I would never insure with Budget car insurance again. All well and good the whole time you don't have to claim as they are cheap, but if you have to claim, as I did (someone drove into the side of me), then they are an absolute nightmare.

Car insurance is the biggest pain in the backside ever!! The call centre drives me mad, but the websites are always slow. Even worse is when the call centre is clearly in Bangladesh!!

Very badly organised. Store wrong information. Automatically renew insurance, even if you don't want it, and Budget Car Insurance then send threatening letters to recover money. Poor customer service, and very slow to resolve claims, even when they are not your fault.

I have been with Budget car insurance for about 8 years, and I have had no problems. No other insurer can beat their renewal, so I don't even bother ringing around these days. They are a brilliant insurer.

I scanned for a car insurance company, and out of 92 companies that I looked at I found Budget car insurance to be the best. If and when I am looking to renew my insurance, I will follow the same procedure. I will however stop any payment through my bank, if and when I decide to leave them.

Budget car insurance are one of those companies that force you to call and cancel your renewal, otherwise they will automatically take your money.

I much preferred dealing with Direct Line car insurance who I use for another car. When I sold the car and came to cancel for 38% of the year, I was returned only 19% of my premium from Budget car insurance. There was something in the small print - beware!
