“Never ordering fro DP again !”

So... it looks like I'm just one of many who have returned items and haven't received a refund . I sent my return on the 22 December via Hermes ( who are also shocking ..they have lost 2 other of my returns and one order from other companies) . Hermes have not updated tracking and seem to have lost my return . I won't be ordering from sites who use Hermes again either . I've emailed Dorothy Perkins 4 times and no further with my refund . You can't contact by phone either ..just email . Some companies use covid as an excuse for poor customer service ...looks like DP is one of them.

“Beverley branch, Yorkshire. Customer service terrible!”

Visited Beverley today.Popped into Dorothy Perkins. Young sales assistant very helpful saying we could reserve a coat for 2hours behind the counter, but when approaching counter a male Manager with attitude said no we don't reserve sale items, so rude! Put the item straight back on rail & left disgusted. Dorothy Perkins is that you call good customer Service?!

“Non Existant customer service - DO NOT BUY ONLINE !!”

Ordered shoes online from Dorothy Perkins who decided to deduct the money twice ! No response to emails, nobody seems to answer the telephone either as you will always be on hold for at least 30 minutes. The sooner this business goes bust the better as it is run very unprofessionally.

“No Customer Service ”

Sent two email to the CEO with regards to a complaint and never got a response to either. Didn't even get a response from their customer complaints department either. Just show how they value you as a customer.

“Ordered on line - sent back - incorrect refund - ”

I ordered items on line. Sent back the unwanted items back and adhered to all of their terms and conditions. They have only refunded for two items out of the 7 times that were sent back. This was on the 11 th January. Now it is the 28 th January. You can't get through to their customer services. I tried emailing and the template response was to take it back to top shop? But iv already sent the items back. Now on hold, have tried emailing again. When it goes wrong like in my case there seems no way to sort it out. Save your money and your time shop somewhere else. I like their clothes but the postal returns when it goes wrong you can't seem to sort it out.

iv called and been told it could take up to 28 days for a refund. They are not able to explain what they delay is.

ok now i am being told that even though my on line account shows a refund for two of the items. It is not actually a refund. And they don't know why it is showing on my online account. None of the items have been refunded. I need to wait 28 days and if no refund by then, then I have to email my postal receipt to them and they they will look at refunding the items. If you read my review you can decide for yourself if you would like to use this service.

“pricey but worth the price for the quality.”

I shop in this store often and always find items in my size (18) everything fits well not always does it suit me but thats down to how it looks on me rather than the store. I have just purchased an item online for the first time and it fits well and looks nice, was fast delivery too so Im happy.

“shocking customer service”

Staff at Alfreton store in Derbyshire have an appalling attitude, I have to buy on line as they do not stock my size in store and once I returned items I was told "you should return these on line, you're putting us out of jobs". recently went in to hear 2 staff members who thought I couldn't hear stating "she returns everything". Still waiting a week later for a manager to call me about this from "customer services". Seems customer service is bad across the board with this company!

“Return ”

I spent a whole evening trying to return a coat ordered online. Though I ordered my size, it did not correspond at all. It was huge. I took it into the store and the sales assistant did not want to give me the money saying it's a special type and can be returned only by post. I found out by myself that collect + was also an option and I tried to obtain the return number online but it was not possible because in their system it said that the coat has to be collected though I had collected it. They don't answer the phone saying that it is high demand. On top of this it takes between 14 and 28 days to receive your money back after returning the item. Ordering online from Dorothy Perkins was the mistake of my life.

Bought a dress after reading some reviews, which made me think I'd made a mistake. This is the first time I'd ordered on line. Dress came 2 days after ordering it, it's absolutely lovely. Fits really nice,colour exact like it is on web, would Deffinately recommend. Only thing it can be a bit see through so wouldn't wear dark undies!

“Shockingly bad customer service”

Being a new online customer, I had a 10% discount code (plus others). At checkout put in the code and on an order for £123, I got £4 off. Immediately after checkout I emailed customer service with my reference numbers and codes. Had one brief reply saying form was blank and since then I've emailed them (getting acknowledgement "we will contact you within 72 hours" and that's it. I tried to phone them before my order was despatched, left on hold, as it was a chargeable phone line and then gave up. Finally, I printed off my emails a week ago and posted it to them. Still no reply. Dreadful service and I won't be shopping there again!

