“"Highlighting Kit"”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Solomonf215 on 16/08/2021

In comparison to the Feria balayage kit I previously used, the results were dreadful! It harms the hair and causes yellow/orang highlights.... I tried leaving it no longer or replaying it, but it didn't lift the colour anymore... I was so disappointed...

written by McClurerf465 on 18/01/2020

I haven’t rinsed this out of my hair yet and I hope it makes up for the clusterf@&; I just had in my bathroom. It was so runny that it went everywhere! Red at that. My counter, floor and face. I want to ask for my $ back for the color, a roll of p.towels and a bottle of cleaner...just dammit

“My hair turned black”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Gitana329 on 22/10/2016

I bought intense deep auburn R48 and it turned my hair black. I am very disappointed with this product. Now I am going to have to dye my hair gain. Terrible product and the box pictures gives you false advertisement on how the hair color was supposed to be. I don't recommend this product to anyone. I knew I should have stood with garnier hair color.

“Rubbish product”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Fitzsimmons146 on 04/10/2016

I have just brought and used L'Oréal preference violet vendetta. The colour in the box is an amazing vivid purple. Aftet dying My hair it does not resemble the colour on the box. My hair is practical black with a slight hint of dark red / burgundy in stro g light This a a trade discriprion issue. If I wanred black hair I would have chosen a black dye. Personally I feel this product should be withdrawn from sale or it should state on the box that to achieve this colour you need to have beeches hair. I wold nor recommended this product

“Total waste of money !!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by lillibet1st on 03/07/2015

Purchased the P46 shade....though looked lovely when coloured, within 2 weeks it looked ginger as had washed out that much. The colour even came off on my pillows every night, surprisingly it washed out very easy ! As for the condition it left my hair in it made it so dry. There is nothing permanent about this colour, I thought maybe I had purchased a bad batch, so tried again...same thing happened. I contacted Loreal whose response was use it with our shampoo and conditioner. I stated that I already use Tigi, but surely the hair colour shouldnt wash out literally after 2 weeks.....I did receive £6 in vouchers, despite using 2 bottles. I wish I had read reviews prior to purchase that's for sure, nowni have several weeks of conditioning treatments and grey roots before I can even consider re-colouring. Should have stayed caramel !!!!!

written by Carissa433 on 20/07/2014

Used and loved the colour at the start, then washed hair a day later and loads of colour washed out! Then a few days later more colour washed away down the sink.I am very upset about my hair at the moment it looks a mess!feria is a joke, need to look at your brand in much more detail! as loreal is a good brand leader so we look to you to come up with top results not this sort of low end rubbish?

“didn't like it”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 24/06/2013

I have been going through several different brands in the same or similar shade to see which would work best for me, I have been dying my hair for around 3 years and i usually use live color xxl, I was informed by my usual hairdresser that the feria range had lots of hard wearing, vibrant colours so I went out and bought violet vendetta. I applied the colour to my natural hair, all previous colours had grown out. When the product was on my hair there was a strong unpleasant smell of ammonia which i assumed was just a high quantity due to the vibrancy of the colour. When i washed out the colour i had a lot of red run off (A LOT) i rinsed my hair for around 20 mins. It has been 2-3 weeks since i coloured my hair with this product, some parts of my hair are now a greyish purple while others are brown and some bleach blonde, i have terrible split ends and my hair needs constant conditioning and maintenance, it is ruined.

Thank goodness for online reviews! I was thinking of buying this, but won't bother now. I'm sure some of the permanent hair colours knacker the hair more than they used to years ago, I used to put all sorts of cack on mine with no ill effects!

“Not even on the same colour spectrum as the box suggests”

★★☆☆☆

written by MichelleElaine on 17/06/2013

I love vibrant hair colours, so bought Loreal Feria Violet Vendetta, because, as my hair is a light/medium mousy brown, the examples on the side of the box showed it would show up as vibrant as the front image suggested. How disappointed to find it more of a dark wine colour, fading to a muddy wine colour. You only have to see what colour the water is when you rinse it out to know it's not purple, the run-off looks as red as blood, fading to pink. A proper purple colour is on the blue spectrum, and when I used to dye my hair blue/black, the rinsed run-off was lilac (blue spectrum. I still use this as I've found no alternative to give me a vibrant colour without resorting to bleach (something I can't do as my hair breaks very easily), but I do think Loreal should get their act together - if they're promising purple, they should deliver purple - it can obviously be done, as they do a blue/black.

“Didn't work!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 09/05/2013

Hello, i have the lightest brown hair, almost blonde. (I'm technically a level 8) Now, my hair was colored from level 7 to level eight. But it's so close i figured coloring over wouldn't be a problem. I used palest natural blonde 100. I left it in for a half hour. It didn't do anything but make my hair slightly more red! not blonder at all. I would definitely not recommend to anyone!

