cook shop I sat with the advisor and told him I wanted somewhere fully inclusive, anywhere but Spain (we go there every year!) and the resort must have a beach nearby that is sandy as that was where I would spend my entire holiday! The flight was great with Thomas Cook. My partner is 6ft4" and always has uncomfortable flights but for once had LOADS of leg room which made both our flight much more comfortable (9hours to Florida).
Food was great. I was impressed with the flight as I has heard very bad reviews earlier this year so expecting the worst so was glad to be proved wrong! Flew out from Gatwick 10th May and returned from Sanford Orlando 24th landing 25th May

We went to he hotel Caribe in Portaventura on 5/5/08 for 2 weeks we were very board not a lot to do. It rained a lot but when it rains they close all the food places and places to get ice creams so you have to go hungry. The rep was just a wast of space. Coach home was a joke first it was not our coach they got to round about and decided she had another sheet and it was our coach so had to come back for us. 3 hour delay. Didn't help with the 4.5 hour flight.
Meal on plane was great. Cabin Crew were very speedy with things. Hotel staff were very informative and also very quick with things.

I used thomas cook premier to fly to Sanford, the leg was reduced to about 2inches more than ecomony, there was a comfort back on outward journey but none inward, apparently economy received comfort packs anyway we had 2 free drinks!

Truly dreadful customer service. Since Thomas Cook took over My Travel they have completely made a mess of our booking - downgraded our room, sent out 3 incorrect invoices and still no tickets as the invoices state. We are still due to pay when we paid in full in March. The Thomson Celebration cruise I went on from 11th - 18th April 2008 was fantastic ..the service was 110%, The staff were the best. The food was amazing. Entertainment ...out of this world. The Captain was a darling. Oh and I so want to go back! Thank you all at Thomson. I'm saving up already for the next cruise.
I would so recommend a Thomson Cruise to everyone.

I booked a holiday for my family and friends a year ago and am due to fly in 4weeks time. I got a phones call from Thomas Cook saying that they no longer use the hotel and have offered us a replacement. I went in and saw the replacement was very tatty and worth less that what we had paid for. I mentioned another hotel I would like to stay at (I have a 16month old son so need to make sure hotel is suitable) and they said they couldn't offer us the hotel as its £70 extra. Our beautiful holiday to Jamaica, has been spoiled for me, and my daughter and son, we had the receipts and all documents, to fly on the 4th of May 08 and we went to the Manchester airport at 5am to check in and then, they said that we unable to travel because of date error. Will never fly with them again. Truly awful. Well, we got vegetarian meals even though we'd booked them but they had no record of this on board. Cramped. Rude cabin crew. We booked our holiday in Nov 07 and prior to us paying 9 weeks before we found out that our holiday to Cuba has dropped by £600 (not as a cancellation or sale) the company said nothing can be done. So it is now time to pay the remainder of the holiday. Flight now has a block on it and it could be cancelled, departure airport changed, flight date changed, carrier changed - all currently unknown.
