Esporta exploited the fact that I was pregnant to get me into the gym, then did not allow me to try facilities until I signed the papers. When I found their shower cubicles filthy and too small for my pregnant belly, they refused to cancel my contract.

Esporta are the worst Gym/Club I have ever used, They cunningly tie you into a contract for 12 months, I have never herd of signing a contract to be a member of a Gym. I have had a similar experience with Esporta Health Clubs and am being bullied into either signing a new contract or paying the balance on an old 'cancelled' contract - otherwise they have threatend to allow a debt collection agency to take me to court. We was told we had 14 days to cancel when we joined up Esporta Harlow, handed notice in on the 14th day after an allergic raction to there swimming pool and cancelled the direct debit. So far have had 3 further letters saying we can't cancel and threats of debt collectors.

Great equipment, but a shame Esporta Health Clubs are so money focussed. Staff are generally uninterested and when you need a member of staff they cannot be found. Gym not well maintained. Most of all customer service appalling, especially if you decide to leave!

Esporta are bsolutely the worst gym I have ever been to. Not worth the money. Changing rooms are often dirty, the swimming pool needs investment, classes and teachers are average or below. I signed up with Esporta on their premium membership with an explicit clause in the contract at the time that I may cancel before the full 12 months for reasons such as relocation. Being a contractor this was useful and it happened 8 months into the membership.
