I have recently ended my David Lloyd membership, after only using the club, six times in over a year. At 68 perhaps I was past it.
On cancelling my direct debit, I was told there would be a £150 'fine' for not giving 3 months notice.
I spoke on the phone and explained that I knew nothing of ...

I've often been critical of the Leeds club but management have always quickly rectified the problems I've highlighted, except for those mentioned above. I've been a member for 8 years and have looked at all the competitors and just wouldn't change

Well not having joined David Lloyd Leisure Health Club because of fee's and contract I can't give a brilliant review but I will say this if every one refused to pay a joining fee they couldn't charge anyone because they wouldn't have any members. Although 4 of my friend joined in a quiet period and ...

Been a member since 1992 and cannot fault any of the David Lloyd gyms. I have used a number branches - namely North Finchley, Raynes Park, Brooklands-Weybridge, Woking, Reading, Kingston, Sevenoaks, Southampton (my local branch), Bournemouth, Port Solent (Portsmouth) and Ringwood. Not one bad gym to ...

The David Lloyd Leisure Health Club staff can be apathetic & uninterested, most of the lockers are rented out, so difficult to get a locker.I have to give an appalling 3 months notice if you want to cancel & they seem to over-subscribe in membership

Overall I have felt very disappointed with David Lloyd Leisure Health Club. They make lots of promises when they are giving you the sales pitch and then take your money and run!

David Lloyd do not respect the older customers, during 5 years with the club there was only one occasion when an instructor approached me to suggest how I modified excercises I was doing, the other point is that music in the gym can be at a deafening level, with no consideration for the members gym ...

Before you join a David Lloyd gym ask them to verbally explain the cancellation process. It personally cost me almost £300 to cancel my membership. That's a lot of money to most people.

Ask them how frequently and well the staff are trained to deal with membership problems, and what is thei ...

The David Loyd Leisure Health Club have a rather unfortunate habit of being unable to file a letter or make a note of a phone call (despite their insistence that their staff are fully trained in such complex office skills). Having given notice to leave the club (3 months as per their ridiculous con ...