You CANNOT use Color to LIFT Color!!! If your hair has been dyed before (and the color is still in the hair) you can't use another color to lift it out.

“A bit off on the color, overall I like it.”

★★★★☆

written by on 06/05/2013

When I used this product, the box had a bright red. Right after I dyed it I was freaking out cause it came out almost a purpley brown. The next day though it faded, and though it is a lot darker than the color on the box I like it. It covers evenly, doesnt do damage, and doesn't fade. It is also realy affordable. I recommend this if you are doing a simple color but avoid the reds if you are really picky. PS Oh yeah and it smells really awful when you are applying it, but I think that goes for pretty much every hair dye there is out there. It also comes out of carpeting well and doesn't stain. ( I am a very messy hair dyer.)

“Worst Dye EVER!!!!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 22/04/2013

I have been dying my hair for the better part of 20 years and have been doing it red by myself for more than a decade now. As anyone out there who dyes their hair red knows, red fades. I had found a dye that worked well for me but had always wondered that if some of the newer formulas would last longer than the 3-4 weeks I was getting out of my present brand. So when the Feria went on sale, (still more than double my normal sale price for the brand I had been using), I decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE!!! The colour was supposd to be auburn deep red...the dye started out bright pink! But knowing how dye works I waited for it to darken a bit and figured it would darken more as time went on...it did. I waited the amount of time in the instructions, then hoped in the shower to rinse, shampoo and condition...which took FOREVER!!! I rinsed the dye itself out for almost 10 minutes, then since the instructions said the 2 part shampoo step would get rid of the excess dye I used it. The suds were bright pink both times, and again after almost another 10 minutes of rinsing the water was still pink. Fed up with waiting to for clear water I used the conditioner...I bearly had enough hot water left to shower the rest of me. When I towelled off I noticed the areas where I had place the first bits of the dye were...well pink! They had this definate pink glisten to them. I left my hair for more than 48 hours before I cleaned it again..it still leached out colour...not even when I used a colour lock conditioner i got from my hairdresser did the leaching stop. Normally when my hair dresser using this conditoner less than 24 hours after using the other brand of dye the white towel is still white when she is done. The colour leaching continued for almost a week! When it finally stopped bleeding out colour...my roots were now back to their original, pre-dye, natural, colour ONLY ONE WEEK LATER!!!! Not to mention dull spots in the overall colour itself...the only oiginal colour still intact are the pink areas that where there when I towel dried! Needless to say I have gone out and bought a box of my previous brand and will be correcting this massive oversight ASAP!

“M33 feria hair color is terrible!! ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 05/04/2013

I have naturally extremely dark hair and to cover up a few streaks of blue that I had in my hair, I decided to just use a bottle of the natural soft black by L'oreal Paris hair color (M33). I followed the directions exactly and when I washed my hair out 25 minutes later it had bleached my roots to a very light brown! and the blue was still visible! I would not recommend this product to anyone. Unless you want roots that are lighter than the length of your hair do NOT buy this product!!

“Not the Color at all!!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 28/03/2013

I purchased the Feria Midnight Violet and the color was completely wrong! It came out bright pinkish/burgandy.. I washed it several times for it to fade a little and it is definatly a burgandy color, not anything like the image on the bottle that looked mostly black with dark purple (not burgandy) highlights. I am extremely unhappy and now have to think about dying it back to a dark brown. Very unsatisfied and would never do this again...

“Colour Doesn't Come Out Properly!”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 20/03/2013

This is the third time I've used this hair dye & each time I think it's come out terrible. I have dark brown hair, so I didn't expect them to come up amazing, but the first one I used was Plum Power & it did show up, but ONLY in the light which is not what I'd expect of a hair dye, second time I used Red Hot Chilli expecting it to come out more red, but if anything it didn't show up at all! Now the third time, I stripped all my hai colour out. It left it a light brown colour & I decided to go for Violet Vendetta this time & my hair basically just looks black with a TINY purpleish tinge to it again ONLY in the light. Very disappointed with these. Won't be buying them again!!!

“Not even close”

★☆☆☆☆

written by marianasalgado on 30/12/2012

I used purple and the color is not even close to what's supposed to look like considering my previous hair color. You can't even tell what it was supposed to look like. It looks red-ish, not even a bright red, just faded out red. Also my hair feels dry and my head itches.

I used this product along time ago,and when i saw what it did to my hair this time i then remembered i didnt like it in the past.

“Fades ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by butterscotchxx on 18/10/2012

Initially, I loved this product. My hair was a GORGEOUS shade and I was so impressed. However, everytime I washed my hair it would fade horribly. I don't wash my hair everyday and my color barely lasted a week. The only other hair coloring brand I have used is Clairol and I would most definitely recommend that brand over this one.

The new formula is exxxxxxtremely drying to the hair. Does anyone else have a suggestion as to what to use instead of Loreal Feria?
