This is shocking!!! Please beware of auto europe car hire. I wish I read this review before my friend and us decided to go with renting a car for a week. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PRICES, THERE ARE A LOT OF HIDDEN ZOMBIES in this business model of theirs.

The car was quite good value online with Auto Europe but when I reached the airport the excess for any damage whether my fault or not was a staggering 1800 euros. To avoid this I was told it would cost 105 euros extra which I agreed to. The actual cost when I checked my statement was 210 which I now ...

Auto europe quotes you a price and takes a deposit. That price DOES NOT INCLUDE all charges for the rental. YOU WILL PAY MORE.

I suggest renting directly from the company. Even if you pay more, you will know what you are paying!

dreadful. the Auto Europe Car Hire rep on collection was hostile and not helpful. it stated that there were no extras to pay when collecting the car. there was £75 non refundable plus £80 for additional insurance demanded.