“US customers beware - they don't care about you”

I am a Brit/American who recently moved from London to New York and I also had a terrible experience with Dorothy Perkins. I wanted to replace my jeans and ordered exactly as the label read without checking the size chart (I didn't think I needed to). They ordered a 10 and they sent a 14. I thought they made a mistake, but apparently when shipping to the US they automatically convert the sizing. There's nothing I can do except pay $50+ to return ship or keep the merchandise I cannot wear. I was intending to re-order the correct size, but now I don't want to deal with them at all. What further angered me was that they are not running a proper US operation, but rather some confused mix. They don't have US customer service (but rather the typical rude UK call line), don't exchange and won't subsidize international shipping costs. Their operator was rude ("computer says no") and actually asked me if I was 4 hours behind (what? no one in the US is 4 hours behind the UK) and when they said a supervisor was not available but could call me later, they called me at 5:30am the next morning. I don't see why anyone in the US would ever shop with Dorothy Perkins. They don't permit exchanges and require you to return to the UK at your own expense. There are so many great competitor options domestically, I would strongly advise not to shop with them.

“Ridiculed my husband when he collected my order”

Been using DP for some 20 years, I made 3 orders over the last 2 weeks and my husband went in to get my click and collect order. When he went in there he passed the printed confirmation and the woman replied "you dont look like a Sarah", obviously not he replied, "well you aren't a woman so why are you pretending to be one". There was 4 assistants behind the desk and they found it hilarious, my husband didn't. He complained to the manageress who sorted the order out but did not apologise. How disgusting in this day and age that a man cant go into a womans clothes shop to collect something for his partner without such behaviour. You've lost my custom, I'm disgusted.

“Horrendous Customer Service”

I bought a pair of boots from this website. While trying to choose a size, the sizing chart supplied was useless and didn't supply any measurements as to what constitutes a size 9 for them. It did say that US sizes are standard, and that shipping is not only free but "hassle free," so I took their word for it and ordered my size 9. I received the shoes, and even though they were marked appropriately, they were not a size 9. They were clearly a 10. It would have cost me sixty dollars to ship them back to exchange for a smaller size and when I asked if they would honor this (their website states they will reimburse shipping charges) they refused and said "there's a sizing chart on our website, so technically your item is not faulty or incorrect." I have never dealt with such indifference in customer service. They simply don't care. This is my most awful online shopping experience and I've been purchasing online for years.

“poor service mis-sized item came with makeup on them”

I really wish I would have read this before I ordered. these items claimed to be size 8 US and they are really about a size 2. the quality is poor and they do mislead you one the return shipping giving you the impression it is free and easy. it is not free and shipping to uk cost more than the items are worth. they are like walmart quality. the one already had makeup on it and was so small. the one I ordered a size 10 I was swimming in so who knows what size to get. the customer service is smug I think they think it is funny to send American's small clothes to insinuate we are too fat. I am glad I am not the only angry person here and clearly the "texas 5 star review" is a fake..no one from texas says "overseas" and there is no way they got it 3 days it took two weeks.

“Quick and Easy”

I was a little reluctant to order from Dorothy Perkins online because I had read bad reviews on the internet and they are located over seas (I live in Texas). I decided to take a chance anyways and I am glad I did. The dress came in the size I ordered and it's lovely. I ordered my dress on Thursday (July 25) and received it in the mail Monday (July 29)! It came so quick which I didn't expect from other reviews but it's here. Shipping was so quick for me it was worth the $10 (the blanket cost for all shipping). I definitely recommend DP!

“Wrong product and terrible Customer Service”

First problem-- I bought shoes in a size US 8-- I received a size US 9. I checked my order confirmation over and over to make sure it wasn't my mistake, it was clearly their mistake and they sent me the wrong size. I emailed them 10 times, and called another 10 times! I NEVER got a response, not a sorry, not an answer-- -NOTHING! I will never buy from this site again. They sent the wrong product and never responded. Sure you can get things cheap--but seems like a gamble. I think there are more reliable sites to get discounted items. I will never buy from them again. I would give 0 stars if I could!
