no that is not true , they took my money as well and i have proofs , my tickets still opened untill now and i did not get response or my refund which is 1322 $ ,

I had an account for 3 years with them did 1000s of transactions with them. Then suddenly they closed my account told me my one of my products from the 5000! violated their TOS which it didn't.
I politely was inquiring why it happened and they told me if I continue to ask questions they will keep my money that was on hold with them. It took 5 months before they sent me money after ducting some made up fees plus others.
Funny thing is that still to this day I find literally 1000s of websites selling the same products with 2checkout I guess they don't know whats coming for them.

i had my account with 2checkout and number is 93163. Suddenly without any proof they banned my account and took all my money. Now all my hard earned money is gone and now they are telling my clients that i sold illegal stuff while i was just selling hosting i even told them to email all my clients and confirm what i sold to them but they are just a scam and eat up money.

Never use them i guarantee its a scam company

they are the pits ..

after signing up with them and being informed on the telephone are our accounts set up fee would be refunded it wasnt!


we then intergrated the system with our website and started to take orders.

unaware with most certainly not informed 2 checkout decided to with hold 15% in reserve. no contact about this even it states they discuss this with seller on their terms.they refuse to answer why they had done

all was ok, we had been verified, the sale had been passed,verified and were told payment would be made today. then the excuses start ringing.

we were then told we were still being verified,strange how we have email proof of a satisfactory verifiction from them.

then the tell us they will not be paying out as the order is under fraud screening, the order has already passed fraud screening, 2 checkout even called the customer to verify the goods had been delivered which of course they had been delivered. so i asked why they hadnt paid out? no response from 2 checkout.


worried about other orders we decided to refund 2 customers and then call 2 checkout to ask what they were playing at and why they r playing games with payment.

they then tell us payment will be made xmas day... so i got my friend to call up who is also a merchant and he was told no payments xmas day.

it seems 2 checkout do their best not to pay out and lir to their clients.

i then asked for a manager..said they call me back in 2 hours. no phone call nothing.
emails remains unresponded to.

TO CAP THINGS OFF THEY THEN CLOSED OUR ACCOUNT, NO REASON WHAT SO EVER.



do not use 2 checkout.. they will take your money and then also claim you no rights asper their terms.

I STRESS DO NOT USE THEM,

I would recommend very strongly not use 2co or 2checkout as your online payment processor. They have very ridiculous and stupid system.
1- Your customer places an order and pays through 2co.
2- 2co sends you email confirming the order, passing the payment and asking you to process this order or deliver the service requested by customer.
3- You process that order after 2co confirmation.
4- Your account is charged a processing fee and a percentage of amount is held extra in addition. 2co processing fee and amount to be hold is deducted from your account balance.
5- your payment is held for verification.
6- After few days you come to know that the payment was 100% refunded to customer without any confirmation from you or your company.
7- You contact 2co and get to know that the order was fraudulent or was not actually placed.
8- You get a loss of total ordered amount which you had already processed after you got pass confirmation from 2co.
9- I addition, your account at 2co goes in negative amount. It means you have to pay 2co their processing fee and other charges according to their policy.
10- You call 2co OR submit a ticket OR live chat with their representative, the response you get is that 2co service is 100% good, verification is 100% automatic, fraud system is 100% accurate.

----------------CONCLUSION------------------

a- 2co fraud system is 100% accurate to commit frauds with sellers.
b- Anybody can place an order at website using 2co service and can claim a full refund after receiving the order.
c- 2co will pay full refund to that customer.
d- Seller will never be able to get the money for processed order.
e- 2co is committing 100% accurate frauds with the sellers using its service for online payment processing.
f- You should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use or recommend 2checkout.co or 2co.com for payment processing.

The only reason they got a one star is because this site does not allow for a zero.

When I decided to close my account I found out that they had already closed my account, without my permission. (thats nice, I was operating a web site and no one could purchase anything even if they wanted to) When I asked for the balance.... even after verifying my information they refused to send me my balance. They refused to send a check to the name and address on file. Despite having my main e-mail address, street address and phone number they would not just send a check. Instead they sent an e-mail asserting that I had "unclaimed funds" and my account was closed several months earlier. I would be required to send them a letter with a copy of my ID. When I tried to resolve the issue by going up the ladder, I got the standard BS. Supervisor not available, I cant give you the number, etc. You actually owe us money! Hold on... then a very long wait. I was told that even though they had my correct address phone number and e-mail address on file that they could not send me a check to the name and address on the account unless I filled out additional paperwork and included a copy of my ID. If I did not, they warned me that they would send my money to the state who would take and additional fee.


I would not use them again. If you do a little research you should find out that their problems are much bigger than this!

I used 2checkout as the first processor to startup my business. They were very helpful and responsive during the inquiry and setup process. Once I paid the fee and my first customer purchased all of a sudden queries took days to be responded to I never received my customer's payment.

They called my customer and asked him all sorts of questions. Furthermore they asked him to forward his bank statements and other documents. Eventually he found it was too much hassle and reversed his transaction.

And then after that they had the audacity to call me and demand payment of feel related to the reversal. I searched forums over the net and found that this was a common scenario. Do yourself a favor, Don't use 2checkout!

“I ordered 2checkout software expecting to receive a...”

I ordered 2checkout software expecting to receive a download link immediately so that I could finish programming a website that I'm working on. That was almost 5 hours ago! Now granted, 5 hours is not very long, but I was ordering it expecting to receive the software immediately. However I may have to wait 24 hours or more for to receive the link. I used Paypal to make the order and the payment went through immediately- yet I have to wait for someone to look at my order personally to confirm that I the order is legit. - Paypal has several safeguards in place as it is. I'm sorry - this service just isn't good enough!

