“Christmas Food Not Delivered ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by DebraKaren on 21/12/2022

On October 28th I booked a delivery for December 20th for between 8pm & 9pm. At 8.50pm on the 20th December I received a call from the driver to say they were running an hour behind due to an issue with a lorry. This was the last I heard and my shopping, CHRISTMAS FOOD SHOPPING, failed to arrive. This morning (December 21st) I spent over half an hour on hold to customer services who were beyond useless and couldn’t even get through to the depot responsible. Offered me a £10 voucher off my next shop, which won’t be used as I’ll never give them another penny, and dropped the bombshell it could take 10 days for me to get my money back. I’ve sent several emails and not one has been replied to. So, no food for Christmas and no money to go elsewhere and buy from there. Utterly disgraceful ‘service’.

“Insensitive annoying security ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by TerrellRogers160 on 26/03/2022

There it is the insensitive, unprofessional and annoying security that works at Morrisons in the Merrion Centre Leeds. Lots of people have taken the trolley out of the shop and into the centre and have also left their trolley outside near the road of the Merrion centre. On this particular Saturday my son had a trolley which he took to a store opposite Home Bargains next to Morrisons then the security guy came and grabbed the trolley saying it has to be in the store. I responded with shock at his approach indicating we are going to be shopping at Morrisons but we just needed to get on extension cord from the phone store and then get out shopping to return to our home. Seeing it was a hot day we thought we’ll get the unfrozen foods etc and then when we get the frozen it will just be a matter of getting home. But he this guy didn’t want to know. My son and my daughter didn’t manage to have a good shopping experience as we just got a few frozen foods in our hands with no trolly and left. When we got outside the centre there was more than ten trolleys outside by the curb. So my question is if they don’t put up sign about these trolleys out people will be hurt about this. And also if other people is leaving trolleys outside of the centre how do they do so if they aren’t allowed to take it out of the store. Dissatisfied and disappointed ☹️ we did return a trolley we found outside to the security guy and guess who had the last laugh when I asked the manager if we should bring the trolleys inside. She says no need and then a staff member quickly gathered the stray trolley back inside the store. What a joke!

“Two fingers at the till”

★☆☆☆☆

written by SHH37 on 04/08/2021

I was disgusted that a mainstream store should put the FCUK brand - I think it's a fashionable double entendre for the two fingers - right at the counter. I left my shopping and walked out, and have never been back. That was in Poynton.

“Price the offers”

★★★☆☆

written by ZacharyShields on 10/12/2020

Price the offers {everything else too) I lose out on things because I don't have time to keep searching for staff to ask prices of things. Also, please acknowledge the staff that give 100% not the ones that refuse to do certain jobs and take their whole shift doing one job where it takes others 10 minutes. Employ more staff.

“apauling ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by firebyrd on 18/11/2019

Went into a Morrisons and used the self-checkout, the assistant ran after me and said my card had been declined we went to security and showed them my receipt yet he still said I had to pay for the goods from the machine that I had not even used saying it was mine. I refused. Also, I find their products have been going up regular in price and quality going down many fresh items going rotten after just 2 days, the self-service checkout staff are almost none existent and when the red light flashes they either just stand there or walk past ignoring you I have walked out so many times leaving my goods because staff don't attend. They also allow people to put children in the carts with dirty shoes after they have been standing in who knows what then the next person has to put their food in it, you tell the staff and they simply don't care its a health and safety issue and ignore you. This is not just one store but different ones around the country. Do I need Morrisons, No I have plenty of other stores to choose from and from now on I will never go in any Morissons again.

“Warning MORE card is not safe”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ivelina on 27/06/2019

I had been saving up my points on the More card for over a year. My account was hacked and £65 was stolen. Morrisons took weeks to respond to anxious calls and e mails. Then they said my e mail account had been hacked so nothing to do with them and the money was lost. I pointed out even if my e mails were hacked the More card had a seperate log in password etc so how did they get into this? They just ignored me. I am disabled and this is a lot of money to me but they could not care less. The good news is the Express are going to do a feature on this to warn other people. I will never set foot in Morrisons again

“Poor Customer Experience Wimbledon Morrisons ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 1954Gentry on 08/09/2018

I visited the Morrison's supermarket Wimbledon at 51 The Broadway Wimbledon,London, SW19 3RG on Wednesday 11th July 2018 - 20:35pm . The staff were more interested in the worldcup football results. I found the staff to be rude and unhelpful, even to the extent of having to call the police. I and 2 other customers bought several reduced goods and we had our receipts, but due to the wrong codes being used on the goods the tills made calculation errors The manager on duty failed to apologise for the incorrect coding on the goods and also made a scene and refused to accept the bar codes on the goods were not marked correctly. This was an obvious mistake on morrisons part Chaoticly run store. Football was more important to the staff, After advising the manager at headoffice no apology and no compensation received by September 2018 Poorly run store.

