Having purchased already decided to purchase of a Linksys WAG54G ADSL wireless router and WUSB54G bundle package I subsequently read some very negative reviews on this site.
It was with some trepidation then that I took receipt of these items and proceeded to set them up.

I have had 3 of these units now. The first was replaced by linksys as the wireless would not stay up for more than 5 mins. The second whilst the drop out is still there only less frequent, it is ALWAYS actually slower than the software reports.

I cannot believe some of the reviews for the Linksys WAG54G-UK Router that I have read here. I would warn anyone against buying this product as it gave no end of problems from day one. I got fed up with talking to a foreign guy in mailla every time I wanted to discuss these problems only to be told ...

The Linksys WAG54G-UK Router is a good product and is very reliable. The unit only covered the upstairs, but it is a large house. Buying an extender now gives excellent coverage of the whole house. I am a reseller and went for the Linksys WAG54G-UK units due to the Cisco alliance - big mistake!
Deployed x3 of them from x2 differnt suppliers (batches). All had wireless reliability issues.
Have gone back to using the Trusty Belkin unit - they are superb.

Overall the Linksys WAG54G-UK Router and the wireless adapter work very well together most of the time. I just wish i knew why the wireless connection is so unstable and ultimately unreliable quite often.

We have so far tried 3 of these units from 2 different sources. Within a short time each of them has exhibited the same problem, that is total unreliability of wireless connection.
