well, I write this review after 2 frustrating experiences with Sainsburys on-line ordering. I put the first experience down to my status as a learner. However, as a seasoned Ocado user, it's clear that Sainsburys have a long way to go before I will return for a third time. I have been using the store very frequently for my weekly food shopping spending around 150 pounds each week. I was extremely disappointed with the poor service. Staff at the check out just watched me pile up my goods without helping. Interestingly they would always ask if I need help with my packing if I only purchased a few items. I am most impressed and will 100 per cent use again, just so easy.
My first time shopping on line with Sainsburys.I got an online £10 voucher so it only cost me £42's. I received a £10 off voucher for a 1st order on Sainsbury online, so I placed an order to give it a try.
Within the order, they took the liberty to substitute 5 packs of 1.5L of water (equivalent to 45L) with only 12 bottles of 2L (equivalent to 24L) for the same price.
Needless to say, I refused the whole order, and I have now to wait between 7 and 10 days for a full refund.
Nice try Sainsbury, but your customers are not that stupid !

Do NOT even think about using Sainsburys online; i never will again. Ordered and paid for bed frame; it took over 2 weeks to arrive, and on unpacking had two pieces of wood missing (major pieces!). was told i would have to reorder whole bed frame, send other back AND pay again (waiting for refund from first). What a joke. I returned bed and ordered from Sleepmasters instead (which was great by the way). Really not surprised with their fall in share prices today. Maybe finally consumers are realising we just cannot just be asked to pay more and more for a service that is getting worst and worst.
Our family had been using their online shopping for the past 5 years. We have seen our bill increased by 20 to 30% since the so-called recession started. The service is also getting worst. Ordered goods to be delivered on 2nd March; A couple of hours before it was due, I received a call from the local store informing me that the van broke down; I agreed for the goods to be re-delivered the following day. It is 6th March now and still have not had the order deliver, nor did I hear from Sainsburys. Forget Online ordering here. Sainsburys didn't deliver my groceries on the appointed day after a confusing mix up and then didn't deliver the next day as arranged either. I recently started shopping at morrisons.It was in doing so that I realised how poor sainsburys actually is in comparison.I had been shopping there weekly for a couple of years. I would never return now that I have experienced morrisons. The layout of the sainsbury store & goods isnt the best and it is sometimes dirty.Prices are very high incomparison with morrisons who I have to say are a lot cleaner. Sainsburys have failed to deliver. The first time they said it was due to computer crash but then turned out to be no drivers. We then scheduled it to next day and same thing happend but they failed to phone. Their response was pathetic and they didn't offer any compensation for our time wasted. DO NOT USE SAINSBURYS. In November I bought my daughter a "practical, easy wash/dry shell coat for school from Harlow Sainsbury's Tu range. It was white, but we had had white coats before that wash up each weekend, so I wasn't concerned about the colour. The first day that she wore it to school, she got splash marks up the back of the coat, as children do. Ordered a DVD player (SD3010) via Sainsbury online. Received e-mail to confirm arrival in store. Travelled across the city to collect. Once I managed to find the appropriate desk (hidden at back of store) I was handed my order in a sealed package. we went to wolverhampton, converted from a church in 1988 i think, the store had finished a busy day so 1 or 2 things were out of stock, but it was quiet and i got lots of things, particularly sainsburys basics, saving money. i generally enjoyed the vist and is an odd store, looks run down and spooky from the outside but just like your local store inside, modern and well done up. cannock is an original supermarket and a bit bigger, and it was a little busier but not by alot, and the wolvo one… Read Full Review

the store is big, very, it has a good choice, but the pork was not in stock and i managed to pick up one of a couple of packs of pork steaks left, because the snow and ice are effecting delivery times, got milk, chicken pork and a spicy chicken fillet which my dad loved from the oven fresh counter, lots of facilites, good quality and great staff made up for the delivery disasters which were not thier fault! at cannock, about 10 miles away they also had just bits and bobs of pork but not to… Read Full Review

Very very poor customer service from sainsbury's online. Failed to answer questions and address concerns and complete failure to offer a satisfactory response to me.
By using the online customer service I had responses from 5 different members of staff if varying degrees of good and bad english. Terrible experience. Paid extra for a friday delivery slot between 7-12, at 11.42 tracking website said item delivered, item has not been delivered and sainsbury customer service absolutely useless and can't help until monday morning.
