In the past my family and I have enjoyed the excellent
service provided by Chef Brewer. However, on Saturday 25 April 09
we had lunch along with a party of other guests at Cross Roads
Weedon. There were fewer guests than originlly booked for but we still had to wait over an hour for the food. The r ...

Avoid like the plague if you are a vegetarian! I ordered asparagus, brie and mushroom pie with pototoes and veg from Chef & Brewer, The Hut in Ravenshead. When my meal arrived it came with no gravy. I assumed with it being a pie and veg it would automatically come with gravy but I was wrong. I a ...

Monday the 2nd i visited the chef and brewer in goring by sea. We had to wait approximately 55 minutes for a burger (which may i say wasn't very well prepared) i thought was discusting and my complaint seemed to come to nothing.

Decided to give the Shire Horse at Maidenhead a try after recommendation from a work colleague. Food arrived promptly but was completely overcooked (dried out), tasteless and the portions were very small for the money. Our serving staff appeared indifferent and not overly helpful. Good parking and ...

This Chef and Brewer has got very much better in 2008 and the staff are very customer-orientated, doing all in their power to make an evening there very enjoyable.
The Chef turned out some super dishes, nicely and perfectly cooked and also well presented.
Drinks are served properly and professio ...

Nice quaint surroundings but food was extremely mediocre and very bland. I was very disappointed as this was our Christmas get together and the poor food spoilt it.

Usually the waitress comes back after a few minutes and asks how the meal is, but I think she must have been embarrased to serve such below standard food. I complained but there was no apology and no money off the bill. A waste of £20!!

I was leading a small group of people on a walk on Saturday November 1st and recommended we go to the Romper Ringway Cheshire. Unfortunately nobody really enjoyed their meal.
The baked potatoes were almost inedible as the skin was hard and the filling cold. The fish and chips were also just warm a ...

At Chef and Brewer I experienced rubbery sole; soggy, slimy carrots; tasteless undercooked cauliflower, cold cabbage. The worst meal I have ever tried to eat.
On complaining we were met with no apology just a lot of self-justification. I would rather burn £40 than spend it on this.

Poor reception when we entered, very long waits at the bar to order and to get food with no apology. Food was not very hot and salmon dried out. After meal we had to sit with our plates in front of us for half an hour and they were only picked up when I moved them to another table. Another long wait ...