The whole point of using the internet to download software is speed. However this payment service defeats the purpose. Do Not Use this service if you are expecting to receive your product or service in a speedy manner.



Waste of time!

They recently (according to them) started accepting PayPal. I paid for a domain from SiteGround and was forced to use them I clicked on PayPal, paid and the payment went through as normal. Then I find that my services from SiteGround (wouldn't recommend them either) were suspended. According to 2CO I used fraudulent information so they refunded. Since it came from PayPal and everything went through normally, it was not fraudulent. (How would they have received the money?) Eight days later and still no refund. They claim it takes 8-10 days however with PayPal it is instant. Plus they said I didn't give them my information, which they don't get when using PayPal. I've turned them into PayPal for asking for personal information, plus over the BBB. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!!

I had to cancel my account due to a change in my website and I changed to Paypal. I advised 2Checkout (2CO) that I need to cancel on January 17, 2006. It is now May 31, 2007. Almost one year and 6 months that they have not refunded my money. I have contacted them on many occasions and they keep telling me that they will refund the money. I don't know what to do any more but to shout over the mountain tops just how unprofessional this company is. I plan on letting the BBB know and will contact a attorney. I have all the detail confirmed and a huge paper trail. Stay away from this company!

“2checkout or "2CO" as they like to call themselves has...”

2checkout or "2CO" as they like to call themselves has been holding the amount of $12,861.92 for over 6 months now, when I questioned them, their response was....

"It appears that your account is still in our verifications process. All new accounts, and accounts that process over 300.00 for the first time, will be subjected to our account verification process. This process is typically done through voice verification with the end user of the service or product. While this process is usually seamless, difficulty in verifying the legitimacy and status of your account can result in the delay of your initial payments."

Now I just received an email from them 4 days ago saying they over paid me and that I have the choice of sending them a check or having them automatically take it out of the $12,861.92..

And "supposedly" I cannot do anything about this because their contract says "you will not hold 2co responsible for any losses associated with your account."

So there is my story. I only hope no one else has the same problem I have had!

This is a warning for all potential 2 Checkout users.
This is what they do

I had my ebook store and sold around 95 ebooks. They saw a problem with that a froze my account without a notice. Everything was legal and it was a legal product (recipes ebook).

They asked for a form to be filled for verification and to be faxed.
I emailed them saying I would do it in 2 days, but I just missed it by a day as I was not well and had chest pains.
What does 2 checkout do? closes my account and refunds all my buyers and now are not willing to even talk or email me
Dear Media Solutions,

The following notes have been added to your account.
Please review this information and take corrective action, if needed by: as soon as possible.

Details: Hello. This account has been closed due to the nonreceipt of the fax that informed us that you would provide us with by end of day yesterday, and due to the fact that you have still not provided us with a copy of your ebook for review. 2CO chooses not to support your account and all orders on the account will be refunded. You will need to find an alternative solution for your business needs. Please do not sign up again. Thank you.



I replied back to them :
I had a terrible heart pain yesterday and due to angiography done 3 months back, everybody in the family advised me not to move out of the house or do any activity.


In the email no where was it mentioned that If I fail to send it in the time frame, all my users will be refunded and my account will be closed


This is what they replied :
I am sorry, but your time frame in which to provide us with the
information that we required has lapsed. Your account has been closed
and all of the orders on the account have been cancelled.

We have had nothing but problems. Mostly 2checkout do not accept orders from our customers - fair enough that they are being careful - but the staff are incredibly rude when you try to get help. The reason is always cited as the customers computer or card problem (according to them about 50% of our customers are fraudsters) but when (as unfortunately frequently happens) the customer then resorts to paying us via Paypal or Moneybookers immediately there is never a problem!

We have used 2 Checkout for over 2.5 years.
4 months ago a wire transfer to our account was never received.

We did not get any satisfactory reply from 2CO support. We asked for proof that the wire transfer had actually been processed from their side so we could ask our bank to follow up, but did not receive any proof or confirmation.

Now the management has stopped replying to my queries and I assume our money is lost. From our correspondence I gather that other users are facing similar problems.

Friends, this is not a case of chargebacks or disputed transactions.

It is hard to accept losing good money from your account.

So I advise everyone to stay away from 2CO. If you already have an account consider moving to a real payment gateway immediately.

I agree with the author that 2checkout's customer support is terrible and they know how to charge you. I also lost money from my account. Stay away from them. At lease use Paypal or find a better one before using 2Checkout.com.

2checkout either do not complete fraud checks or they are incorrect.
Bad fraud checking methods cause orders not to be filled.
Refunds for non-delivery of product are either slow or never happen.
DO NOT use them on your site. DO NOT use them as a purchasing customer.
Their company should be cleaned from the web just as a virus would be on your PC.

I really don't know why I've chosen 2checkout (www.2checkout.com) to begin with. I've had nothing but problems since. The money kept being held for one reason or another, when I tried speaking to them they were very rude and so on. I for one wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

At the beginning 2checkout keep money for what they call "Verification". But after two months it was okay. I think the problem is their low rate of reserve money.

<br/>I have calculated, if I sell 1050 dollars worth of goods between the 1st and 15th of the month, they keep only about 55 dollars as reserve money. According to their schedule, they have to send money on 16th of same month. What happens to the company, if a buyer of a 200 dollar item asks for a refund in the next 12 days, while the next 15 days could not get a sale. Many times I have been surprised with this loophole. Last time I was with CCNow, They sent money after a period of 15 days. Moreover, they keep 10% - 25% as reserve money. So 2checkout also have to do something for their own security. I guess in the beginning they delay the payments for about 1 - 2 months. I can not understand why they do not increase the ratio of reserve money. With regards the receipt of accounts, from 2003, I have received payments regularly into my bank account. Many times due to low sales, I thought they would not send the payment, but they have sent each payment.
