““Reem” from Lyon Airport - horrendous customer...”

Absolutely horrendous airline. Do not fly with this airline, will do everything to avoid flying their customers. The Head of the Department at Lyon Airport, a woman called Reem (wearing a white jumper with the word Sunday on it) is very rude, unprofessional and it seemed that she actually wanted us to be stuck and not be able to get on our flight. She refused to give us her name but we heard her colleagues calling her. We had spoken to the Tunisian embassy before booking our flights and they had confirmed that my husband didn’t need a visa to fly to Tunisia and that he would get a visa on arrival as an Indian citizen. We showed them our hotel booking and return flights and every possible website that would state exactly that but Reem, would not accept it and say that she spoke to “someone” on the phone who said that he needs a visa before the flight. We asked her who she had spoken to but she wouldn’t tell us, we asked her if we could speak to her contact and explain the situation and she abruptly said no! Who knows to what random person she had spoken or maybe she just made it up! It’s unbelievable that an airline would treat their paying customers that way, we were with a baby and two small children. We then finally could reach someone on the phone at the airport from Tunis who wanted to speak to Reem and confirm that we could fly but she had just disappeared! Obviously, we will sue this airline for making us miss our flight and our holiday but for sure we will never, ever book again with them! Avoid at all cost!

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

At the check-in, Tunisian 'friends', of which a police officer, were given clear preferential treatment. Not only by ignoring the official queue and pushing Tunisians forward, but also by accepting excess baggage without charging. In addition very large suitcases were allowed into the cabin. Similarly like on the way TO Tunisia, the same happened on the flight back home: endless fights to get the overweight luggage pushed into the overhead bins. In fact, the crew even 'ordered' some foreign visitors (tourists) to take their coats and smaller baggage away from the bin above their seat, and put it at the back of the cabin. Only to make it 'easier' for their friends' to store the oversized bag. A filthy aircraft, arrogant and rude cabin crew, minuscule plastic cups with water. Unfortunately there was no alternative flight on this sector. TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!

“Try them, they are fine ”

Flew with this company to enfida on the 25/09/14 and was a bit concerned after reading the reviews. However, we didn't have a problem with them. The flight was on time, good leg room, food and drink cheap, plane clean & staff very happy and friendly. Would definately fly with them again and would recommend to friends and family to use them.

Travelled in July and was worried after reading unpleasant reviews. Plane was clean and staff were pleasant. Already booked for next July and chose Nouvelair flight. Onboard prices were very reasonable.

“Really impressed”

When I found out we was flying with nouvelair I hit the reviews as I'd never even heard of them ! After reading tonns of negative reviews I was dreading the flight ! Well I can honestly I was very impressed ! The staff was very friendly , as we was bordingy daughter ( we is scared of flying ) waved at the piolet and he called her into the cockpit and talked to her , then called her back in half way into flight and let her have a pic taken sat in his chair which she thought was amazing !! The plane itself was very clean and was tonns of leg room as the magazine holders was in head rests which is a brill idea ! Both flights set off early and arrived early ! I honestly don't know where all the bad reviews come from !

“would never fly with them through choice ”

Weve just returned from our holiday and was booked through Thomson who changed our flight airline to nouvelair..i read through reviews before i went and can see what everyone was saying. we was delayed on the way out there but when we finally got to board you would hope to find a friendly smile from the staff but instead this is a non smiling airline and extremely rude. even when i tried to smile at them ask a question they just look at you like your non existent. the plane its self was dirty and needs updating the arm rest in front of us fell off halfway through the flight and the air-conditioning compartment above the people in front of us was hanging down and broken. safety checks are done but over very quickly. we had very bad turbulence there and back which ive never experienced and as well as my self everyone was finding it a little frighting the staff or captain never reassured you that everything was ok. even flying through this airline was not my choice i would never use them again i felt no safety on that plane.

“Not so bad”

My daughter and I flew to Tunisia in September with this airline. I must say I was dreading it due to reading reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised. The cabin crew were friendly and welcoming, a bit more legroom would have been better admittedly. The best surprise though was the price of the drinks on board - £2 for a double (miniature) instead of £4 on Thomson/First Choice/Monarch. All in all it was not a bad experience and would not worry one bit to fly with them again.

“at your own risk”

Nouvelair is probably one of the most curious companies I have ever flown with. This is a non smiling company- rude staff from beginning to end. Flight was CPH-DJE, flight was on time. Had a row 1 aisle seat- which was a bad bad seat. Staff kept bumping into my seat during the flight. Asking them to try to avoid only made matters worse. Prepaid meals were inedible, one staff snnezed into the food when serving- yikes. Plane was not cleaned and seats had a lack of comfort, seatbelts or was not able to get into an upright position. Captain had his in-laws onboard which resulted in a constant invite to come smoke in the cockpit with him. Asking to buy a modelplane on the onboard shop i was told that they had no one left- well it was right infront of me as I pointed out. This company is a laugh- and I would never fly with them even if I got my flight for free. What a lovely first impression you get of the country when you start out with Nouvelair- ...

“I'm not a fussy person and reading revievs of...”

