We were eagerly anticipating our meal at The Hutt Chef & Brewer restaurant, as we sat in lovely surroundings, but we were both seriously disappointed. Not wanting to spoil our evening, we ploughed on regardless, but half way through our meal we had to admit defeat and confess to really not enjoying ...

To be honest, if I wrote this review a couple of years ago I would have given The Swan (Chef & Brewer) restaurant in Ash Vale higher marks. Perhaps familiarity breeds content, but I am a bit bored of the place now. The specials menu is not very special, in that it nearly always stays the same! Havin ...

I ordered a meal from the The Hut 'specials board' - chicken skewers on a bed of salad with chilli dip. Costing £9.95. I got 3 skewers, on a tiny bit of salad, with no more than 2 tiny pieces of tomato.

No one asked us if we were enjoying our meal, neither did the waiter ask us anything wh ...

It was my first time in the stated pub which I visited with a group of my colleagues. We sat in a table next to the rear exit door which had an ashtray - we did not brought it later - and we ordered our morning refreshments. The area in which we were located had our ten tables. At one table in our r ...

The "specials" are far more interesting than the normal menu and show a good variety of food, but it seems that there is a constant problem with chefs and food preparation. My wife's salmon fishcake served to her this week was "deep fried" with a solid poached egg on the top, it resembled eating oil ...

I would recommend the Wellington Hotel for a meal. This Chef & Brewer pub has a lovely quaint atmosphere, with an "olde worlde" village type feel. Candle light and a log fire welcome you on arrival, and the dining area certainly has a relaxing feel to it. The extensive menu available offers a wide-r ...

We waited for an hour and a half to be served. The meal consisted of burned black lamb chops, which had been turned over not to show the underside, which was more burned than the top! My partners lamb fore shank was also burned on the one side and placed on watery mashed potatoes. The side vegetable ...

On 23rd October, a group of 11 of us arrived in Warrington after travelling a distance of 280 miles and a journey which took over 6 hours. The Swan, a Chef & Brewer Restaurant, was recommended so we decided to eat there. On arrival the restaurant seemed very busy. We spoke to a young man who seemed ...

The Hutt used to be such a great place for a mid-week meal. Now the food is disgusting. Last night I had a mushroom pasta dish floating in brown mushroom water with cooked rocket appearing as gunge and a chicken dish floating in a red tasteless gravy. Specials are no longer regularly changed. Staf ...
