Firstly I am very disappointed at the range of movies shown at our local cineworld. Having initially taken out the unlimited card due to the closeness of the cinema to our house, quite often if we want to see a Bollywood, foreign or slightly niche movie we have to travel an extra 30 miles each way to a different cinema to see it. For those of you who are looking for reviews before you watch a movie/buy a monthly pass for CINEWORLD, please STOPPPPPPPP!!!...i can assure you that its going to be a horrendous experience.. Im an unlimited card holder of 6 years so visit the Cineworld Glasgow quite frequently. Overall i think the unlimited card is great value for money, the cinema is nice, clean, comfortable and the staff are pretty good (had a couple of occasions where i've not been impressed with staff, but nothing major) Only issues i have: One is a common complaint for unlimited card holders which is the not being able to pre book. Chesterfield 25/06/2011 If you live in Chesterfield then you are kind of stuck with over priced local facilities but this cinema has extremely bad service. As others have said, you have to buy tickets at the good counter, and with only one or two very average staff, it takes ages to get served, even if you just want a ticket. Myself and 4 other members of my family have had unlimited cinema cards for over 4 years. I have paid in total for the full 4 years over 3000 pounds. However the counter where you used to purchase tickets from, has now been closed and tickets are available from the food kiosk (which is a pain when there is a queue for people only wanting refreshments in front of you). Just returned from another horrendous experience as Cineworld. Took my 2 small children to see Shrek. When we got there the queue was enormous, as usual only 1 person working. Why only have one person working on a Saturday!, I queued for 20 minutes to be told when I was finally served this was now sold out. There was nothing else showing that was suitable for my children. I then had to pay for parking for not even seeing a film.

I have had an unlimited card since 2003 and for the first time I am considering not renewing for the following reasons:
-The unlimited card does not allow you to pre-book so for blockbuster movies you have to go the cinema really early to ensure a seat. There have been times when I decided to pay online (even if I have a card) to make sure I had a place because I couldn't be there an hour before.

Every time I have been to Cineworld something has been wrong. Generally it is the quality of the service; it is normally slow, ungracious and quite frankly unprofessional. I queued for nearly 40 mins one day for a film, it wasn't a long queue but there was only one person serving while a manager sat in the next booth/till teaching a new member of staff how to work everything - don't get me wrong, I know everyone has to learn etc etc but at a peak time probably isn't the ideal moment. I have had an unlimited card for 3 years and have only ever used it at the great Cineworld at Ashton Moss. I have always found the screens clean and the seats comfortable with good picture and sound even in the smaller screens. Film choice is excellent with so many screens. I only ever buy coffee as popcorn and soft drinks are always ludicrously priced no matter which cinema you go to. I have just spent the afternoon at cineworld brighton once again it was a pretty awful experience we had to buy tickets from the same place as people get there sweets/food just one guy serving it took ages to get our tickets and we were late for the start of the film, there was no heating [and it was cold] I went to get a hot dog was told not ready yet but when I went back 15 mins later was told they were not doing hot dogs I couldn't believe it,the place is badly run they cut down on staff… Read Full Review

Went to see Avatar in 3D. Picture quality was rubbish. Had brown tinge and none of the beautiful colours came out. I had seen Avatar previously in an IMAX cinema - what a difference. I will definately not got to watch 3D films at the Aberdeen Union Square.

The Enfield Cineworld branch has the most consistently appalling customer service of any place I've ever been. The queues are frequently enormous, which is to be expected at peak times, but the cinema does not bother to increase the number of staff on the ticket desks to help with this! Another reviewer has complained that the staff aren't overly friendly, just focussed on selling tickets as quickly as possible. i liked the film when i went to see it but when we got in we where toold to go into a diffrant cinima and we got kick out :(
but then next time i went with my friends perfect service but then...
4 boys behind me kept pelting me and my friends with popcorn and did not get kicked out

Took my children to see Shrek 4. It was the worst experience of my life, Most of the screens were showing the overpriced 3D version. Only had one screen which showed the 2D version and then it was only showed twice a day.

I'm sorry I still go to this cinema because its the old one for miles with parking, and my other half has a free film card. But the service has to be worst in the world, never enough staff at the right times, the cinemas are often out of order or the sound is all over the place. and usually nothing but the smallest notice to tell you there is a problem with the film so you buy a ticket sit in the film watch 20 mins thinking your going mad and walk out to find your not going mad and the usher… Read Full Review

Cineworld is absolute rubbish. I could no longer afford to pay for my unlimited card so I called up to cancel it over a month ago and was told I couldn't cancel it. I then found their email address a couple weeks ago and asked for my plan to be canceled because I couldn't afford the unlimited plan anymore.
