Just traded in my 2012 Bonneville in on a 2016 America. While the Bonny looked great, I was never comfortable riding it. It sat very high and had a high center of gravity. It always felt like it was ready to slide out from under you. The America on the other hand is perhaps the best balanced bike I've ever ridden. It feels weightless but you know you are riding a big bike. It is effortless to ride. A couple of quirky things you have to get used to. The 883 engine requires a bit more throttle to get it going. Also, you have to run the gears up a bit higher. I spend a lot more time in 1st and 2nd gear than on my Harley Road King. All in all however a terrific bike. I would ride it any distance.

I just recently purchased a 2006 from PJ's Triumph of Albuquerque. I was literally sold from the test drive. I have never had such a comfortable ride in my life! I also have a 1998 Triumph Trophy 900 and this America is like a night and day difference as far as comfort and ergonomics. The Trophy cuts the wind much more efficiently, and picks up speed much faster with a higher top out speed. Thats about it. The America has a much better feel on the seat, pegs and grips. The America feels like it corners much better and overall I feel like I have much more control in general on the America. The astoundingly high amount of chrome on the America is what really put me over the top. I am super happy with this bike and will most likely end up selling off the Trophy and focus on my New Baby :^)

Just did a 1,000 2-up road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with no problems. I purchased the bike new last summer and added saddlebags and a windscreen. I have had no mechanical issues during the first 11,000 miles. It also draws a good deal of attention wherever I go. I like the quiet engine and it seems to handle very well for a cruiser although I have scraped the foot pegs on several occasions. The one thing I don't like are the plastic fenders which look and feel cheap compared to the rest of the bike. There has been no problem with torque or horsepower.

Excellent bike; comfortable, smooth and sufficient power to enjoy the ride. Best fuel range 195miles on a tank.
Very disappointed with the alloy components; wheels, headstock corroding under the lacquer.
Truimph fitted alarm does not like being caught out in a rain storm and will cut in/out at a moments notice.

I'm a set up tech at a Honda,Yamaha,American Iron Horse dealer. I personally test ride every bike we sell as well as all trade ins, and the America is my bike of choice.
The build quality is well ahead of anything else on the market, In my experience the handling, comfort and power are as good or better than anything else in its class.Plus my boss just loves that I ride something we don't sell.lol. Genuine Triumph accessories are reasonably priced in comparison to other O.E. parts and their workmanship is top notch.
The only drawback I see is (at least in my area) a limited dealer network. Overall my favorite bike out of the 15 or so I've owned and the countless bikes I've ridden.

The Triumph Bonneville America bike has it all...looks, style, build quality and great handling. As a cruiser it is eyecatching and comfortable plus it looks like it cost twice the actual price so it's great value too. Nuff said.

I am echoing most of the recent comments about the Triumph Bonneville America, a well built bike, great handling, great power and superb looks (I own the Pacific Blue n New England white). 2007 model, 865bhp.

Great bike. I own a harley ultra classic, which I love, but this bike is a blast. The Bonneville America handles great, has plenty of power, and is comfortable too. Great value for a unique bike. Draws more attention then my chromed out Harley.

The Triumph Bonneville America is great value for money - British Craftsmanship of high standard- looks the Dogs'.....
and it's a Triumph which speaks for itself
Well done the guys at Hinkley!! Good looks - great ride. Only bad point is without after market parts - engine sound is lacking

All in all the Triumph Bonneville America is the best bike out there between 650 and 1000 CC. Believe me I shopped! I love mine. Handling is a joy and comfort levels are high. Great bike! Bad point is it's too whisper quiet, could use a little more putt putt in the exhaust. I do wish they would have belt driven her to...the crud and constant need for lubrication I could do without. One more gear would be nice on the freeway as well.

I have clocked up around 20,000 kms in 12 months and have loved every minute of it. My wife and I toured the South Island, New Zealand 2 up with all our gear and held our own with the 2007 Harley Street Bob we were touring with.

Very comfortable on long journeys, the power is delivered smoothly with no flat spots or peaks. Triumph have kept the nostalgic retro look without compromising on performance and reliability. For anyone who likes Brittish Motorcycling but are also drawn to the laid back American cruzer scene this bike is a must have, it not only looks good but with the addition of Triumph slashed silencers it sounds HOT too!

What a wonderful ride, best bike I have had. Seat is fantastic. Motor hardcore. Looks incredible.

It is the natural refinement of the Bonneville which was very popular when I was in high school. It brings me back there and then some, but it also has something the old Bonny did not and that is the hybrid American cruiser/British standard look which Is so unique.

It's just a fab bike to ride. A pleasure to ride. Plenty of power for me. After-market pipes and removal of air injection mechanism gives it a helluva street presence. Likes to be laid down through the curves and steering is precise. It's a keeper!

This Triumph Bonneville America is a real head turner. A pleasure to ride and never misses a beat. My wife and I recently clocked up over 1200 kms, 2 up with luggage and it performed and handled extremely well with no noticeable loss of power. Sounds awesome with aftermarket pipes. Gets more attention than the Harleys.

I love this bike. It is fun, fun, fun to ride. Riding in the country, carving the curves, two up,in town, doesn't matter. Great pride of ownership factor. Handling, good power, styling, fun to ride or just look at.
