Very good service at a reasonable price. Very pleased overall. Just one minor thing is that options for term of hosting site in the sense that it skips from 1 year to 5 years and nothing in between. So I paid for 1 year but maybe would like to have done 2 or 3 years but not able as there not option to do that. Apart from that aside said I'm very happy with product.

Domain and service not needed any more due to change of business plans, but while it was used the service from 5quid was great...I will return next time I need hosting, Than ks.

free package includes php, cgi, mysql database and 100 megs of transfer bandwidth. I mean for free it's a deal you cant beat.

Service is amazingly great, admin and support communication is clear, well spelled and fast enough. Nice UK company, speed is good all over and PHP services are well supported. You won't find any better elsewhere, believe me, I've scraped the bowels of the internet until I found this. No chat support as of now, but this can change. So for 2016, 5quidhost is the best free hosting available! Please be kind and do not abuse the system, and thus destroy the party for everyone else. Use some common sense. Again for paid and even free hosting the best in class is 5quidhost for 2016. Let's hope they keep it this way! Cheers

I have been with 5QuidHost' for over 6 years and only once (briefly) considered switching due to response times, but that turned out to be due to another site running scripts they shouldn't be and was promptly fixed - just like any other problem I ever had (generally due to lack of knowledge). The '5QuidHots' (pun intended) Support always goes above and beyond what I actually expect of them. Have cracked my head to find something I dislike about them and I can't. As a customer, I feel welcome whenever I contact them. They understand what they are doing and most importantly are able to answer any questions I have plus they always provide related information that needs to be considered. But not with lengthy template template replies... short: "Here's what you need to know for this... and if you are doing this, you also need to look at this." IMHO, with 5QuidHost, you get more than you pay for.

While it's been easy to order, it's been impossible to speak to a support staff. The submitting of a support ticket doesn't work from my account. And your FAQ doesn't provide any useful information.

I've been using 5quidhost for several years now, graduating through the free site, through the £5 per month service to an everlasting plan. I host several blogs as add-on domains to the main account and the support team was excellent in helping me through a few problems I had in doing this a couple of years ago. But that's not what I want to comment on here. I've just installed a rather cool plugin that synchronises my Adobe Lightroom catalogue with my Wordpress photoblog - moments-like-these.uk - but I had a few problems with xmlrpc calls and the support team were absolutely excellent in sticking with me through to a resolution. I can't praise them highly enough. Really excellent support. If you want a UK-based hosting service give them a chance to impress you as well.

Most impressed by the support received. 5quidhost gave clear guidance and even intervened to solve issues I did not seem capable of dealing with. I like to think I am getting better at this web stuff but it is reassuring to know that there is an effective support team to solve problems.

I have been with 5quidhost for four years now and so far I have not had any problems. It is important to be familiar with cPanel. I am mainly a mac user and required help from a friend who is internet literate in order to upload my website. I use template based software as I do not have complex requirements, mainly information. Great value for money.

I've been using 5quidhosting for a number of years now. I started with the free plans and have moved onto hosting a number of paid plans with them too. The service is great. I am a techie and you can do anything you need with this in terms of hosting. I've never had any availability issues (that I've noticed), and in the few occasions I've had to raise support tickets the guys/girls have been prompt, pleasant and knowledgable. I recommend them to anyone looking for hosting services.

They may be nameless and faceless (and ever so slightly Scottish!) but the support and service beats anything else I have found out there. I started with a basic account and have just moved from a Turbo platform to a VPS. Throughout it all the support has been outstanding. If like me you work odd hours and occasionally crash your sites in the middle of the night then you will appreciate the fact that help is never far away (even in the wee hours), and in my experience has a 100% record of fixing the problem quickly and properly.