“messed our large orders around twice now missing half...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by jasonfantastic30 on 21/05/2018

at first i was a fan of morrisons yes they dont have a substitution policy of giving you the more expensive substitute for the same price as what youd ordered. but they usually have very few subs. well a year on from wen u started shopping online with them because me and my mum cant drive as were disabled and live in a rural Bristol village cleeve. northsomerset. then a couple of months ago i would get my groceries delivered a lot of subs and some items missing from my order but not wrote on the receipt so id have to call them for a refund. then a month ago 23rd april 2018 i live with my mum so i get my shopping delivered the Friday before she gets paid on the monday after that day her shopping was to be delivered by morrissons and its always a large order over £140 and that time the delivery lady came to the door said unfortunately i cant find 1 of your totes with your shopping. so she delivered what she could and left. i got onto the phone to morrisons and told them about this and they said the person loading the van didn't load half of our dry goods/ambient and that they would refund me i said thats no good we needed those items like today long life milk and other stuffs like dog food etc and she said ok what i cant do is arrange to have it redelivered Wednesday the items we didn't get and wave the delivery fee i said yes that would be great. and she gave me a £10 voucher to use off my next order. Wednesday came got the dispatch email with a 2 x 5p bag charge lol trying to charge me for bags that they already had in the missing tote. got that back because had load bags to hand back but was more than the 10p charge so the delivery driver deducted only 10p from the order so i called them again to explain and she said yeah because there was no balance as was a token code they made to get my shopping redelivered because they kept the money rather than refund me. so she had to refund the bags from the original Monday order lol. then i did my order as usual every 2 weeks on was OK for 2 weeks no issues then another order after the 18th i did my order we did another order for my mum for her shopping on 21st and i was waiting in the hallway for the driver to bring the shopping to the door. he was in the van looking around and then looked at me oddly and then turned away and i had a feeling something was up. he brought the totes with my mums shopping to the front door and then said unfortunately some one has place all our refrigerated goods in the ambient area room temperature and has been there since the morning. so he got onto the phone with the depot even though he was trying to get through for 10 mins and said ill pack this away and move the van then call them again so i shut the door started packing away some shopping to a nock at the door and he was there said head office said i cant give you the food because its against health and safety i can understand that but this is the 2nd time something big has happened like this. i told him about before and that we need that stuff its milk, bacon fresh meals etc obviously wasn't going to want it though as be ill but the fact they've inconvenienced use again. not like i can drive to go shopping. as i dont drive. also corner shops over priced and docent sell red milk. and i then got onto the phone to head office and complained they're arranging re delivery for Tuesday tomorrow now 10-11 am waving delivery charge. she said ill issue you a £10 voucher to say sorry i said no point as this was your second chance wont tempt fate again and she said instead if you want i can apply it to Tuesdays order and it will make the bill cheaper from £28.91p to £18.61 she price matched bacon because the bacon we ordered was out of stock so she credit 30p difference from the order as it wasn't my fault they went out stock so the sub should be same price. so she did. but im 100% not going to shop again with them something big would have to happen maybe some compensation or free order etc to say were realy sorry but nope just a voucher to use on another dodgy order lol thanx but no thanx. was thinking of selling this story to the sun or mirror i read tons of junk story's im sure they'd like this lol.

“Come on, Morrisons, who are trying to kid? Friday you...”

★★★★☆

written by Boonsie on 24/09/2017

Come on, Morrisons, who are trying to kid? Friday you reduced fresh strawberries to 1 pack for 1.50 as they were going out of date. You could buy 2 packs for 3.00 that had quite a few days freshness left. Feel like you were targeting the singles and the OAP's. Not a very good deal was it?

“Chicken woefully poor”

★★☆☆☆

written by Brunor29 on 07/05/2017

In general, like Morrisons, as a go-to food store, especially shopping for a special recipe. Chose to buy a few ingredients there this weekend, including the recipe centre-piece, of chicken breasts. Normally buy excellent chicken breasts from a local farm shop, at £10 for three packs of two. Yours were £5.05 for two 'Free Range Breast Fillets', which were tough, dry and tasteless, and made for a disappointing dish. Back to my farm shop tomorrow - won't be buying poultry from you again. Not good enough, and over-priced...you really could do better than this!

“Anniesland Morrisons increasing prices- Shop...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by bobx777 on 28/03/2017

Never fail to feel surprised when the Anniesland Morrison store sneaks continual price increases into their store. Their dish cleaning brush has jumped in price from 25p to £1 in just over one week. Their oasis drink has jumped from £1 to £1.97 also in just over one week. All their cakes have increased from £1 for a cream sponge to £1.45 again in just over one week. All fizzy soft drinks at Morrison can be bought for half the price at Farmfoods, Oasis, Tango 7 Up all of the soft drinks can be bought for £1 at Farmfoods. Morrison will charge you £1.97 for the same item. This review could go on and on with Morrison rip off prices. Their fish is sometimes suspect. The Basa fish that they sell is a Catfish which are mostly bred in cramped conditions in Thailand where there has been continual issues raised about the fish being bred in ponds which are stuffed full of steriods and antibiotics. Don't eat this fish which Morrisons promote. Finally, if you like a jar of Mussel, Morrison has increased their prices in one week from £1 per jar to £1.47 for the same jar. Think they are trying to have their customers pay for their recent store revamp.

“Express Tills”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Azul149 on 06/03/2017

What does 10 items or less mean. Nothing in Morrison stores. On several visits I have noticed customers with a lot more than 10 items through express tills. I have pointed this out to several managers including the store manager. I have even taken it up with their head office. It seems 10 items or less has no meaning, so feel free to take your items, no matter how many to any till you wish. You will not be challenged by any member of staff.

Its a captive market! If you dont have many other stations in a 3 mile radius then you can expect to be stung. The price will be determined at head office, likewise for the other supermarkets. There is no difference in quality, so it pays to shop around!
