Written on: 10/11/2010

I have just spent the afternoon at cineworld brighton once again it was a pretty awful experience we had to buy tickets from the same place as people get there sweets/food just one guy serving it took ages to get our tickets and we were late for the start of the film, there was no heating [and it was cold] I went to get a hot dog was told not ready yet but when I went back 15 mins later was told they were not doing hot dogs I couldn't believe it,the place is badly run they cut down on staff… Read Full Review

Went to see Avatar in 3D. Picture quality was rubbish. Had brown tinge and none of the beautiful colours came out. I had seen Avatar previously in an IMAX cinema - what a difference. I will definately not got to watch 3D films at the Aberdeen Union Square.

Written on: 18/08/2010

The Enfield Cineworld branch has the most consistently appalling customer service of any place I've ever been. The queues are frequently enormous, which is to be expected at peak times, but the cinema does not bother to increase the number of staff on the ticket desks to help with this! Another reviewer has complained that the staff aren't overly friendly, just focussed on selling tickets as quickly as possible. I have never noticed the ticket desk staff being in a hurry to do anything. They… Read Full Review

Written on: 10/07/2010 by simon2010 (1 review written)

Took my children to see Shrek 4. It was the worst experience of my life, Most of the screens were showing the overpriced 3D version. Only had one screen which showed the 2D version and then it was only showed twice a day.
As with all cinemas food was way overpriced and the drinks are about three quaters full with ice, so I gave it back and asked for one without ice, this request was met with a disgusted grunt from the employee. The floor of the screen room was covered in litter and the seat… Read Full Review

Written on: 08/04/2010 by JodieMuggs (7 reviews written)

I'm sorry I still go to this cinema because its the old one for miles with parking, and my other half has a free film card. But the service has to be worst in the world, never enough staff at the right times, the cinemas are often out of order or the sound is all over the place. and usually nothing but the smallest notice to tell you there is a problem with the film so you buy a ticket sit in the film watch 20 mins thinking your going mad and walk out to find your not going mad and the usher… Read Full Review

Written on: 24/03/2010

Cineworld is absolute rubbish. I could no longer afford to pay for my unlimited card so I called up to cancel it over a month ago and was told I couldn't cancel it. I then found their email address a couple weeks ago and asked for my plan to be canceled because I couldn't afford the unlimited plan anymore. I never recieved a response so I thought it was canceled. I check my bank account today and I had been charged for it. I then called up to complain and the manager canceled it for me but not… Read Full Review

Everything was good apart from a rubbish staff that upset one of my friend by asked us to leave the cinema forcefully while we done nothing wrong. I know it was wrong that my friend were unhappy about the situation and swore about it but while we tried to calm her down, the stupid ticket guy ask us to leave with threaten word, i would like to go back to cinema again but only if the idiot not works there anymore… Read Full Review

Written on: 21/07/2009

Cineworld is the only cinema in Ipswich; making it quite hard to compare to others. Although the refreshments are insanly overpriced they are of good quality and the large popcorns and drinks are good value. The seats are OK but some of them are ripped, the drink holders broken and some of the seats are wobbly. The tickets are over priced; like most things in the cinema, also if going, without looking online first, can be potentially problematic because the prices are so high you wouldnt know how… Read Full Review

Cinema is a short walk from the DLR and has a Car Park next door, though this can be expensive. Never seem to have to queue to buy tickets but if you want to buy food tahts a different story. the queue for popcorn and drinks is always long.
the screens are comfortable. overall a good cinema and reasonably priced… Read Full Review

Written on: 17/02/2009 by Film 2000 (4 reviews written)

Milton Keynes Cineworld is very comfortable with a good choice of films. Problem is every sole in Milton seems to spend their weekend evenings in tyhe place. Its packed evry weekend. You have to queue to buy tickets, then to buy food and then to pass through to the screens. Maybe more staff are needed, or not to start all the films at athe same time! Parking is cheap if you park in the correct colured areas. I advise to book online and collect the ticekts from the self service machines. only… Read Full Review

Written on: 17/02/2009 by Film 2000 (4 reviews written)

Cineworld in Rugby always has ample free parking, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the films on offer. I have never had to queue either to buy tickets or to egt through to the correct screen, though sometimes there can be a queue for drinks and food (why do cimenas now offer fresh filter coffee that takes over 5 minutes to make!). The seats are comfortable and the food is priced as expensively as ant other cinema chain. Though the ice cream concession is over priced. I would… Read Full Review

Cineworld, Stockport is Cheaper then most cinemas.
Has all the main films showing.
Never that busy, but the screens are too small.
The seats are worse then economy class on an aircraft - FAR worse for that matter.
My popcorn was cold and tasteless. … Read Full Review

Written on: 17/01/2009 by Jackeroo (1 review written)

Cineworld cinema seating is not particularly comfortable, parking is expensive nearby, the food & drinks are expensive and not that good quality (not much vegetarian options) - they are obviously out to make as much money as possible at the expensive of customer service and quality. Sometimes the quality of the films aren't that great either...and sometimes the heating is off or the air conditioning is off which is annoying and uncomfortable. (at West India Quay). The Unlimited Card is good… Read Full Review

Film 2000's Response to 433117_Jackeroo's Review

Written on: 17/02/2009

I disagree with this review because...on all occasions I have visited the toilets have all been in action. ALso the seats are always comfortable. I do agree that there are always large queues to buy food and drink. I ahve never used the car park as the cinema is a two minute walk from a DLR station!

Written on: 24/07/2008 by Hannah88 (1 review written)

On the whole Cineworld offers a poor service in a competitive market, they offer a lot in advertising but in reality the customer is paying over the odds for what they can get at the local independent cinemas, which offer a better customer service and don't really get bums on seat for blockbuster movies. I have cancelled my subscription to the 'Unlimited Card' as have most of my friends as we realised that the cinema was making money for nothing as most people working 9-5 do not benefit for… Read Full Review

Written on: 13/03/2008 by midlifecrises (3 reviews written)

Ipswich Cineworld. I had bought a monthly Unlimited pass for my 12 year old son. After 6 months, he was refused entry to a 12 certificate film, and when he put me on the phone to them, the staff refused to check his age on their registered details (which when I later called the help centre, was exactly what they were supposed to do - the whole point of the age registration and photocard being precisely this). The oik on the phone called me 'mate' and seemed to have no idea of customer… Read Full Review