I'm not a fussy person and reading revievs of Nouvelair on the net I thought people are overreacting ...
But I have to admit they're not !!
We've had 3 hours delay.
The plane looked 100 years old, seats were broken, torn, basically falling apart ...
I'm not very religious, but I have actually prayed to be alive when this piece of s*** was starting.
When the engine was working it sounded like a helicopter more than a plane, you felt like seating next to the lawnmower...
The whole plane was dirty- rubbish everywhere :/
Asked for 2 seats together- didn't happen although we were one of the first to check in.
My friend was missing half of the seatbelt, when reported it to the stewart he sighted loudly and went looking for it, making her feel like she bothered him without a good reason !!
Two of them were struggling to close the plane door, couple of pushes and kicks were required to do so in the end...
Crew was rude and totally uninterested with passengers-people were walking around the plane when the seatbelt sign was on and no one reacted.
The announcements were hard to hear and understand.
I have never seen the safety presentation to be over so quickly.
The pilots and crew regularly walked between the pilot's cabin and plane leaving the doors open...
We've had in-flight meals booked, but it turned out to be a joke like the whole thing- they were selling disgusting looking sandwiches.
The drinks had to be paid for as well and I've seen people having problems, the crew was trying to cheat on them, and then argued with them if they didn't want to pay.
I would never think something like this might happen in 21st century...
It was an absolute disgrace :[

It was awful. The flight was extremely noisey, but I think that was probably because it was an older plane. I'm 5f8" and my friend is 5f3", and both of our kness rubbed against the chairs in front of us.

There was a used sick bag in the seat pocket, which obviously means that the plane hadn't been cleaned.

Coming back was a different story. My seat would not go upright as it button was broken, and the flight was rediculously hot. The seats on the plane are awfully hard and not suitable if you have a bad back.

Anyway, the gist of it is I wouldn't travel Nouvelair again if you paid me. It is truely awful!!

Well i fly from Dublin to Monastair with Nouvelair , me and my mum were exspecting a meal on the plane so we did not get any thing at the airport. We were delayed by 5 hourswe were told that the last flight had lost it's right wing.Then 5 hours later we were sent another plane same type but we got on the plane lovely greeting by the staff (old man) and a beutiful lady. I very disapointed because we did not get a a meal it said on the book that we were getting a meal but we did not get a meal then we arrived at monastair and very very hungery it was 2.00Am and me and mum were very hungery and ithe flight back had a video and map about flight details i would wish we got a meal on this plne next time that we fly with them we want to go to tunisa again but i had bad reviews about tunisair so nouvel air would have to be the best. I was very shocked to see a cabin staff sithing on their lap-top. There was a hole in my window and i still had oxyghen but it was no the best airline in the world ! (disapointed) :(

Nouvelair flight from wet windy Cork, took off on time, very professional cabin crew, quick, friendly service...food is well packed/not to my taste but can't complain. Plenty of soft drinks available (only charge for alcoholic drinks on board). Pretty comfortable and clean aircraft.
Smooth flight, would fly with them again, far better/cleaner than Tunisair.

“I have just come home off holiday from Djerba,...”

I have just come home off holiday from Djerba, Tunisia. My holiday was booked almost 3 months in advance. When booking my holiday, I requested a Gluten Free Meal on both the outward bound, and inward bound flight, as usual I received no meal, I have to say that on the outward bound flight they did try to offer me some sort of alternative, but on the inward bound flight they just thought I was being awkward, and when I ask for an alternative, they were very unhelpful. I have to stress that requesting a Gluten Free Meal is not a WHIM or a CHOICE, as with Vegetarian. It is due to a Medical Condition called Coeliac Disease, therefore eating anything that is not Gluten Free will cause me to be extremly ill indeed. I really feel that I was treated in a very inconsiderate fashion, I appreciate that it is difficult to make sure that everybody has the meals that they require, but I think that it is very important that your company educates the cabin staff with regard to special diets that could cause illness, Vegetaians choose to be veggy's, I myself do not have an option in being Coeliac.

Outbound flight from Gatwick to Monastir was delayed by 3 hours with no explanation from their staff.
Inbound flight from Monastir to Gatwick was delayed by 2 hours with no explanation from staff.
Take something to eat for the flight, the food was very poor quality.
It would seem that Nouvelair flights to Tunisia are regularly delayed as our transfer rep from our resort to Monastir airport joked about the flight more than likely not being on time.

“Nouvelair flight from Bucharest (Baneasa) to Monastir...”

Nouvelair flight from Bucharest (Baneasa) to Monastir (Habib Bourghiba) was by far the best flight that I ever had. I don't like taking off, but this time it was perfect...A smooth, comfortable flight to sunny Tunisia.
The cabin crew were OK. I didn't talk to them much, but the service was on time and the food was good (I've never before tasted good airline food).

What I thought was not alright were the toilets. The lock on the door was broken, and you could only hope that nobody would open the door while you using the toilet. It wasn't very clean either, but it was acceptable.

Both flights, to and from Tunisia were a little late, but I would recommend Nouvelair!!

The air conditioning was non-existent. The food tasted like paste. No, wait, paste tastes better. The cabin crew were very unhelpful, and the landing was terrible. I will never fly with them again. I would rather swim home next time.

I am a nervous flyer, therefore reading these reviews on Nouvelair scared me! However, this was one of the best flights I have taken.

The cabin staff were efficient and courteous. The food (although not to my taste) was served quickly and efficiently. I did not check the toilets, as I don't think this is always necessary on a 3 hour flight! Safety checks were performed to a high standard, and on the return flight we had a video of the safety checks, followed by a constant stream of information on speeds and location etc throughout the flight.

Overall I was very impressed.

There appeared to be a loud noise coming from one of the engines upon take-off. I have flown on many occasions and had never heard such a noise previously. Upon disembarking, I noted that there were a number of people, presumably engineers, peering into the engine from which the noise had emanated, with torches. There was a delay before take-off. Given that the plane had just flown into Monastir Airport, I wonder whether the unusual noise from the engine had been noted, but a decision was made to fly the plane in any event.
The food was awful, but was not of such concern, given fears regarding the strange engine noise.
The service provided by the cabin crew was perfunctory. Safety checks were also carried out in a perfunctory manner, eg. cursory glances to see if seatbelts were buckled. The cabin crew appeared disinterested.
The plane was old. Its interior was shabby. The toilets were disgusting - brown, stained and old. I would never fly with this airline again.
