i ordered a chair to be delivered for a room i was decorating. Wanted the room complete as a surprise for someones' return from holiday, so ordered and paid £5 for specific delivery time...7-12pm on a Friday. Customer services? They don't know understand the concept at Sainsbury's. I had a health assessment in the store and was told to meet the assessor at the customer services counter. I reported on time and was told to wait. Customer services was busy but that was no excuse for no one getting back to me to let me know what was going on. We bought a Breville hand blender. After a few months it failed. We had not kept the ( weekly shopping!!) receipt but we had proof of purchase per Sale of Goods Act. When delivering to nearby houses, their vans constantly block my drive! I am fed up to the back teeth with them and have complained to Sainsburys three times but it still continues. They don't seem aware of the bad publicity this generates. Asda vehicles never do this… Read Full Review

I was looking at an Acer 5742 about two weeks ago when it was up for £350, good value, low and behold they took it down for a week then put it back up at £400 and had the cheek to call it 'great value', just in time for christmas, a real lesson in how to alienate customers, never mind that they can never seem to keep their shelves stocked, and their clothing line is a joke compared to even Asda… Read Full Review

I used to love Sainsburys. It was the only place I'd shop and I'd actually shop there happily. But this last year it has gotten so bad both in service and quality! Every time I go there they're sold out of the products I need, cant be bothered to go check in the back, and then they give me random days for when they'll have more. Ordered and checked out on Monday night, purchased 6 bottles of wine, all on buy 2 for £10, 2 bottles of spirits, both on offer for £14. Arranged for delivery Thursday on check out. Shopping arrived (10 minutes out of delivery slot) and found i had been charged full price for everything, so paid approx £30 more than expected. I ordered 'Sons of Anarchy' box set 1-3 in september, as it was due out on 10/10/11. I had recieved a confirmation about my order which was reassuring that everything was ok, and the item will get to me in a few days after release date. Shop layout fine but looks a bit grubby in places. Staff ignorant and only interested in chatting amongst themselves, customers made to feel like an inconvenience. Kiosk always busy but understaffed. Checkout staff lacking in intelligence, common sense and friendliness. The fresh butcher meat department is a disgrace, always running out of stock and what is available is of very low quality. Beware of the Substitued Item!!! Tesco offers you the alternative at the same price as the one ordered. NOT SO WITH SAINSBURYS. The A4 sheet which shows the alternative item shows the original item price and "see receipt" for the substituted item. HMMMM! I was done... Fisrt time to use the Sainsburys Online for Groceries. I've been shopping on-line with Sainsbury's for about ten years, probably more. Before going on holiday I placed an order for delivery the day after I returned from holiday. I ordered 3 bottles of wine which was on special offer i.e. 3 for £12. well, I write this review after 2 frustrating experiences with Sainsburys on-line ordering. I put the first experience down to my status as a learner. However, as a seasoned Ocado user, it's clear that Sainsburys have a long way to go before I will return for a third time. I have been using the store very frequently for my weekly food shopping spending around 150 pounds each week. I was extremely disappointed with the poor service. Staff at the check out just watched me pile up my goods without helping. Interestingly they would always ask if I need help with my packing if I only purchased a few items. I received a £10 off voucher for a 1st order on Sainsbury online, so I placed an order to give it a try.
Within the order, they took the liberty to substitute 5 packs of 1.5L of water (equivalent to 45L) with only 12 bottles of 2L (equivalent to 24L) for the same price.
Needless to say, I refused the whole order, and I have now to wait between 7 and 10 days for a full refund.
Nice try Sainsbury, but your customers are not that stupid !
